I only buy almond meal, and when it's on sale for $0.99 for 100g at the grocery stores here. Still not cheap, but the best price I can find in BC.

Avy which store??

We had those ...glad they moved on to you!

Did 2 1/2 hrs on tractor mowing (9 ft bar, so more than a lawn tractor) bouncing over gopher mounds.....

Then DH wanted a motorcycle ride because baler broke and can't get parts on Sunday. So 1 1/2 hrs bike ride. I took the big one for starters.......It definitely will take some getting used to.

Save On Foods, Fairway Market and Thrifty's all have raw bulk almonds on sale occasionally, and it's all the varieties, whole, sliced, slivered or meal. I'm sure other grocery stores do it as well, but those are the flyers I see it in. I have about a pound of almond meal at the moment, so I'm good for a long time, because I don't use it often.

It's called for in so many recipes, so I finally broke down and bought some. It's probably not as fine as almond flour, you could grind it I guess, but I don't. Seems to work just fine. I don't bake too many things though, so it lasts forever. I actually use flax, coconut flour and oat fiber more often. I made a chocolate cake earlier with flax just for me!

Marking my Spot!

Deb~Nice BD gift from LB! But...SS for your unexpected TOM BD gift!

Karen~That's a Lot of Mowing! Glad U got some time out to play w/ur Big Bike!

CJ~Bet the boating was fun! Hope ur boat treats u well this year w/o Repairs! Yeah...I try to paddle when the wind is low & in a favorable direction...but, sometimes it just picks up & changes!

Avy~Glad ur don't have to worry about the diabetes! Bet that Turkey cooking all night smelled Good! Soup & such sounds Good!

Scale down & then some today! Had another day off from Yoga. Just not in the mood & need a break. Did some Hazel'n & we discovered a Huge Carpender Ant infestation in our Mud Room. DH removed some wood trim & has been dealing w/the ants Raining out of the wood work (after spraying the area)! There are Hundreds of them!
Thinking of going for an early evening paddle on the lake. But...the wind has picked up a bit?! Hmm....

Happy Canada Day!

CJ~ 2 ur DH! Nice weather!

Laura~Sorry about the Skeery Awakening! That would have had me Jumping out of my Bed & my Skin!

Deb~I was awake around that time too! I call if Freight Train Brain when I'm awake w/thoughts running around in my Head!
For the almond crust...use recipe like a Graham cracker crust for the cheese cake.

Sooo, looks like I have lost 8# since May 15th. Hoping to hit -10# by July 15th!
Hopefully, July 4th & this wknd won't de-rail me much? We'll see....
Well, Ants are still barely crawling around here. Looks like @ least a Thousand of them have come out along w/mounds of saw dust from their nest! What a Mess!
Off to Yoga in a bit. Taking some time off last week helped me get re-centered & ready to get back in the Saddle.
Looks like isolated thunder showers here today. It's 60 rt now & supposed to get to a high of 88.

Happy Canada Day and soon off to join in the celebrations we are going to have a perfect day for it. I will be back tomorrow and plan on 4 straight weeks of induction up till my vacation We leave on the 31 July for Nova Scotia and I cant wait. I haven't been eating perfect this week and I am feeling it in more ways then one. But everyone has moved away now so parties are over and no more trips out of town till vacation so its the perfect time for me to jump back in. The hardest part is going to be walking without a group but I will do it. I am way behind and Deb did I miss your birthday??? If so and the earring sound beautiful!!! Cheryl our temp match his birthday hope things have been well with you. The shoreline is looking great!! Enjoy it. Laura and Misty glad you are here Pat and Avy I use almond flour a lot and like it. Hope your both doing well. Karen working the farm sure sounds like a lot of work but a lot of fun as well. Well I am off to enjoy the celebration that start in a 1/2 hour and they are right across the street from me. Even the fireworks at 11 tonight are put off on the dike with is beside our house but the whole community watch's them from across the street in the school yard. Now if the sketer will just stay away that would be great but I will be sprayed from head to toe, no sketer will ruin my Canada Day

No Deb ...... my DS1 ( Shelby's Dad ) got a new job close to our house - he lives over an hour from job now - He is going to stay with us 3-4 days a week while he works and go home on his days off - getting their house ready to sell. They will be moving closer !!

Thought I had mentioned that here,.....maybe just on my journal ??? Not sure.....

Cheryl - Happy Birthday to your DH !
Deb- maybe this will be the last visit you ever have from 'Aunt Flo' :-0
Pat - ants are so hard to get rid of !
Grandma Jo - 1 month till vacation ! I would be so excited You can do it on induction. That's pretty much what I'm doing to get those extra lbs off so my stats are correct. I don't want to have to change it Have fun at your celebration today

Today is my cooking day . Start back to work tomorrow. Made wings and jalapeno poppers last night. Going to make LC pork chops/mushrooms with sauce and also beef tips ( and mashed potatoes for DH and DS1)

Happy Canada Day !! Hope you all have a great day

You guys ready to chuckle??????

When I turn corners mowing, I always grab the right tractor fender to brace, turn steering wheel, and hit the right brake........so this morning, the only sore part of me is in the right "chest" area. Don't think about too many muscles there, but trust me.....there must be

Sad, but true......

Happy Canada Day! We are going to head down to the waterfront at 11 for the festivities... it's 73 here at the moment, going up to 85 ish, and "feels like 91" the weather network says. Finally got summer lol.

Going to pull out the sunscreen and hope to stay safe.

Got up early this morning and got right to the gym before work, even packed a little cooler with water. Starting off right for July.

Deb ss I missed it yesterday, hope you had fun and wow what great present L/B got you.

Cheryl it's so hot and humid here with showers, which make it ever worse. Had AC running for a week straight so far. Are you at the LH? Did you get your deck finished? to your DH, are you going out.

Karen wow double ouch, I seen those kind of trackors, there big. We went riding yesterday too, But I took my old bike.

got to but my chops in oven, be back to finish catching up

Wow Karen that sounds like it hurts. oops that slipped out.

Misty we are enjoying some cooler weather. A friend at the lake brought his tractor over and moved all the logs and debris into a like for us and we started burning. I can see the shoreline! It looks nice. Still some logs/ trees floating just off shore. Probably wont be able to get to them til they draw the lake down in late Aug. the front deck at home has 1 coat of stain. Looks nice.

Avy it sounds like a nice day there.

Laura thanks for BDay wishes. Come cook for me?

Pat. I hate carpenter ants. I guess they aren't as hard to get rid of as termites but still. We fought them at our old house every year in his shed.
on the weight loss

Jo sounds like you have been enjoying company. and a good celebration front and center. Sounds a little cool there. Yes I am enjoying seeing the shoreline again. It's been a few years. We just made a path thru it last year.

I have one LD walk down and some Hazels. Taking DH out for dinner.

Avy sounds like a fun tonight, Canada Day must be like our 4th of July. Have fun.

Pat hope you get rid of those Ants, I know they can cause damage. Wtg on getting thw weight off, you doing so good. Right now I bouncing around again, but have lost inches, which is great this time of year.

Laura yikes, Someone knocking on my window would scare me too. Hope you got back to sleep. That'll be so nice when DS1 moves closer, you'll be able to Shelby all the time.
