Thanks guys!!

beach - that is awesome!!!!! It's funny how different plans work for different people. I used to think that 1200 calories is 1200 calories but that's just not the case (at least for me). So glad you're going in the right direction!

I completely agree belle! Its whatever works for the person. Just like running or tennis or weight lifting isnt for everyone. Its what that person clicks with.

Morning ladies!

So, I made the decision this morning to join Belle in a regular LC plan. Back to the basics.
I was doing ok on my fasting...but to be honest I was getting so hungry every few days that it would lead me to grab something bad...then I'd feel horrible so I'd go back to fasting...which would lead to me cheating again. lol Vicious cycle.

So I decided this morning, when I woke up thinking about how hungry I was...to just eat low carb foods and stop doing this to myself.

I'm still giving myself until September 1st to lose some weight before I weigh in...but after that my goal will be to lose 2.5 pounds a week along with Belle.

I'm going to start posting everything I eat again, to keep myself accountable.

So far today I've had coffee and two little slivers of cheese.

I need to go to the grocery store to stock up on LC foods again, but I think I'll probably have a salad for lunch. And then a cucumber salad for dinner with a little bit of stir fried beef.

I haven't been drinking water at all, so that changes today too. Aiming for 100 oz.

I just realized we should have been "Bringing Sexy Back" by now....but since we're already almost a month late for that challenge, I'll just let us hang out here until September 1st and then I'll start our Halloween challenge.

Morning!!!!!

I know we aren't "weighing" in but I wanted to post where I'm at. So I was in the high 190s for the last year or so while I was doing the work out program 5 days a week. I didn't see any real losses with that. They kept telling me that I had to have carbs (like brown rice and lentils) if I was going to work out that hard and I listened. A year later and I hadn't lost any weight. Around late spring I gained a few pounds, then a few more when summer started, and then a few at the beach in July. When I got back from the beach July 13th I was 209.2. I started this plan July 15th. I'm down to 198.6 this morning, so 10.6 in 3 weeks and 5 days. I am still doing spin class Tuesday and Thursdays and will do a workout video at home 2 days a week. I am focusing on strictly cardio and will add some strength training in after a few months. Right now I think I need cardio the most.

Pleaseeeeeeeee come back kitty - like on the regular !

soooooooooo super excited that you're doing this with me FF!!! I love having a partner! This is gonna be great !

beach - it's great when you don't dread your woe isn't it?? Makes all the difference... Have fun at your reunion. You've worked really hard to look great for it and I hope to see pics on fb!!!

olda - hope you have a great weekend! how did you do this week?

I think I will be be able to stop in more once the kids start school again.

Eating whatever right now and exercising. The eating part is always the hardest.

Kitty, great to see you here. I know, getting back on plan is so hard. Just do it with us! It's so much easier when other people are following your plan. We'll all do it together!

Morning Ladies!

Yesterday was the best day I've had in a long time. Stuck to my low carb foods, had no temptation to cheat, and I was actually full when I went to bed instead of starving like I have been lately. lol

I just had one of the pumpkin smoothies that Belle gave me the recipe for. YUM! This will definitely be part of my daily menu for a while.

Menu today is:
B: pumpkin smoothie
L: Salad
D: scallops, cucumbers

Amity!! Good to see you! Please come back more !

FF - so glad yesterday went well! I look forward to the pumpkin smoothie every morning and can't believe how low in carbs it is!! Every fall I hate not being able to get the pumpkin spice latte at starbucks because it smells so good. I found the recipe for this smoothie last fall and used it then for a while. I forgot about it until recently when I saw that I had pumpkin in my pantry lol. I also like the peanut butter chocolate one. I use unsweetened cocoa and one tablespoon of the peter pan whipped pb because it's only 2 carbs or so. That one is really good too.

I saw this low carb broccoli quiche recipe on facebook and tried it last night. It was soooooo good! I also saw another one for zucchini chips that are supposed to taste like kettle chips. I may try that one day soon.

Morning All!

Beach, I hope you're having fun with your reunion festivities!

Belle, I'm totally having that quiche tomorrow.

Yesterday's salad was OUTSTANDING. It's funny how this time around I'm not craving meat like I usually do on LC. I had bought ground beef the other day when I was doing my LC shopping. I had planned to make the rotel dish. But then it didn't sound appetizing so I put in the freezer. I loved my salad yesterday. So I think I will stick more to fish, veggies, eggs, and cheese...and turkey.

