Hi everyone!!

I'm still here, but the Internet situation is bad. They still haven't hooked me up, and I'm having to go to Starbucks to connect. I have Gavin full time with no help, and he's got limited tolerance for momma being on the Internet at Starbucks, so...you see my dilemma. Sorry!! I'm still here, I'm still LC, and I'm JUDDDing early. Yay for the chocolate protein shakes!!

Danielle, I'm so sorry for your loss. Was it unexpected?

Tami, I'm so glad you found the dog! What a happy ending! No, you didn't say you'd caught her. Tell the story!!

The good news is that the vampires are just cooking right along. I can't believe how well the writing is going, with all the frustrations in the rest of life.

I'll check in as I can. you all!!

Lynne

Night out with Hubby? That is great.

Ours was good. We have our next (and last) set of visitors at the house now. July has been the month of people visiting and staying with us!

Hi girls! I swear I've had this thread open for hours trying to reply.

Lynne, so glad to see you pop in! Hope the internet situation gets worked out soon! A lot of the McDonalds here have free wifi and play areas. I know some people don't like to use their play areas, but when mine were little I didn't know any better and would drop DS1 off at kindergarten & take DS2 to McD's to play while I did homework or studied. I could still keep an eye on him and he was happy and occupied

Liz, sounds like a lovely weekend! Looking forward to celebrating 40 pounds lost with you!

Monica, enjoy the company. It's funny we don't get very many visitors who stay over... wonder if it's me or the dogs? lol

I'm still bouncing around. Was 188 (again) this morning. Finished wk6/day1 this morning. It's a bit muggy here again and garbage day so everyone's stinky garbage kept assaulting my nostrils from the curb. Blech. lol

Weekend was good Hubby worked on a side job both days, so it was a lot like a weekday around here. The kids and I did our 'project Sunday' which basically consisted of catching up on all of the household tasks I've been putting off. Always nice to have their help. Dogs all got baths & pedicures, lawn work got done... you know, all that fun stuff! Pretty darned exciting. We used to be go go go nonstop... now I'm like stop stop stop... lol

It's Tuesday ladies! Took DS14 clothes shopping last night. He has lost 35 pounds total. He definitely bought outside his comfort zone. He bought cargo style shorts and button casual shirts. He never wears stuff like that. Normally he wears gym shorts and T's! So happy for him!

It's a crazy week for us. We have the 2 girls staying with us (10 and 8 years old) they fight constantly. I thought my 2 argued, MAN was I wrong. DD11 has volleyball camp M/T/W for 3 hours and each night all the girls have VBS! Man, I feel like I am totally a TAXI! Summer is dying down. 3 weeks from tomorrow School starts!

I'm sooo happy for your DS, Monica! I bet he feels so good! Ah, extra little girls... I feel your pain! They have a whole decibel level or perhaps it's a tone of voice that I just can't get used to. It's like a squeaky instrument or nails on chalkboard. lol Gotta love them and all of their drama, though. lol

Monica- That is wonderful to hear about your son! losing weight and being able to wear clothes you want to is always a great feeling. Tell him we are all cheering him on.

Tami & Monica - Man do I know the feeling of girls fighting and the drama. Mine are 4 and 6 and they already drive me nuts some days with the arguing.

My sister and I were awful. Having two boys I missed a lot of this until my niece was old enough to start having friends stay over & tag along to family events. She was a little tom boy fitting right in with the boys prior to that, but omg... bring in a couple of extra girls and wow. lol It takes very special parents to raise little girls Boys are just naturally less verbal & more physical... don't know if the physical bit is a lot easier to take, but it's not quite as loud. lol

Now that is a FACT! I guess I never really heard it much from DD11 since she only argues with a BOY!

Liz - I feel your pain girl! I guess I never realized having a boy / a girl would make a difference. My sister and I were much like Tami described. We would fight all the time. My sister was a MESS, still is really, but we are closer now.

Liz - any more on the doggie?? Has she been adopted? or staying where she is?

It's Wednesday! I am missing Lynne, Danielle, Gina and our new gals! Come back and post!

