WOE: My way mixing it low carb
Sunny and hot. I drove to the lake to get DISH a d recipe er upgraded. Listening to the hydroplane boats practice. It's not as loud as I thought it would be. The hills between us are blocking a lot of the noise.

We are still staying home. They are having an air museum show at the airport. DH want a ride in the B -17.

Pat I'm working on both. I want to be able to be exercise some. He did suggest I go to a good health food store and get quality Melatonin-l tryptophan supplement combo. I still need to do that. The other med - Cymbalta - is supposed to help pain and sleep but the first week can make you hyper- hasn't happened lol- because it is a SSNRI. It dumps a lot of N the first week. Try it for a month and if it doesn't work we will try something else. The daily pain is manageable but I want to be more active. And of course lose weight!!

I sometimes get nauseated with the Benadryl too. It usually goes away with a little snack. I'm off it right now with the other changes.
Let me know if it works to get back on track. I just can't seem to get motivated............. Hoping to get it turned around...

Leave in a few for my walk but had to check in because this is a good morning for me. After my binge my weight was way up and so I got back on track 1 June not weighting till today. All binge gain gone and down 2 lbs from my weight before the binge. I inch from before the binge gone from my waist. Its a happy day for me! Walk then brunch with my walking group. Karen I was out of control and what I had to do was forgive me and pick a day to restart , I picked one about 3 days away and gave myself permission to eat whatever till then , then I did full induction and suffered through the induction flu and headaches with in a week the carb monster went away and I was back in full control. You can do this just tell yourself you are so worth it!! Happy Saturday and Deb and Cheryl and Avy and Pat have a awsume weekend!

How's everyone? I'm busy cooking and baking today. Surprising DH with a Father's Day picnic tomorrow at a local park. Gonna try to get some more hiking in. We r supposed to get a thunderstorm in the afternoon, but I'm hoping weather holds out for us

I took Emmalee and DS Tim to 2 parks yesterday. The one is located on the Susquehanna River and there's a Native American museum containing artifacts found in the area. stuff! The grounds are beautiful! I will share pics on FB.

Early supper tonight...LC BBQ porkchops and broccoli/cauli mix...YUM!

Karen I will keep you posted if it works or not. How's the headache?

Lisa you sound busy. That will be a great present for DH

Pat was it yoga or paddle boarding? Chilly? We are 90's and humid at least we were before the storms hit. DH decided it was too much money to ride the B- 17. Over $400. Then the storms blew up soo..
New meds are starting to kick in. I slept better than I have in a while. Keep your fingers crossed

Jo that is great on your weight and measurements did you have a good walk and brunch? Spring there yet?

Deb Avy Laura
where are you?

Well we are swimming here. Flash flooding and tons of rain. We were working on the front deck but had to quit and relax inside. Ahhhh.

I'm here! In Victoria for 2 days, back home and hanging out with the BF. Scale was up to 183 this morning, but I can already feel the extra water leaving, so I'm sure it'll be gone again by Monday. too many nuts and atkins bars while away for 2 days, and entirely TOO MUCH SALT. Stayed low carb, but that doesn't stop the water retention and upset tummy from the sugar alcohols.

Heading to the movies tonight with the BF to see Superman. Just had supper, but he'll be buying popcorn and candy, bleh! I will be taking soy nuts with me, otherwise I ate more than I wanted today anyway, so I don't need more food!

LOL...didn't have the soy nuts, ate about 2 cups of popcorn though. Superman was really good too. much different than the others that have been around. I recommend it!

And yes, definitely have gas!! My bf is laughing at me! This is the first time ever, I've noticed the negative effects of "off plan" food and sugar alcohols on my digestive system... which I'm glad, because except for being fat, I've never had a reason to stay on plan lol. Good incentive to get right back to normal eating tomorrow.

Yup.... Happens to me sometimes when I chew S/F gum & suck on too many Ricolas.
Yeah...heard the new Superman is pretty good.

Still -6...hoping for a -1 or 2 this week! In the 50's rt now...but, will get in the 70's later today. Off to Yoga in a bit.

Morning! Supposed to get to a high of 72 here today

Deb~Out of Funk...Yay! Sometimes it is hard to get & go for exercise. How was the Y?

Karen~Yay...-2.5! Nice cycle ride! Wear more sunscreen next time. LOL...on DD @ the gym!

CJ~Rain again! Weight gain...Sometimes meds do that! How much more work on the deck before it's finished? Have any before/after pix?

GJo~LOL...on the butter counteracting the carbs in popcorn! How was the girly brunch?

Scale a wittle up this am. Think it's due to the Hummus/ veggies & loaded bockwurst I ate yesterday.
Off to Yoga & then maybe paddle boarding on the lake.

got this off of F/B

.I juat need someone to come over and make it for me

.
For my low carb friends>> Pair this with a salad and you have a perfect low carb meal!
Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 oz pepper jack cheese, shredded (you can use up to 6 oz)
1 c frozen spinach, thawed and drained (you can also use fresh cooked spinach)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp breadcrumbs (I use Italian style)
Sea salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Lots of toothpicks
Cajun seasoning ( to your liking )

Directions

Preheat oven to 180 (350 degrees Fahrenheit ).

Flatten the chicken to 1/4-inch thickness.

In a medium bowl, combine the pepper jack cheese, spinach, salt and pepper.

Combine the Cajun seasoning and breadcrumbs together in a small bowl.

Spoon about 1/4 c of the spinach mixture onto each chicken breast. Roll each chicken breast tightly and fasten the seams with several toothpicks. This part requires a tiny bit of skill and I typically use about 8 toothpicks in each roll to ensure none of the filling seeps out. Be sure to count how many total toothpicks were used!

Brush each chicken breast with the olive oil. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning mixture evenly over all. Sprinkle any remaining spinach and cheese on top of chicken (optional).

Place the chicken seam-side up onto a tin foil-lined baking sheet (for easy cleanup). Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.

Remove the toothpicks before serving. Count to make sure you have removed every last toothpick. Serve whole or slice into medallions

Everything in town is within 2 miles of my house. If I count going to the office, everything can be measured in blocks........

No rain yesterday or today. If 2 more days, we can get the rest of the crops in and haying started. Man, would that make us happy!!! Now to just get some of the accounting projects finished up...................

(And sunburnt from motorcycles yesterday)
