Your wife looks just like Sarah or vice versa. Both gorgeous! You can't beat having the ocean as a backdrop for a wedding! Loved the big family picture and the one of your 5 children.

I have switched to beef this week instead of chicken - so it will be 1tbl of flavorless coconut oil, hot tea, mostly green tea, cube steak, one potato and raw broccoli each day

Scale says exactly the same as yesterday. First day not showing a loss but that was going to happen. I will just keep on keeping on.

Tony, I think at the risk of putting our waitress at the Backside into a conniption fit I will order tea to drink and 3 poached eggs. I am afraid if I order scrambled they will add salt and maybe sour cream or something to them

omg, abs, better have an ambulance standing by for that waitress!...i am so proud of you for your commitment - it is paying off big time!...you are earning every ounce of this losing streak!

may go to RI today - up in the air...don't know why but i have been feeling sleepy lately...if i lie down on the couch, i start dosing, no matter the time of day...of course i was up til almost 2 last night...weird...

good to see you, vicki!...how are you doing?

ff is okay and is seeing the leg doc on tuesday...he is such a nice guy...

Thanks so much for the update on FF, Tony! Can't imagine why you are tired after staying up until 2am! Were you working on a song?

The waitress was in shock. She had already written my order down and brought my coffee to the table. The 3 poached eggs tasted heavenly even without salt or pepper. I drank the coffee black and was totally satisfied. Two weeks ago I wouldn't even consider coffee without cream. lol

going to the Dr. on Tuesday.

paying bills on Monday. Love the pix, Tony. I was out last Thurs when it was nice and cool. Pity all of summer could not be like that. Aug 1 is Emperor(uncle)Claudius' birthday. I wil offer sacrifice to him for a nice long cool weather break. It doesn't hurt to ask. It is hard to believe that I did a 4 hour walk that weekend, 3 years ago, in plus 90 degree weather. Now, it is quite a trip to get from my bed to the bathroom. When I am back to normal, I want to walk along the water's edge at the beach like I used to, this time of year. I will never take walking for granted. I never did. Stay cool, y'all! FF

FF, so happy to hear from you. I still remember you taking that 4 hour walk in 90 degree weather. Happy you got out on thursday on our cool day. Hope the Dr. can determine what is causing the leg pain tomorrow and fix it quick!

Running behind this morning so will keep this short. Was down 1.2 pounds today and that is 10.4 in the last 10 days. It is not easy eating no seasoned food but the rewards on the scale are worth it.

wow, abi, that is simply amazing!...shows how we should eat - as you are currently just eating healthy food when you need the nourishment...i bet your calories are 1/3 of what you would normally eat...a 10 lb. loss equals 35,000 calories below what it takes to maintain your current weight...some may have been fluid, but it is so healthy to get rid of excess fluid and fluid is excess weight too!...i am so proud of you...i bet you can d=see and feel the difference already!

I have ready chapter one. I do not want anyone to feel like they are behind or left out.

Does everyone who wants to read feeling like 5 chapters is too much by 8/9 (Friday)? So then after 8/9 we are free to discuss first 5 chapters?

From chap 1 it seems as if it will be interesting!

If I don't forget to read it, I think I can get 5 chapters done by 8/9. I have read afew pages already. I do find it hard to read it off the computer rather than having a book in my hand. Old fashioned lol.

Hope FF gets some definite answers from his dr. today!

I was up .2 today, no big deal. I certainly can live with small bounces. Definitely going to change from cube steak next week. It is like chewing shoe leather. lol Now if it was a fatty rib eye it would be no problem but then it would taste too good to be a no reward meal. lol I have added one more tbl of coconut oil during the day.

hey abs, if you weren't bouncing at all, you'd probably be sick!...this no rewards thing is a serious way to lose weight, that's for sure...i really like the idea...

wish you were here, marilee...we had a lot leftover and there was one steak i didn't even cook!...they were yummy...had sauteed summer squash, zucchini and onions and corn on the cob...

FF, best wishes with your Dr.'s appointment today! Hope you enjoyed Casablanca last night!

I am down .4 pounds today. I just can't handle the shoe leather cube steaks another day in a row so had some individual cryovaced tilapia filets in the freezer. Easy to cook gently. You know I don't like fish unless it is tuna with mayo or breaded and fried so I am rock bottom in my food choices. lol

They had wraps for free lunch yesterday with potato and macaroni salads. I really was just as happy with my potato, broccoli and shoe leather meat for lunch.

where is everyone?...

ff, how did you make out at the doc's today?...

made beef stew tonight as it is one of emmy's favorites...then i sent the rest home with her, along with three bags of groceries and the rest of the blueberry cake her mom made...dw and four of our kids have a tradition of going blueberry picking and today was the day...i must have eaten a pound of them and they are all over the house - freezer, fridge, counter, kitchen table, dining table, etc...

no gym today - instead, i played wiffle ball for two hours with my three sons which is a much more intense workout!...then the six of us, including dw spent over an hour in the pool...it was so nice to have them all here, but i missed sarah...

they are digging the holes for the sign tomorrow and i am meeting with a paving, sealcoating, parking lot striping guy as my lot needs some work...gotta be there at 7 a.m....

Tony, you will have to post a picture of your new sign after it gets installed! By the way, I was pleasantly surprised that the tilapia tasted ok. Sort of sweet and reminded me of scallops which I do like. I am eating it again today but shopping after work and may pick up some chicken thighs. Looking for something that does not taste dry. Will of course remove the skin as it would be too tasty.

Waiting to hear from FF.

I am down .2 pounds today so still loving the daily drop even it it is small. Working a little each day on the new machine and hoping I can feel pretty confident before one of the ladies goes on vacation in a couple of weeks.

Lori and Marilee, I hope to take the time this weekend to read my 5 chapters of the book. Maybe if I unplug the laptop and hold it on my lap it will feel more like I am holding a book. lol

abs, why don't you douse the chicken thighs in gasoline before you eat them as that will certainly remove any possible reward!...haha!...i crack myself up sometimes :-) congrats on another loss - that is so awesome!...

gotta run - have a long day ahead, but had a play-day yesterday, so no complaints...hope y'all have a GREAT DAY!

LOL Tony, you cracked me up too.

Had my chicken thigh and some raw spinach for dinner. It tasted heavenly, probably because even though it was skinless there were little pockets of fat in it. Hope they don't derail me. I have 3 more that I cooked for tomorrow etc.

I think everyone will be back by tomorrow. They just needed some r & r after the weekend.
