Ha Ha - far from that. But the wardrobe I have is starting to fit better. Am wearing the jeans that were too tight at the beginning of this no reward eating and they fit ok now and the spare tire is definitely deflating!

I am down .6 this morning so that is 11.4 since July 19 or about 2 weeks. I am going with the chicken thighs for awhile because they have tasted the best so far and did not derail me yet. I will eat raw broccoli and spinach combo and the one potato and two tbl of coconut oil for awhile.

Is the sign in yet? How does it look?

I expect we will hear from the gang today. Have a great Friday Blitzers!

Hey, what ever happened to britt?....she was a lot of fun...hope the boy didn't devour her during one of his sleep-eating episodes!...

The hole is dug but their crane broke down yesterday so they couldn't set the poles or pour the concrete, so they parked a pickup truck over the hole til they come back, hopefully on Monday...but only after they drove over a sheet of plywood covering the hole and the truck crashed through it...took an excavator to lift them out...what a circus...today I am dealing with the gyms a/c issues....ugh!

Check back later...have fun kids!

Happy Friday!

I've been reading the posts but haven't had much to say. I'm sick of Summer. Can't wait for it to be over.

The scale isn't moving and I'm getting frustrated and the dreaded weekend is approaching.

ff, please let us know what the doctor said.

Tony, send pictures of your sign - we want to see what you have accomplished. And I wish you could ship me some blueberries - I love them!!! My favorite berry pie is blueberry.

Abs, congratus on the loose close and the weight loss. Good on ya, mate!

TTFN

have to put the dr on the back burner.

i called the union twice today. i got them to admit that they have all the info necessary to process my claim. i insisted that they call me on mon at high noon to resolve the situation...else there will be litigation. i am able to hobble around the house with pain, but without the walker, usually. outside the apartment, i still need the walker. after monday, hopefully, i can get to the dr. with my current stress levels, blood pressure and blood sugar readings would be meaningless. fortunately, a little food goes a long way. i AM hoping to get out tomorrow to pay my rent and futilities, and MAYBE, just MAYBE have my pistachio ice cream at Dunkin', if I can get there ($20.00 round trip)FF

ff, did you not get the check you were expecting?...if not, this is really ridiculous - in fact, it's criminal in my opinion!...i know it's really not my business, but i do not think you should put off seeing a doctor any longer...if your blood work and bp are high and your leg is still bad, you may be susceptible to a serious medical event that will compromise your long term health and independence...get to the doctor!

marilee, do you think the blueberries would keep if i overnighted them to you?...i could probably fill zip-loc bags and put them in a fedex-type box...i'd love to do it...let me know what you think :-)

Just stopping by. I have felt awful for over a week now, having medical problems as usual. Haven't even been able to workout because my heart is acting weird. I have another appointment at the end of the month with a different dr and I am going to ask about the genetics testing they mentioned last time.

Abi, congrats on the weight loss!

FF, I agree with Tony. You need to not put off going to the dr. any longer - please. And if you are still not receiving your pension check it does appear to be criminal. They are making interest money off your money.

Artemis, please get that heart thing checked out asap. We are worried about you! Thanks for the congrats!

Marilee, what about you, have you ever had that anxiety heart palpitation thing checked out? I am now worried about most of our Blitzers! I bet by sometime next week you will have some delicioius blueberries from Tony, Marilee. Enjoy!

Tony, that deal with the crane, the hole, the truck really was a circus! Let's hope everything goes as planned today!

I am one pound of being where I was when I joined the Blitzers. So I am glad for that and need to not let up and backslide again! I am down .8 today so that is now and 12.2 pounds in 16 days.

Will check back later to see what everyone is up to today. I am getting ready to do some much needed house cleaning!

Guyanet says if you want salt in your diet to dissolve it in water and drink it but don't sprinkle it on your food. I started today to dissolve 1/4 teas to 1/2 teas. of salt in a little warm water and drink it. I am using sea salt which has more minerals. am using sea salt which has more minerals. I think that will give me between 600 and 1200 mg of sodium which is still low but enough for health.

have had a nice day so far...hung out in the pool, hot tub, and then went to the yankee homecoming festival in newburyport - live music and had some frozen yogurt at "orange leaf" and pan sauteed cod fish at "not your average joe's" - very tasty... :-)

what's everyone else up to today?

DH decided out of the blue that it would be nice to go over to Keene last night to Longhorn Steakhouse. He didn't have to ask me twice. I am supposed to have 2 regular meals a week and this one was great. Filet, salad and fresh green beans. Of course I am up 1.6 this morning - full of sodium. lol Oh well, back on it today. Plan on having 3 poached eggs at the backside this morning and will drink black coffee.

Will check in later. Have a good day all!

Marilee, you were up late or did you wake up and couldn't sleep? Hope you had a relaxing weekend.

I did read the first 5 chapters of the Agatha Christi mystery yesterday because I knew I wouldn't have much time to read before Friday. Still trying to keep the characters separated- lol.

Tony, the poached eggs were fine. Not as tasty after that great steak meal the night before though. Our waitress just shakes her head. What, no bacon?

I am down some from yesterday. .6 so that is still up 1 pound from Saturday morning. It's to be expected. Packing broccoli, chicken thigh, and green tea for lunch. Maybe some fresh spinach before it goes bad.

