Poor Merlin.

55 wow! Becky and I are turning 57 this fall. Oh well age is just a number.

My eye appointment ran late so I got to work around 15 minutes late. It was another very busy day yesterday. I got out 15 minutes late which is better then I expected.

I don't work till Friday. I didn't sign up for extra hours because I have skill day tomorrow. I have been trying to pick up hours but I have a busy few months coming up and won't have much extra time. With the wedding and the new house lots if money going out.

So far the closing still on for Friday.

Saw a dress in Talbots catalogue and may order it. I like the plum color and there is a shawl to match. May work for wedding. It is a day wedding and a Sunday and the dress is simple but on the dressy side.

My weight has been going up a little. I knew my loss wouldn't stick but I am fine,

Becky, I would miss my husband too. He is going away tomorrow till Thursday for work.

Kelly, I eat chicken wings and can plow through a pile. DH makes them with a marinade made up north where we used to live.

Schools start late August here. My sons district starts a week earlier. In NY we started after Labor Day.

Thanks Becky!! Most plans are happening next week.
Though DH and I are going out with another couple Thursday night after TWAW meeting for dinner.
Dinner with the family next week also, and 2 couples we do things with a lot next Friday . . .

Debbie - you're right - it's just a number!
Is the dress in the new catalog? I just got that in the mail today - I'll go look!
My DH is still in Pittsburgh - hopefully on his way to Chicago now . . . and then home about midnight.

I can eat cake anytime but now that I eat gluten free no cake unless it is flourless . That is all they have out and I won't bake at home for fear of eating too much.

Had a great run tonight. My friend is back after going home to Texas. Her sister died suddenly. So sad.

The dress is in the August 2013 catalogue pg 32. I want the color shown.I ordered a 4 petite. I hope it fits and I like it. It is simple but perfect for a Sunday 1130am wedding. I ordered the shawl too. I had a $25 dividend. Still not cheap.
Not sure what shoes to wear because it will be outside on the grass for the ceremony. I want a dressy wedge. I can't wear a big heel. I will be in pain. I also have to see what jewelry I will wear.

Went to PT yesterday.......she thinks I have a torn meniscus. Working on that.

Cut and color tonight......wish I could come up with new style.

Love your mug, MK!

Cindy, you should see the orthopedist. My husband tore his meniscus. He had surgery around 3 years ago.

My husband left for Boston today. He comes back tomorrow.

I have skills day at work from 1:45-6. Contemplating going for a run now but originally was going to the track at 6:30. Did the track last night and DH won't be there. The only thing is I just ran last night and it s good to wait 24 hours. Need to decide soon. I will get it in either way. Plus I will be alone tonight.

The thought of being alone tonight just made my decision for me. I will go right after skills day so I can be with friends.

I have my haircut and brows next Thursday. I hate growing out my hair so it never changes. I can't deal with in between length. I would love a change but every time I grow it longer I cut it short again. I color my own hair to save money. My hair cut is $70 plus tip for a short quick haircut every 5 weeks. Plus I get my brows done. That is $15 and worth it.

MK, I hope Merlin is behaving with his drain.

Kelly, your parents there??

Becky, so what kind of jewelry did you pick out??

Jenn, is at the beach. Lucky her!

Then there is Kaye. Come back and update us please.

Just finished running. Going home to empty house and frozen gluten free lasagna I guess.

I am glad I came to the track to be with people and I think I picked up a few volunteers for my half marathon medical team. Getting 30 volunteers with the right training is not easy. I work hard at it.

I would probably pay $100 for highlight and color. I can't see highlights when my hair is short and cut every 5 weeks. I also color every 4-5 weeks and would cover the highlights.

Happy Birthday " Eve" MK.

Eve is back!!

Welcome back Eve! Where ya been girl?

Kim ran 13 miles!!! Yowzers!

I pay $43 for cut only. I color my own, seems silly for an ex hairdresser to pay for color but cut I can't do on myself.

Poor baby!!! Get to the doctor!!

I found a new cut in a magazine and we're working toward that - but my hair needs to be longer.

I love the mug too! DD26 did a good job!

Cute dress!! And wedges would be perfect! If the grass is dry it won't matter ~ you could wear heels and not sink in.

Hi Eve!!!!

I'm not sure how much I pay for cut, color, highlights (or lowlights depending on the season), brows and brow color (because they're going gray too!) ~ but I go on Friday, so I'll let you know!

Becky - you'll have to post pics of your jewelry!!!
