I hate days like the last couple days where you just gain a ton of water weight. I'm down a few oz of water from yesterday but I'm still up too much for my liking. I swear I'm not going to go off plan for as long as I did. I can't do this to myself again. Getting back on track and losing weight seems harder this time.

I want to lose 5 lbs this week... I find the more water I drink, the more tends to get flushed out.

Also, my non scale goals this week are:

No food after 7pm. Coffee, water, diet soda, and maybe some hwc will be allowed.

Take as many body combat classes as possible.

I'm Layne btw, and brand new to this forum. Just feeling like I could use some more support to hit my goals.

I need to get myself back the gym. I'm in a wedding at the end of September, and I'd like to have to have my bridesmaid dress (tight right now) taken in! I have 14 weeks, and I think focusing one week at a time is great. So, I'll set a goal to get to the gym at least twice this week (I didn't make it at all last week!)

I'm gonna try to keep my carbs lower too, I tend to splurge too much on fried chicken and such...the breading and whatnot catches up with me.

Welcome Layne. Great to have you here. There are usually more people in this thread but we've recently had to move what section of the forums it's in and not a lot of people just browse this section. I'm sure some more people will stumble in.

I post these every week, but it's also good to find a support group that has just one main thread that keeps going.

Hi, Layne, Vicki and Michelle!

Goal for this week: 151. Currently 152.6.

Eating goal: limit to 3 oz protein food per meal. Too much protein doesn't work for me. And no cheese! I keep saying that, and I keep eating it anyway. I honestly had no idea I was this addicted to cheese!

I made it to the gym once already! So, I'm half way to that goal. Also, my scale was down exactly a pound this morning....come on off you other 4....

Saw 238.4 yesterday!

Had a horrible day and didn't get my water or much coffee in so I'm retaining up to 240.8, but that's ok! I'm sucking down water and coffee right now.

Oh and added joy, my fridge went out last night so I lost a lot of food. Idk when I'll be able to get a new one so I don't know what we are going to do.

Michelle, what mixed emotions! Congrats on the 230's, and so sorry about your fridge!

I've started tracking and measuring my food. I really thought with low-carb I wouldn't have to do that. I've tried everything to get away from it - eliminating dairy, nuts, sweeteners; intermittent fasting; JUDDD. But I'm up about 10 lb in a year, so clearly none of that has worked for me. Hopefully tracking and keeping my protein and carbs down will work like it did last summer.

Welcome, Natasha! Great job Layne, Manny, Vicki! You're giving me hope.

Vicki, sorry to hear about your gain! At least you know what's causing it and that it's temporary. Don't let it derail you. What paleo/primal book do you recommend or follow?

You guys did great this week!

I saw 238.5 so I'm happy. This morning I'm sitting at 242 but that's ok. My fridge went out Thursday and I haven't been able to get a new one so I'm kind of living off salty things like pork rinds and peanuts, plus TOM is on it's way. I did finally find a fridge this morning so hopefully this will be a great week, minus TOM -_-.

Dang! I gave myself a half-day to eat without tracking. I didn't feel like I binged, but I knew I overate. (They feel different to me). Had no idea I was doing that level of damage! I swear the rules change after age 40. I can't get away with much anymore. Looking forward to a new week! And I'm doing well, on track today.
