I started taking L-Carnitine last week twice a day for the health benefits and energy boost (it works, by the way) but not sure, maybe it's having an adverse affect along with the work outs on water retention, or worse. I've been reading about it and it's possible it can make those with hypothyroid problems gain. That being said, I've never been diagnosed with anything, and was even tested 6 months ago for everything under the sun and everything was normal.

So, I'll keep doing what I'm doing, and dump the supplement if the weight doesn't stop moving up in another week, and see if that helps. That would suck though, because I do notice a real difference after I take it.

I've heard if you're LC and take L Carnitine you Also need to take Omega 3 Fatty Acids. I don't remember the ratio.

Thanks. I have been taking them, but not at the same time. Today I am pairing my omega 3s with the l-carnitine actually. We'll see if that changes anything.

I'm with you on the weight thing. 2 years and only minimal loss. We have to get it together ! I don't think 1 anniversary meal will mess you up if you can stay strong for the rest of the time.

Avy I always gained when I ate out. I tried not to let it bother me. Didnt always succeed but I tried. I got discouraged and gave up a month ago because I started gaining. Now I'm back on track.

No I hope you have a relaxing day. I slept off on on. Electricity went off after I went to bed. Made it hot. I realized I woke up earlier because my white noise machine wasn't on after that and the boomers woke me. Got to bed and DH got a call to go work. So not much sleep. I plan on a lazy day. I didn't hear about about the Texas firemen. I'll have to check that out. So much sadness

Happy LCversary Avy!!! Don't sweat the lil gain...it WILL come off and you r doing everything right. I gain eating out too. I think cuz we dont know what they r puttin in the food. I guarantee there is way more salt.

Karen~ Happy Anniversary to you and DH!!!! Have a delicious steak or seafood meal and for dessert, well lets just say you dont need the sweet stuff ...IF u know what I mean Seriously, ENJOY!

34 years is definitely something to celebrate!!! Ours is only gonna be 25 years this year, but Lord, some days it seems like 50!

Back from the dance studio. Pics are so darn cute...I can't wait to get them back

Having some cc muffins for a snack and gonna go out and catch a few rays. It is in the 90s again, but expecting a bit of a cool-off next week. DH is landscaping around the pool, but I told him, that doesnt have to keep US from getting in LOL

Sometimes I think that is what makes weight loss harder..........really don't worry too much about keeping in shape for the romance......There isn't any

If you notice, lots of women lose weight right before or after a divorce (or maybe I am being cynical)

Romance? I vaguely remember that . yeah you put yourself back on the market you can do the deprivation thing. Then you go back to the normal real you. I just want to feel good about myself when I look in the mirror. And right now my tummy just feels too big. I don't like that. So no lofty goals. I'm approaching 60. Just don't want to jiggle so much.

Migraine Gone? Bet Em looks So cute dancing like a Humming Bird! Have any pix to show us?

CJ~Got weather warning from looking up Grove/Grand LK OK. last night. It was on one of the pages.
Oh, Extra Bucks are from CVS stores when u use their Extra Card card. U get a key card & U scan every time U shop there. U get coupons & extra bucks depending on what/how much U buy there. I also have a bag tag from them & it gets scanned too...U get an extra buck every so often for bringing ur own bag w/the bag tag attached to it. Recently, I got 16.00 free bucks. And...31.00 from my Grocery store for using their key card.

Karen~I also use Italian dressing to marinate meats. I especially use it when I marinate my fajitas & chicken along w/other seasonings. Put in a zip bag & mix/shake.
Have a Good non-gluten carb mo. of June! Hope this June is better for U than last June! Here's to a new Beginning!

Avy~Hear ya about the fluctuating wt! That's me too! Up...down...Up down! GRRR! Scale is always up when I dine out too.

GJo~Have fun w/ur Friends. Good luck on re-induction! No weigh in until 6-15! Good 4 U! Don't think I could wait that long!

Other -.5# this am. So far...-4.4 since I got back from Maui. I'll Take it! Did the Yoga thang this AM & then had a pedicure. Worked in the yard a bit & that was it.
Had L/O's for dinner & now just chilling. Maybe a movie or just some reading tonight.

Our place on the lake.

Lots of yoga going on.
My snack was cheese " crackers ".
Lisa glad you got to enjoy the pool.
Avy on BF.
Pat you smarty looking that up did you see my place north and across the lake from Grove I hear it is still there.

We don't have CVS here but I heard they were looking. We have Walgreens. They bought a company that owns most of our small local owned/ run pharmacies and then shut them down. So they aren't well liked right now.

I do especially at IHOP. same thing but cheaper. Eggs bacon hash browns and toast. Sometimes they give extra eggs or bacon if I have them hold the browns and toast.

We senior out hotels, food, clothes, anything we can.

I don't know what's with the attachment. Oh well.

Hope everybody is having a nice morning. It's cool and sunny. I'm working outside today if its not too soggy. LD just came in and he is soaked so I may have to rethink that. We will see.

morning all ! Just started raining here.. looks like it's headed right for us.
my back went out BAD yesterday...... I was walking bent to the left and couldn't straighten up ! I hate it when it does that !! I walked up and down the road and took motrin. Nothing

Then I went to bed last night and turned onto my side and it just... shifted.....I felt it . Wow, it's just a little sore this am ! Better ! Very weird, but I'm grateful

Need to figure out what to cook today. Nothing sounds good ~~

Hallelujah! The weight gaining every day the last week finally is over and as of this morning I'm back to .2 less than last Monday's weight. 2.2lb drop over night. About time! Yay for perseverance.

Yoga class in a couple hours, so I should probably get motivated here to make breakfast and get organized. Happy Monday Eve every everyone!
