Not a very ambitious weight goal because I expect TOM this week. If I can just hold steady, I'll be thrilled.

Have any of you read The Beck Diet Solution? It's a series of skills and habits for weight-loss. I've found it very effective in the past, but I've gotten looser. I'm restarting the book this week.

Met last week's goal of 235.0

Weigh in this morning was 234.2 lbs. :clap:

Goal this week is to stay on plan (not overeat low carb stuff like last night) and lose 2 lbs. for the week.

Not the right direction! TOM due any day. I feel huge!

I'm going to try to keep my calories a little lower. Though I've been tracking, I think I've been eating more than needed.

Good morning! Well, it was a crazy long weekend of camping with family, friends, and my oldest son brought some friends from his base home for the long weekend. I didn't lose, but thankful that I didn't gain. Finally got SLEEP last night, and starting fresh today!
7/8: 158.8
Goal 7/15: 155.8

Yvonnem, sorry I never got back to you about the paleo/primal recommendation. My favorite books are anything by Mark Sisson (Primal Blueprint), I also love the Paleomg site for recipes, although I try to stick to the lower carb ones most of the time, as I'm still trying to drop my bodyfat %.

I took a baby step in the right direction. I did get TOM yesterday, so hopefully in a few more days I'll go back down. I'm 42 now, and I've noticed that during TOM I blow up like a balloon! It's crazy! Eventually the balloon pops and I get back to "normal."

As for tracking what I eat, hopefully it's just a habit now and I can continue. I'm actually eating pretty well, and not feeling deprived. When I don't track I overeat and feel yucky, so I'm better off if I can just stick with it.

I weighed. 239.0. I'm very very VERY happy with that. So I'll use that as my starting weight this week. Shooting for 236.

I'm glad to be under 150. A month ago I got back from a camping trip, and I haven't been able to stay below that since then. Counting calories seems to be working for me.

DD left to go back to college today. That always hits me so hard. Last time she left it made me want to eat. Today I feel more like one of those heroines in books who loses her appetite when upset. (That's never been me!) I know from experience I'll be fine in a day or two, but today is hard.

Back up to 159.4 today :( . But I haven't been that good this week. My body likes to stick right around the 160ish point, and so I need to get serious and make it past 155, so it will let go of this set point. Losing inches though.

I was so strict and focused yesterday and ate fewer calories than usual but stayed close to my fitbit calorie goal. I really wanted to throw myself in a vat of hot fudge and not come out, but I resisted with all my might. Still gained. I'm sad. I'll keep it up today and not lose hope!
