wow, i think you're right, marilee...not much chatter on here today :-)

i had a crazy day for sure - lots of stuff going on at work - i am getting and reviewing paving and seal-coating quotes at the building and lots of other stuff...all my hot tenant prospects have been silent this week, which isn't bothering me at all...getting some stuff done on my car and truck too...i get a new bedliner put in tomorrow...

had a great workout at the gym yesterday and will go again in the morning...i have another mediation class tomorrow night and lots of work in between...i LOVE being so busy!...but 90% of it is on my own schedule, which is soooooo nice :-)

made a beef tenderloin roast tonight and it was pretty good - wife had gotten too much for steak sandwiches a few days ago, so i used this as a roast...

tomorrow is weigh-in day and it will be the first in two weeks as i was in nashville last week...therefore, i have to be at 229.2 or lower to avoid a restriction as that is 2 weeks x a minimum loss of .2lbs per week...i will let you know how it goes...i was at 229.4 this morning...this is the slowest i've ever lost weight, except when i have been GAINING!...so i'm not gonna complain!

hey bec, how's the painting coming along?...you are doing so well staying on plan - you and marilee are inspiring the rest of us...that means you and me abi!...haha!

Ha Ha Tony! I am happy to have Bec and Marilee's inspiration too! I am posting a picture at the bottom my niece's husband posted today on FB. It is a view pretty close to the one from Mom's house except there were always alot of trees in the way of the view. He must have been down along the nature path that you can see from the Marina. You can see the red barns where the cheese factory is and right after the little white house to the right would be the road to your friend's house and the country club. It's a lovely photo.

Have a great day all. Must go get the truck built up with pillows so I can reach the gas peddle.lol

no one's perfect

not even me. stress, that is even more stress than i could possibly endure, caused me to have a 2 day off-plan episode. however, it was self-limiting. i enjoyed what i ate; did my penitance in the chamber utensil, and moved on. i will be at the Dr. on 9/30/13, the last day of this blitz. i will ask her for percoset. it worked when i had my total knee replacement. all i am asking is for 12 hrs relief per day. during that time, i can do what needs to be done. once i am back in the house, i can hobble around with the walker. i had to pay a call on the lady who is the intermediary at my former employ. she processes the part of the withdrawal form that is hers & faxes it over to the retirement fund(this is not the pension people). i was going to let that $$$ sit and earn interest till compelled by law, at age 70, to start making withdrawals. well, i had withdrawn some money earlier this year, and now i need to do it again. THEORETICALLY, i should be receiving my pension benefits (from March 2013 to the present)into my acct directly. i will only believe it when i see it. otherwise, i am enjoying this pre-fall weather. it is still warm in my house though. I will stop by on 9/30/13. FF

we miss you, buddy!...you need something to treat the RA...make sure you get it!...painkillers only mask the symptoms and may give you short-term relief but if they treat the underlying cause, the relief will be systemic and longer-lasting...good luck!...

In class now...well, actually it starts in 10 minutes so I thought I'd say hello...forgot to tell you I sighed in at 228.8 this morning so no restrictions...I'm liking this plan, even though the losses are slow, it forces me to keep moving in the right direction or face the consequences...that's what I need with my psychology...

Today:
B: hb egg white
L: olives
D: ?

Hey all....crazy week at work - I think I told you all that already.

Hi ff!!!!!!! I'm hoping you get relief soon for both your physical and financial needs. You've been through enough.

I thought I'd post my picture so Bec could see who she was "talking" to and to remind you all what I look like.

I've been so good on plan - I am expecting the scale to drop some more. Even though he has leveled off, I know I'm losing. I have a goal of 2 pounds a week. But, I'll take any kind of loss.

Good job, Tony! I love "no restrictions". I'm kind of a rebellious, free spirit so that suits me.

FF, good to hear from you! Sorry that you have to withdraw from your retirement fund while you wait for your pension money to come in. Hope you get some pain medicine that will help you function when you have to leave your apartment.

DH had a good app. yesterday with the surgeon that did his back surgery. All is fine and he should get back to normal and not be sitting in his recliner all day! He reminded DH that he still has arthritis in his back and that is what is causing most of his pain. DH admits that after he gets going the stiffness and pain subsides some. Hoping he will get the "hayfield " out back mowed today. He does have a riding mower so that should not be overdoing it. lol

They had me in a different area of the plant yesterday. I was out in shipping packing candles to go to stores and individuals. Kind of like trying to put a jig saw puzzle together trying to pack all different sizes so all are protected and standing up right.

