We are Ok. The last tornado warning just expired. My nieces husband is in Ok City and she can't reach him. That has us worried. He is a truck driver.

Jo. You are going thru so much lately. I wish I could give you a real hug and a shoulder to lean on.

LH is near Grove Ok. In the path of a new tornado. They have been everywhere tonight. I'll stay up and see if the storm holds together or peters out. Supposed to be there around 11:30. This cell has 2 tornadoes. I thought they were done for the night. I don't know why I'm staying up. Can't do anything about it.

Niece's husband is OK.

Still to noisy here to sleep.

Finally this week is over! Went to the gym after work, then out shopping. Bought a bagel pan tonight to make these flax and coconut flour bagel recipe I found, some supplements, and a paid of new pants and a shirt. Also ended up buying my boyfriend a new fancy mouse. Basically the next generation of my gaming mouse lol.

Gotta get organized for tomorrow, but no real plans, just yoga in the morning, and maybe so domestic stuff for the afternoon.

Cheryl hope you get some sleep and stay away from those storms. Thanks for all your kind words. It was a very sad day in our community for sure. I am planning a nice day a long walk with my walking group this morning then heading over to Moosonee to friends for the rest of the day but I will be back to chat tomorrow. Its the kind of day I need today. I heard about the 4 fireman in Texas on the new last night right after the news about the crash . 8 first responders in 2 countries. That's a lot of mothers, fathers, children , coworkers that need our prays right now. As well as all the storm victims. Everyone hug their loved ones a little closer today and remind them how much they are loved. I plan on having an afternoon of laugher with family and friends. Tomorrow I will start induction and I will weigh in although I know its up for sure. Then I have decided that I will not weigh again until June 15 when I start with the trainer but I will not eat anything off plan no matter what until then. I am even thinking of not weighing tomorrow and just going with last weeks weight until the 15th. I just have to decide what mentally works best for me. I am a daily weigher so this will be hard to do but the scales sometimes get me down and so 2 weeks it is. Wish me luck and you guys have a good day. I will try and catch up tomorrow.

I think of you as we watch the radar up here. Seems like tornadoes for years missed all the metro areas. Now hit them regularly......makes me wonder what is up with that.
I always try and consider what, in Mother Nature, would explain that. Haven't got my own guess yet, but .......
Take care and keep tucked in as them things blow around you. I don't think this pattern is changing yet, so keep watching the skies, guys.

I used regular. Cooked it in it. No added salts, etc. but the steak was very very good. I have marinated them in Italian dressing before, but didn't have the time with this one. So just poured it over the top for 1/2 hr and then started cooking. Added some for moisture in the skillet, and Vwalla!!!

Well I'm declaring tornado season done!! I've had enough this year. New month. New forecast. I'm sure Ok City is ready too. Did you see the video of Mike Bettes from the weather channel when they got hit by that big wedge tornado? They showed it this morning. I can't believe they managed to keep the camera rolling as their car was flying and tumbling.

I am starting 20-40 Carbs/ day today. See if that works for me. Try a little e revise without weights. Time to get it together again.

Thanks everybody for all the support.

Keep us posted on how you do. I am going to try to make what carbs I do eat non-gluten carbs. Maybe we can both have a successful June and get the storms to slow down. We need it drier to get into the fields.

I am going to work at doing better than last year. I looked up my daily weights from last year, and I am determined to stay below that. I was down to 180 right after tax season, but have managed to creep back up again

Week One ....2012......................................2011
6-1.............187.5............................... ..... 189.0
6-2................................................. ........ 189.5
6-3 .................................................. .......189.0
6-4 .................................................. .......188.5
6-5 .................................................. .......189.0
6-6................................................. ......... 187.5
6-7
6-8................................................. ....... 188.5
6-9 .................................................. ......189.5

Week Two
6-10................................................ ......... 190.5
6-11 .................................................. ......190.5
6-12 .................................................. ......190.0
6-13
6-14 .................................................. ......189.5
6-15 .................................................. .....189.0
6-16................................................ ......... 190

Week Three
6-17................................................ ......... 188.5
6-18 .................................................. ........189.5
6-19................................................ ......... 189.0
6-20................................................ .......... 189.0
6-21 .................................................. ........189.0
6-22................................................ ......... 189.5
6-23................................................ ......... 190.0
Week Four
6-24................................................ ..........190
6-25 .................................................. ........189.0
6-26 .................................................. .........190.0
6-27 .................................................. ........189.0
6-28
6-29
6-30................................................ ......... 189.5

This was a really depressing venture. It shows me that I made no effort during June of last year, and that I haven't really made any progress in the past year!!!!! (Except scale didn't go up)
How does one berate oneself in public????!!!!

I have got to do something to motivate myself or find a change that I can live with......

And now contemplating a blatant supper, because I just remembered it is my wedding anniversary today!! And it is windy and sprinking outside, so a bike ride isn't good option.

Today day is my lowcarbaversery! 51 lbs down fro last year, yay.

So, this week I have slowly gained 2 lb, .2 a day, and 1 lb over night! WTH?? Could be many things, like all the workouts and yoga, lack of sleep, or even hormones, eating out last night (even though I stayed low carb, that's probably the extra lb there) but bleh, slowly gaining? This is the first time this has happened....ever...when low carbing, even when workingout. Guess I never made such a big effort in the workout department? I'm not going to stop what I'm doing, and I'm definitely eating right. Hopefully it goes back to normal by the end of the month!

That sounds like a easy tasty ribeye. All I have is creamy Italian but dressing is cheap. I'm going to try it.

The farmers here finally got in the fields. All those freezes in May really messed them up. Now a lot of fields are flooding. I don't know if that messes up the crops or not.

I'm with you on the weight thing. 2 years and only minimal loss. We have to get it together ! I don't think 1 anniversary meal will mess you up if you can stay strong for the rest of the time.

Avy I always gained when I ate out. I tried not to let it bother me. Didnt always succeed but I tried. I got discouraged and gave up a month ago because I started gaining. Now I'm back on track.

No I hope you have a relaxing day. I slept off on on. Electricity went off after I went to bed. Made it hot. I realized I woke up earlier because my white noise machine wasn't on after that and the boomers woke me. Got to bed and DH got a call to go work. So not much sleep. I plan on a lazy day. I didn't hear about about the Texas firemen. I'll have to check that out. So much sadness

Thank you for the encouragement! I know it'll eventually turn around. the LB overnight doesn't bother me, it's the .2 every day this week. Fluctuating up and down I'm ok with but the steady gain, bleh!

I started taking L-Carnitine last week twice a day for the health benefits and energy boost (it works, by the way) but not sure, maybe it's having an adverse affect along with the work outs on water retention, or worse. I've been reading about it and it's possible it can make those with hypothyroid problems gain. That being said, I've never been diagnosed with anything, and was even tested 6 months ago for everything under the sun and everything was normal.

So, I'll keep doing what I'm doing, and dump the supplement if the weight doesn't stop moving up in another week, and see if that helps. That would suck though, because I do notice a real difference after I take it.