C25K Wk6/D2 done Whew... I forgot to get on the scale this morning, though. My morning routine was all screwy for some reason. I'm surprised I managed to brush my teeth & throw my hair in a pony tail. lol

No real new doggie news. I really need to get you guys pictures. She's the cutest thing. I'm 99% sure she's staying where she is. Her 'foster' daddy really loves her and she is doing amazingly well with them. They took her camping with their 2 labs & chihuahua mix over the weekend and they were able to let her off lead for walks on the beach and she would go right up to people for petting... a week after we couldn't touch her to catch her! It's all just so amazing to me. I had heard that if you lose a dog they very quickly revert to a more wild state and can be tough for people to catch, but I had no clue her turn around back into loving household pet would be so quick!

Tami- Glad she is doing so well and her foster family is loving her!!

I am leaving for a long weekend at the beach tomorrow. I am 1 lb away from 40lbs total loss. TO BE GOOD OR NOT TO BE GOOD that is the question?? I was good on my last camping trip I should really try and do the same this time too.

Checking in!

I have not weighed in a while, but I'm scheduled to this weekend. It was TOM this past week and I did have several days where I could feel the water retention, so I didn't bother sneaking a weigh-in. I also haven't counted carbs since the weekend, but I'm back to doing it TODAY...its just been very busy here. I am doing a lot of catch up at work and the house because I am taking my 16 year old daughter on a vacation this Sunday (this is her sweet 16 b-day gift) Just her and I - laying by the pool, beach and shopping! I will take my tablet with me, but not sure if I will be doing much posting this week and next. When I get back it will be August already!!!! Goodness!

Liz - I am facing the same dilema while I am on vacation next week. Right now I feel like I should have no problems....I haven't been on vacation while being back to low-carbing, so I don't know what I will face. I've packed some low carb protein bars that I will keep in my purse. Wish me luck!

And YAY for your almost 40# total loss!!!!

Hey guys Trying to get back into the swing of things..
contemplating low carbing again..haven't completely convinced myself of it....yet. Just really wanting to feel better.

Lynne~ no, it wasn't a suprise with my dad..he'd been sick for awhile.. the last emergency run to the hospital is where he went downhill quickly..they had him in hospice for a couple weeks and then he asked to go home. So he spent alittle more than 2 weeks at home with a very busy revolving door of people/family in & out. My 2 oldest were there for over 2 weeks. Never did convince DD17 to go..almost at one point.

I will try and catch up this weekend here...there is alot to read. Trying to just get myself going with my daily routines again and get DD17 ready for school in a couple weeks. Like I said, I'm just tired of feeling poorly and it's time to do something.

Guess what???? I DID IT!!! Ran (jogged/waddled/whatever!) for TWENTY minutes straight this morning! WooHoo! Simply Amazing!!!

Monica, we still have another week. We leave on the 4th Scale still isn't budging, and I'm so close to throwing in the towel until after the trip, but I'll hang on at least another week

Danielle, restarting low carb really did help me feel better... much better energy and less mood swings. I've been dragging the last couple of days, but we were out way too late Wed night & just need to catch up on sleep I think.

It's Friday! Yay! We also have cooler weather coming up. That's always a good thing in the middle of summer

Good morning! Here is my 2 week challenge update

Restarted Induction 5/31/13
5/31/13: 223 lbs. (5'7")
6/17/13: 215 lbs
6/29/13: 213 lbs
7/12/13: 209 lbs
7/27/13: 207 lbs

I've been sticking to induction, with the exception that I have incorporated some Quest Bars a few times a week. In addition, I will snack on an Atkins Indulge bar in the evening before bed. I am bringing these along with me on my trip to FL with my daughter tomorrow to help keep me on track.

I went out to dinner with my closest friend last night. We've been friends since the 7th grade (we are 41 now) and she is moving away - to another state! So this was our chance to catch up and kind of say goodbye I had a NY strip steak, asparagus and one glass of red wine...I felt glad that I had a glass and kept it at that. I will certainly miss my friend!