Menu today:
B: Pumpkin smoothie
S: cheese
L: turkey and cheese roll up.
D: Salad

So...no pictures... too busy and I found there is a reason I didn't keep these people in my circle (for the most part)
I am exhausted In on weeks time, I have had a wedding, a funeral, a family reunion (from the funeral) and a high school reunion...plus band camp is in full swing and I am fitting 42 kids in uniforms AND getting my oldest DD ready for college and her first apartment...AND we move her next weekend. Late night last night and early morning for work today...

Beach, it's so funny you said that because at my 10 year reunion I didn't get to go, and I was so disappointed and my brother made me feel better by pointing out that the people I really would have cared about seeing, were still in my circle. So, I have no plans to attend my 20 year reunion next year because I realized that he (and you) are right, there IS a reason we didn't keep those people in our circle!

Anyhow, I'm glad your busy weekend is almost over and hopefully you can relax soon.

LCL, welcome back! I'm glad we're all getting back to our plans now that summer is winding down!

The recipe that Belle gave me for the pumpkin smoothie is as follows:
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup 100% pumpkin
2 scoops protein powder
4 ice cubes
cinnamon and nutmeg

I made the first one with protein powder, then tried it again withOUT protein powder, and I like it better without the powder. So I tweaked my recipe a bit. I do the following
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup coconut milk creamer (It's hard to find, but it's like coconut milk version of heavy cream)
1/4 cup pumpkin
pumpkin pie spice (which I use since I don't have nutmeg in the house. lol)
5 ice cubes.
1 or 2 drops of stevia liquid sweetener

Blend it all up. It's sooooooo freaking delicious! And keeps me full until lunchtime.

Morning All!

So 3 days of LC under my belt and I feel great. Ketosis has kicked in already and I'm not hungry all day like I used to be.

Menu today:
B: Pumpkin smoothie
L: Salad
D: Salad

I usually add in some cheese for snack during the day too. I also plan to buy some sugar free jello today too and add that as a daily snack, because years ago when I did atkins for the first time, I had jello everyday and my hair and nails grew soooo much. So, I want to try that again.

That pumpkin smoothie sounds great.

I was making smoothies with fruit, spinach and plain full fat greek yogurt which added alot of protein. They are really filling and so good.

Off to do some painting and keep my mind off of food.

Good day all!
I have to pre scoop 150 bowls of ice cream tonight to bring to my ice cream social for work tomorrow. Yikes !

I am a little freaked out about keeping it all cold until the party.
I am hopefully going to find enough dry ice to help it stay frozen.

Got to go out soon but don't want to leave the house.

Had a pretty good week eating wise, ran about a mile every morning.... Drank too much. A couple nights of some red wine and even 2 beers one night. The worst of it all was the stress this week. My heart was in my throat the whole time for no apparent reason. A week of panic attacks. Hormones I guess. Same weight 139.5.

Nice to see everyone here and on point.

I had a pretty good weekend. Still totally on plan. I think I retained too much water yesterday because I was up today from Friday. That sucks but hopefully it will be right back off tomorrow. That's what FF tells me so it better be true LOL!!

FF - your recipe looks good too!!! I'll have to try that if I'm ever out of the powder. I found some morning star ground meat substitute and will be using that for things like rotel. It's very low in carbs and I was told it tastes just like ground meat when mixed with something so we'll see !

beach - We never had a reunion. I always thought I wanted to go until facebook came around. Then I got back in touch with the few people that I had missed and now could care less. I know it's at least something that you can say you did though. You have a lot going on lately so I'll be thinking of you!

LCL - so glad you're back!

Amity - that mozz salad sounds awesome! I do the tom/mozz with italian seasonings and a little olive oil and just eat it out of the bowl. Never thought to add cucumber but I bet it's amazing!!!

olda - hope you have a better week with the panic attacks!!

Hey guys!
My ice cream party went wonderfully and I didn't even have a lick!

I did have to remind myself a couple of times that I don't eat that stuff anymore.
I almost went out and made a sundae then stopped myself. I wasn't disappointed either... It was just like, " oh yeah, I forgot"

I hope everyone had a great day. Sounds like we are all back on the wagon!
