Debbie-enjoy your vacation! It is very easy for me to gain 5 pounds, but very hard for me to lose it!

Cindy-hope you feel better soon!

Kelly-most of the supper sounded delicious!

MK-sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I hope you are able to find a good balance for your food.

Becky-How is the painting coming?

Not sure what's going on today. I think we may go to the pool and of course, there is VBS tonight. Oh, and I'm down another pound! A few more weeks and we will be at the beach!

Hi!

Good day so far!
I went to the gym in the morning monsoon (I was actually drying my shoes and socks with the blow dryers in the locker room!!)
Then to Target, TJ Maxx, Kroger and my mom's and I didn't have any problems.

Fingers crossed that this med works!

+2... I HATE prednisone! Still have 2 days of 1/2 pill to take.

I have IBS too, go from one to the other. I hate when the other strikes when I'm not at home. When Kim had her gall bladder removed, I spent the majority of the time in the hospital bathroom! I take an ability to reduce the anxiety that causes it.

Waiting for the girls, Kim's out on a run

Is this week over yet?
Still fighting this thing - feel kinda crappy, but not bad enough to waste a sick day - although I sure could use a mental day off.....maybe later in the summer!

MK - my friend has IBS and had the same issues as you - she'd eat, and off to the restroom she would go - hope these meds work.

Becky - hang in there - this will be over before you know it - although it's been a while!

Same here with weight gain for me - and I have found the older I get the harder it is to take off. I have been back on SB solid since Sunday - hoping that and my new HIIT work out, I will see some changes. I know also, I need to be more consistent with my strength training, but I find it SO boring.....

Off to work - DH not back till late tonight, so dinner on my own again.....

Anxious to hear if Debbie and Kelly meet up!

Morning!

Cindy-sorry you are still feeling icky! Have a great time in Montreal!

to everyone else

I got sunburned at the pool yesterday and I'm a bit sore, so think the girls and I will be staying home today. I do have a few errands to run though, and will get those done here in a bit.

VBS tonight, of course.

Best news is that I lost another pound. Down 4 total so far. I can't tell you how excited I am to see downward movement after so long. I think I have finally found something that works! Yea!

Okay, enough of that...just happy!

Hope you ladies have a great day! Feel better, Cindy!

Came home at 1:30.
Didn't feel well, and people were annoying me, so that just added to it.
Stopped at Sally Beauty to exchange some nail polish, then Walmart to grab a couple plants on clearance for the deck.

We don't leave for Montreal until the 20th. We get back on the 22nd. I am off from the 19th through the 23rd.

So Jenn, are you going to let us know what you are doing? Congrats on the loss!!!

Back to FNL......

TGIF!

I got an email from my boss asking if I had gone home sick?
I did write her up an email - she had someone in her office.....must have forgot to hit send! But come on - I told two people I went home sick. Right now, and it doesn't happen often - I am not liking many of the people I work with.......and how do you handle one of your close co workers who works out with the boss almost every lunch hour and seems to take advantage of that relationship? There isn't a soul I could talk to about it......recently it seems like she thinks she is exempt from some things.....and her "just kidding" comments are getting real old. Sigh.

MK - you leave tomorrow!!
Yay for the pound!

I don't feel that bad other than stuffy, so off to work I go today,

Good morning-

I've been spending a lot of time on our pool deck or have had boys in and out. (they hog up the computer)
They were really cute last night though, they've been having "Heroscape" marathons (its a board game that you build your "world" so every game is different) Anyway, they are nicely letting little brothers and some of their friends join in. One of DS19's friends showed up last night with his 5th grade little brother and one of his friends and they left pieces for DS15 so he could set up his characters after he got home from water polo last night. (they'll start their game today or tomorrow)

MK, my mom has IBS too. The meds usually help, but she eats horribly, so I always assumed it was that. I hope the meds work for you.

Jenn, YEAH! 4lbs is a lot!

Cindy, hope today is a better day! Vent away here, that's what we're here for!

Becky, hope the prednisone at least helps! Hang in there!

MK-Where in Florida are you going? congrats on the loss!

Cindy-as Kelly says, vent away here!

Becky-how goes the painting?

Debbie-safe travels!

Kelly-The game sounds fun!

I was up a pound this morning, but that's okay. I ate a few things I shouldn't have last night and it was late.

What am I doing? Well, three weeks ago I stopped eating meat. No particular reason why, it just didn't appeal to me anymore. Then I stopped eating gluten. Boy what a difference that made! But, I was still feeling icky after eating some things. I recently came across a blog that advocates grain free and I've been doing that for the past week. She has some fantastic recipes that I'm dying to try out. If only my local health food store would get coconut flour in! lol!

What I am eating is fish, eggs, cheese, all vegetables except corn and beans, fruit. I have a box of gf waffles that I'm finishing up, but when those are gone I won't be getting more.

Meeting Kelly today at 1. I am taking the ferry over and she will meet me. My hubby and cousins will meet up with us at some point.

I have run and hiked every day but the day we got here. Eating a lot so expect I will be gaining a pound or two. Hoping my activity counteracts it. It is vacation and I eat what I want.

