Yeah Karen I have a lot of work stuff in my SUV too. Work tools and anything I need to take in the different stores I work. I always carry a cooler. All my paperwork for the stores. Sometimes LD crate. My portable office too. DH has a company work van since he is a mechanic.

Another very hot and humid day, can't wait for the humity to break. One more day of work and then finally off until Monday. Got a busy weekend with GS coming camping. Scale it up a bit, but I think is just all the water retention from the humidity cause I sure have been eating much, way to hot. Had chief salad tonight. I feel like a blimp

Cheryl wow hop Mom is better after getting the meds. How far away is she from your house?

Sorry about your mom.

Took mine to Dr today, and admitted to hospital. Wait and see what tomorrow brings........

What are we going to do with our Moms? I hope your Mom is going to be OK.

So I can blame the humidity ? All right !!! It was 93% this morning after our rain yesterday. Dropped during the day. But it was thick out there.

It is blessed hot and muggy here today......miserable by this afternoon. Our cattle take the heat better than most, so hopefully no livestock issues.

Mom got told she stays in hospital until Friday. Maybe they can check her out for all the things she should have gone to dr for, and refused
She felt miserable enough she has agreed, so good timing. Sister is back next week, so I think we need to discuss WHEN the folks may need to consider assisted living, not refuse to acknowledge that the day may come.

Hope your Mom is doing well. We may end up being a support group for this, too. Cause it does affect our eating/excercise

Ok! Did my Nutritional Fundamentals exam today. Final course mark 94%! 1 course down, 5 to go lol.

I have lost all the vacation weight, but still have about 5 lbs to go to be back where I want to be as my "normal". Staying low carb 100%, but eating the fruits and veggies from the farmer's market. Still under 40 carbs a day, usually closer to 20.

4 more days off, then back to work next Monday, boo. I like being unemployed! Too bad they won't pay me for that.

Back from the farmer's market... resisted buying the berries and peaches, bought green beans, white radishes, and snap peas. Also have regular beets and patty pans to eat our way through this week.

I have also discovered a like for cold coffee, which is a lot for me lol. I bought a coffee press, and with the left overs I've been freezing ice cubes and saving them for "ice lattes" with almond milk, stevia and a little heavy cream sometimes. Nice cold drink, and I don't waste my organic local coffee now!

Good luck with induction, Deb! I lasted 3 days before I went back to regular low carb of 15-30 net carbs a day. :P Just too tempting in the summer time with all the fresh fruit and veggies.

Yeah we might need to start a thread dealing with aging parents and diet. I bet there are a few others out there.

Mom saga continues. She is having a rough month. She just called and said she went thru her gate and was attacked by a swarm of wasps. she has several stings and she lost her glasses somewhere in the yard.

DD20 named County Fair Queen last night. My girls clean up nice, they just don't clean up often.

Mom still in hospital.. No food for 3 days....only IVs. Not sure how I like that, but she can't keep any food down. Hopefully gets better soon. Not sure I want to have the assisted living conversation with them, but about there. Sure glad I took 4th of July to take them down to see her sister (90).

Karen on DD20. on cleaning up!! It makes you feel good about the kids and also what you did for your Mom. I hope I don't have to have the assisted living or driving talk with Mom. She is so independent.

Her stings look good. She had a lot more than she told me. hornets. I took over wasp spray and her yard man was there. He took the spray and killed them and destroyed their nest. Unfortunately they mowed in the back before Mom realized and ran over her glasses. She has a spare pair but they aren't as strong. Her spider bite is still red, swollen and hot to the touch. She sees her Dr to check it again tomorrow.

I'm not really following a plan right now. I need to get my head in the game.

Deb you packing?

Heading to the lake for the weekend.

I've been reading about The Perfect Health Diet. Can't decide on it. I think it is more on health than losing weight. I need to get the weight off. Maybe use it if/when I get this off
