Day 4 and still sugar-free, but a bit nauseous/anxious. How's everyone doing?

Day 2 and I have a headache. I'm trying to cut back on caffeine too. That's where the headache is likely coming from not the sugar.

The sugar withdrawals usually don't hit me until day 3-4.

I'm hanging in there... good today and pretty good yesterday.

No blatent sugar - but a few "hidden" ones. I have to come off a pretty big sugar binge. Just the act of not eating SUGAR in the obvious forms are making me encouraged.

I'm right there with you Karen...sugar has been such a weakness for so long, that just not having the obvious one is a victory for me!!

Not so brave today. The headache was pretty bad so I caved and had a diet coke this AM - it helped. I'll still try to cut back but it may have to be slower than I'd like that's all.

Before I was drinking soda's several times a day plus iced tea and a 5 hour energy on top of that. NO water = NOT good. I think it was making my sugar addiction worse.

I can't even imagine trying to detox sugar and caffeine at the same time! I'm afraid I'd either have to be sedated, or put in a straightjacket!

Day 6 for me today and feeling pretty good--bypassed several temptations at the grocery store and using the five days I've already endured as another reason not to cave.

Today I believe I can make 30 days without sugar.

Halfway through day 7, and shocked that I've made it an entire week! So far, so good though! I have a headache today and a little more tired than usual for a Friday afternoon, but I'll survive! The best part is that I've lost a little weight in the process!

Made it through a full week with no sugar!! Some days were harder than others and I had the same headache/fatigue symptoms yesterday that Pam described (must be something about Day 7) but it's getting easier to resist sugary temptations.

Stay strong this weekend everyone!

Today is day 7 and if I make it through today it will be the longest I've made it since Jan. I woke up this morning HUNGRY and was tempted yet again. What is it about lazy Sunday's that make me want sugar?

I forced myself to cook some scrambled eggs and I sliced up some tomato's. I still had the urge so I had some pork rinds and bottle of water. I feel better now.

I've lost weight too.

So far so good. Had a family reunion yesterday. So glad they served nuts with the cake & candy. I was famished - so that helped. Had water to drink not punch.
Then we went to a buffet restaurant. Stuck pretty much w/ salad and protein. I did have fresh pineapple, tho.
All & All pretty good.

Have a great day!

Pam: It sounds like you resisted temptation in some challenging situations. Way to go!

I'm happy to report that I am currently on Day 10 with no cheats. It's getting a bit easier every day but I am well acquainted with the sugar demon so I know I can't count on that.

I'm so happy to be doing this challenge, even though it hasn't shown up on the scale yet.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Today is day 8 and I'm struggling. I'm eating peanuts because its better than sugar. I need to get off sugar before I worry about calories.

The peanuts helped. I'm full now and have no interest in sugar.

I'm a bit edgy though so I'll have to be careful today.

I feel your pain....I feel like every day I'm walking through landmines just waiting to trip me up! But I am determined to beat this sugar demon this time around!!

My weight has apparently decided to stick...I guess that's better than a gain though, so I'm not going to focus on it! Still no sugar...starting day 12!