Had a nice time with Kelly. She is tall compared to me. Coronado is wonderful. We had a great day there. I have a photo to upload if I can do it on my phone.

Home today. 5 am here and wide awake. DH would kill me if I go out to run. I have put a lot of miles on. Hope they counteract my vacation eating and drinking. Even 1-2 drinks a day is a lot for me.

Cindy, hope you are feeling better.

MK, travel safe and have fun.

Becky, did you have your jewelery party yet??

Jenn, what is VBS?? If your husband doesn't eat gluten it should be a bit easier for you. I wish I could find a good bread. Some of my gluten free friends make their own.

Kaye, check in please!!! I miss your posts.

Kelly, thanks for showing me Coronado and the drink.

What a wonderful day we had. Stayed on the island till around 8:30. Came back to sit by the fire pit again.

DH and I really like coming out here and we will do it again.

Morning!

Had a hard time falling asleep last night and now I am having a hard time getting moving this morning.

In other news, I lost the pound I gained plus one more, for a total of 5 pounds gone!!!!

Debbie-VBS is Vacation Bible School. It's only a week long. DH eats other things (corn, soy, ect) and I have gone grain free. I have a grain free bread recipe to try (two, actually), but I've really gotten away from eating it. DH like Udi's. Glad you had a nice time with Kelly!

Off to make breakfast and go to church. Will pop in later!

I have to get back eating healthy. I wasn't horrible but I had drinks and a few desserts.

Waiting at airport. Plane leaves in around 90 minutes.
Get home around 9. Well not home. That will be closer to 10p.

Working 8 tomorrow. Put my 12 on Friday and added hours to Wednesday so getting 28 in which is my norm many weeks.

Kelly is exactly as she is on here.

By the way Kelly we had dinner at 6:30p and loved Leroy's.

I saw a 15ish young boy out on Orange St. With a few girls and I thought he looked like your youngest. The girls were singing along to music coming out of a truck waiting in traffic.

It is going to be a long day here. Hope I adjust back to east coast time. Not sure I ever was on West Coast time. I kept waking at 2am and was out running around 6-6:20am.

As for our bridal drama... Becca lost a bridesmaid because she has to go back to Italy. Her husband is stationed there. She asked Sarah my youngest's GF and she was overjoyed. I am now paying for 2 bridesmaid dresses and alteration.

Then there is my mom who had a blocked coronary artery and a stent placed Thursday. She isn't feeling 100% and is going to China on around 5 days. She says she is fine just tired and dizzy at times. I want her to see the doctor before she goes. Hers went away and I don't have faith in him. She has had issues for a while and he told her it was reflux or told her to see the pulmonologist. I told her to change to the doctor covering as she likes him.

Just a quick it was so much fun getting together with Debbie yesterday! And, yes I'm "tall" almost 5'3". I knew you would love Leroy's it's one of our favorite places to eat & everything is yummy!
(it wasn't my DS15 on orange, although he's always surrounded by girls. He was at the pool until 6:30 & asleep before 7)

2nd coat on everything except the hallway which I will do tomorrow and touch up where we hit the ceiling with the main color. Then Tuesday going to steam clean the carpets, THEN clean. Ugh!!!! Jewelry party is 2 weeks from today and John leaves the 26th for Canada. Celtic run the 27th then cooking and cleaning plus going to get mom and do her hair for the party. I'm so excited for my party! I guess u guys couldn't tell!

Sooooo cool that Debbie and Kelly got to me IRL. Been thinking of that all day when I was painting after seeing the pic on fb. I her Kelly is really tall.,. Like 5'3" (that's what I am. Lol). I'm the shortest one of all 58 of my cousins other than my cousin Deb.

I really messed a nerve in my hip up. I think it's from standing on the ladder barefoot. Almost done tho! It looks so pretty. Can't wait to be able to put things back. Can't wait to see it with my valences, I'm going to use my old ones cuz they're relatively new and I can't find anything new that I like and they should go with the paint.

Gotta run, work at 630 tomorrow,

So glad Debbie and Kelly got to meet!
One day we ALL will meet each other!

It's Monday, UGH, and back to work - it was a fun weekend although yesterday - I was so tired and didn't get much done - I didn't drink a drop of alcohol Saturday night but felt hung over! I even took an hour nap!

Short week for me.....off Wed afternoon, then off Friday - Tuesday......and Montreal Saturday - Monday!

Debbie, normally, that's exactly where DS15 would be wandering around on Orange with his friends. He had enough energy to go out and about Sunday night for concert in the park even after a long day at the pool.
I hope everything goes okay for your mom!

Cindy, sounds like you are still staying busy! Montreal will be loads of fun.

Becky, WOW, I'm tired just reading everything you have going. Don't hurt yourself and you know, we want pics of your re-decoration when you're done. It sounds really pretty.

Jenn, YEAH! 5 lbs is great!

MK, safe travels, hope you have good weather.

Kaye,

I'm procrastinating, I need to get at least a few things done while DS19 is at work. He keeps bringing people home with him and its starting to show in my house. (I'm okay with it, I sleep better knowing he's home and they all stay late, so I would much rather they hang out here)