Have a great day Blitzers!

she's gonna be shaking her head even more when she's trying to recognize your skinny butt in a couple of months...you should start going to the cc again for awhile, just so you can go back in the fall and shock her! :-)

Congrats on the weight loss. You are awesome.

mystery solved.

i am waiting for the union supv for retirement benefits to return my call. when the bank officer notarized and faxed my beneficiary request, the amount of pages received was different from the pages sent. i just noticed that an hour ago. i am sure it will be rectified before year's end. i will probably blow it all on a horse at belmont or aquaduct raceway. i left the house yesterday, for the first time in 10 days. after taking care of business, i treated myself to 2 scoops of pistachio in a waffle cone, washed down by a large iced coffee. the pants are still getting bigger. i hope to make it to the dr by Saturday. once the situation with my leg is resolved, i can pick up everything which fell on the floor, do a laundry, and get a new fridge.1st i have to empty the one i have. i cannot physically do that, until the right leg is fully functional. congrats to all who are dropping lbs. i will broadcast my #s, as soon as i know them. FF

ff, so nice to hear from you! I'm glad you got out of the house and treated yourself to an ice cream cone. Good for you!

I know how hard it is to bend down and pick things up. I have one of those grabber gizmos and it really helps. Just a thought.....

FF, glad to hear from you. You sound good except for the pain in the leg. Hope the pistachio cone was as delicious as you have imagined for the last few months! Also happy the pants are getting looser. That is a great feeling!

Hope all is ok with Lori and Artemis! We miss hearing from you both. And Vicki, where are you too?

Marilee, I was thinking about the grabber thingy too for FF. lol Thanks for the encouraging words too!

Tony, the cc is not opened for breakfast this year. They just did not make enough money to keep it going. Kind of sad. The Yankee homecoming sounded like alot of fun. Where are all these yankees coming home from - Alabama? lol

I am still paying for the steak dinner Sat. night. I am down .4 from yesterday but still not back to what I was on Sat. morning. Still glad to see a drop from yesterday.

Tony, I just ate a small mashed potato for breakfast and will eat chicken thighs and raw broccoli for the next two meals. If I am hungry at break at 9 I will eat some of my lunch. Free lunch will be pizza today. It did not bother me two weeks ago when they had it. Hope it won't today either.

Have a great day all!

Lori, some weeks are like that especially with 4 children and a full time job. I don't know how you do it except by one day at a time!

Tony, wish I could enjoy a nice water flush day. Just would not work at the candle factory I'm afraid.

I am down .2 pounds today but still not back to last Saturday's weight. Am mixing it up today. No potato and am having water packed tuna on lettuce. No mayo or salt. The tuna has plenty of sodium. We will see how that goes. The free pizza did not bother me yesterday and one of my buddies was happy to have my two slices.

DH goes to see the neurosurgeon today at Dartmouth to talk about back surgery. The poor guy has suffered for almost a year now.

Have a great day Blitzers!

the dr IS in on Saturdays.

i must admit, i AM curious about what i weigh. i am certain now that the pension issue will be resolved by month's end. i just mailed my brother the Pokonos check. Hard to believe it is only 2 months away. i hope it will be cold and dry. I hope the doc has something for the leg pain. the topical creams just do not cut the mustard. the over the counter tablets cannot be used by me owing to "conditions" like HTN etc. Well, we shall see. Marilee, enjoy those fresh blueberries from Tony! Love your avitar. My feeliings exactly!

FF, that pokonos trip will be so nice for you. Get out of the city and enjoy the fresh air. Two months will go quickly. I am so hoping you get your pension check by months end! Love that the pants are getting looser and looser!

Tony, I bet you can't wait for that sign to go up tomorrow. A stone planter will look so nice around it! Don't forget the pictures when it is all finished or one tomorrow and one after you and DW build the planter.

The tuna and lettuce did the trick and I am down to Saturday's weight now. One pound from last year's weight and then begin the losing of the extra weight. I will do the same as yesterday. Water packed tuna, lettuce, green tea and 2 tbl of coconut oil.

Dartmouth will call DH in a couple of days with his surgery date. He really likes his Dr. Hope he is the one that will do surgery and not one of the newbies. It is a teaching hospital.

Have a great Thursday Blitzers!

abs, so happy to hear that your hubby can see relief on the horizon...i know all-too-well the difficulty of living with debilitating pain...like dartmouth, mass general is a teaching hospital, but i don't think either place would earn their excellent reputations without making sure the experienced guy is right there directing what is happening in the o.r....right?

sadly, the blueberry thing isn't working out...i picked up all the blues the farm had yesterday, which was about 4 lbs., but when i took them to the shipping place, they told me they were doubtful they would make it without some kind of ice pack and that the ice pack might crush the berries...it would have cost about $140-$160 to ship them with no guarantees they would be edible when they got to az...so i'm trying to figure out something else...if anyone has any ideas, let me know!...marilee is so sweet and i want to do this (even though she doesn't want me to!), but i don't want to send her mush...

off to the gym and then to work...see you guys later on...have a great day!

Tony, Tony, Tony....I sent you an email this morning. Save your money....that's way too much to spend on blueberry juice

I can't wait to see pictures of your sign. You've worked hard for this.

Abi, good job on getting that weight off. It's such a struggle, I know.