Bec, Marilee and Tony, you guys are really going to town! I need a new plan that can get me fired up too!

Have a wonderful Thursday Blitzers!

Hey abs, happy your hubby had a good doc visit...it's heard to accept we are getting older and our bodies don't respond the way they used to...I know I get frustrated with that and expect that getting to 100% doesn't mean the same thing it meant 20 years ago...

Although I have to say, I am feeling great right now...had a great workout at the gym this morning and I can pretty much do all my weight and aerobic work with no issues whatsoever...keeping my fingers crossed!

Hey Marilee, let me know the scent you choose!

I have eaten so little today:
B: 1/2 banana
L: 3 chicken wings
D: nothing yet

Hi everyone!

May I join you? I have read a lot of the challenges and you all seem like a good fit for me - supportive, fun, and friendly.

I am new to this site (this is my first post!)but not low carb - I have tried Sugar Busters and South Beach - but I am now giving Atkins a go. I think it is the only diet I haven't tried in my almost 40 year dieting history! So far, so good. I have lost 9 lbs since Monday (and yes I know it is lame to claim them already, but it has been literally a year since the scale moved in any direction except up) which is totally amazing to me.

Anyway, I am a yo-yo dieter/binger and I have got to stop. I turn 50 <gulp> in January 2015, and I want to begin that stage of my life fit and healthy. I am taking it day by day, but my lofty goal is to stay cheat free until my 49th birthday in Jan, so 3.5 months. I think I can do it! Staring 10/1 I will incorporate walking, with a goal of 30 miles for the month.

Off to make cheeseburgers and salad for dinner.

Have a good night!

Hi Mimsey! Welcome to our little but wonderful group.

I've been on every diet in the world, as well. You will find that we in this group are on various eating plans some LC some sort of LC - we just want to support each other on our health journey.

I'm 64 - almost 65, single (I was married so briefly so many years ago, I don't count it), with 4 cats. I know the crazy old cat lady. That's me!

I hope you stay with us and post often so we can get to know you.

Abi, thanks for the link to the candle store.

Tony, I love the food fragranced candles, but I'd better go with something that won't make me hungry. I'll let you know.

welcome mim!...we are very very very happy to have you join us...we are a friendly bunch - definitely not the group that will judge or beat up on anyone...that may be why there are so few of us...haha!...

we all do some variable of low carb - i'm probably the least LC of the bunch as i eat fruit and a bit of this and that, but try to avoid processed carby food, sugars, breads, etc., although i allow myself a taste of anything i really want...

congrats on the awesome jump-start!...9 lbs. is 9 lbs.!!!...you deserve to feel good about it...

marilee, if i smelled a chocolate brownie candle, i'd be making a tray!

Mimsy, we are glad you have joined us as we all struggle along! Wishing you the best of luck on the no cheat until your birthday Jan. The walking goal starting Oct. 1 is a great motivator too. Do you have a path laid out or just wear a pedometer?

Bec, super that you are maintaining. That is what I am doing at the moment. Much better than seeing the numbers go up every day!

Marilee, glad you got my link to the candle factory ok. I will probably be in the packing dept. for awhile until they get caught up. I feel like I am working at one of those ups places. lol Love the flexible tube of packing peanuts next to my work station!

Tony, happy you are not on restriction this week!

Have a great day Blitzers!

Good morning! TGIF! The last day of "crazy week".

The scale finally went down a pound this morning. I can't wait for Monday morning's official weigh-in time. I'll let you know the good news (it better be).

84 degrees today - YEEHAW!!!! Tomorrow morning it will be 64. I will take my coffee and book and go sit on the patio on my new patio set. I haven't used it yet since I haven't been outside since around the end of May - too dang hot!

Time to get to work. TTFN

Tony, can't put anything over on you! They call it an optional day where you can work or not. I had a couple of personal days left so decided to take it off. Have been moving furniture and cleaning today.

Marilee, I can just imagine you enjoying your coffee and book out on your patio in the morning! It will be lovely! We still want to see pictures of the patio!

Need to go to the store. Talk to you all later!

I hit a new low: 274 this morning. I am 3 weeks on plan. I have to prepare myself for next month. The loss won't be this much or this steady. All is good back at work tonight.
