Good morning and thanks ladies for your I weighed again this morning and I am still down, I was afraid it might be a dream. I am beginning to have hope that I will make it. Just got to make it a life change. I made some cream cheese clouds yesterday, omg, I can see where one of these can be a lifesaver.

cfine, I also have a small garden, tomatoes, squash and cucumbers. I have small tomatoes and cukes but my squash plants are all blooms and no squash.

Good luck everyone with your weighins and hangin, the cravings will pass.

I had a NSV today while I was in my closet grabbing some clothes and blindly put a pair of jeans and zipped them up. I had bought these jeans for later in the summer but they fit me now,,,a size 10 petite! (They are not even slightly tight, no camel toe here!) From a 26/28 to a 10p is so exciting. Onward and downward ladies!

Mary- The book Brain Over Binge is by Kathryn Hansen. The Book Rational Recovery:The New Cure For Substance Abuse Addiction by Jack Trimpey is not new, been around since 1996. Hansen uses the approach Trimpey talks about changing the words "drinking" with "eating" since there were so many similarities between alcoholic drinking and binge eating.

Gibbs- You're on a roll!!!

Mcchimento and Scalestepper- Keep up the good work!

KimLou- Good job with the distraction. Every time you don't cave in to suger it gets easier to resist.

Cfine- Woohoo on the swimsuit falling off!

Hey Kimlou - how is your restart going?

Good morning to everyone. It's a beautiful day!
Hi everyone!

Shunsweets - Sorry your scale didn't cooperate. I'm down 2.6 lbs. today, probably all water, but I'll take it!

Frankie - Good going on the jeans! (I'm not familiar with NSV, what does that mean?)

Alice - I bet you'll make it into the 160's by weeks' end, keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Cfine - a new bathing suit - wow! I haven't had a bathing suit on in years!

Nicki, Gibbs and Mcchimento - congratulations on your losses!

Sorry, if I forgot anyone, Congratulations to everyone who lost and everyone who didn't but stuck to plan.

Completed my second day of strict reinduction. Stayed on plan and kept carbs below 20, protein at 50 and fat at 115. Hoping to see a little dip in weight tomorrow morning but at least not an increase.

Everyone seems to be doing great!

Lilbeetle hang in there. This is a very healthy way to eat even if your body wants to hold on to the pounds. This is what I tell myself every day lol.

Frankie, you just about moved me to tears. I love it when you discover something in your closet that fits. It's pure joy. I was in a 26/28 at my highest weight of 276. I still can't believe that was me. This morning when I was getting ready to go to the pool, I realized I don't have a cover up. The one I have is a 3x and I wasn't going to wear it, no way!

Congrats on everybody's losses!!

Loved catching up on everyone's week ! Hubby and I and another couple went on vacation last week to Texas. I did great and had a planned cheat for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Back on track after lunch on Sunday. I was up by 5 pounds when I weighed yesterday morning, but have been fasting with liquids and am back down again.

Good morning, all!!! It looks like it is going to be a beautiful, over-cast day today. I love days like this where it is not too hot. I have been doing great keeping my blood sugar down. I take the last of the prednisone on Saturday and things should get easier from there. I am so disappointed though. I have been doing low carb exactly with no cheats and I have gained 3.4 lbs in the past 3 days. What is going on? Of course I have taken in all this food this week with little to no coming out. That may be part of my problem. From what I understand, constipation can be a problem at first. What to you recommend to get things moving and then keep the plumbing open?

Frankie, I am so excited about those jeans. Those unexpected NSVs are the best. Great going.

Gibbs- 4lbs!!! WOW!!! congrats

Scalestepper, Mcchimento, Tweaker- congrats on the loss.

I am glad to see everyone else is doing well. Talk with you later.

Cathy Jo, make sure you are getting some good fat. Coconut oil is one that a lot of people use to help them go regularly. I supplement with magnesium.

Still 152 ! I want to see downward movement on the scale! I should not be complaining though. Last night I snacked on pork rinds instead of veggies and I really thought it would show up on the scale this morning, but it didn't! So for that, I am thankful. I think I need to go on the "Lettuce Pray Diet" and consume nothing but lettuce to get to where I want to be! Bless me Father for I have sinned.....I tend to eat too much

Morning All! Beautiful day here today. Hope to get out and enjoy it. Scale was right at 170 today, my all time low! yay! But just couldn't get it to jiggle into that 169 range. Oh well, I am getting closer!

Garden - I understand that frustration when the scale just won't budge. Just don't give up, it does happen!

Phranquie - Congrats on that size 10!!

Gibbs - So close to goal, awesome!

Avy - my weight always bounces day to day. I don't think I'm ever the same weight from one day to the next. Gotta love our bodies!

Have a great day all!

Good Morning!

My scale was still holding at 213 this am....at least it wasn't up. I ended up having a clam flat bread for dinner last night, so I'm not surprised that there wasn't a loss. Onward and upward (or downward depending on how you wanna look at it)

Today is fish day....
B - scrambled eggs, salmon, cottage cheese & dill mix up in a bowl
L - more salmon on a spinach/arugula salad with vinaigrette
D - baked cod over broccoli
pumpkin seeds if I decide on a snack
water & coffee w/CO

Here's to having a good day!!!

Its so nice to read about all your successes...I am a daily weigher and my weight also bounces up and down but I am thrilled when the trend stays downward. I have been between 222 and 223 for a week now but at least it hasn't gone any higher. I was kinda disappointed in the cheesecake- my fam liked it but they put chocolate and blueberry syrup on theirs.lol. Everyone have a great day

Hey all, just checking in. Sorry I have been MIA. Work has been crazy, husband has been sick in bed for the last week and 1/2 with some crazy virus, so besides my 15 hour work days, been having to do everything at home and with my son by myself. So not much time for reading or posting.

I am still holding at 183. TOM is here, so I didn't really expect much of a loss this week. Hopefully next week will start downward again!

KUTGW everyone!

Hi everyone - I'm up .8 lbs. today, but still below where I was on Monday, so I'm still trying. Haven't had anything bad today, eggs, Canadian bacon for breakfast, cheese and bologna with mustard for lunch, don't know what dinner will be yet.

CathyJo - I suspect part of the problem is the prednisone, I don't know for sure but I'm thinking one of the side effects is weight gain. As for keeping things moving, more fiber usually works. A lot of peeps use psyllium husk, some go with the coconut oil in coffee - I can't quite do that, just seems like an oil slick to me! I think if you do a search you'll find lots of posts that address the issue.

Susan - at least your holding, that's better than a gain! You'll make it!

Alice - WTG - you're almost there, you can do it!

I'll be back later. Stay strong, ladies!

Day 3 of reinduction completed and I'm down a pound so the water weight is starting to come off. I only need to lose a few pounds to get back to my goal but more importantly I need to get back into ketosis and get my bgs stabilized again. Logging my food each night after dinner is really helping me get serious here but I don't want to become obsessive about it so I'll do a few more days then go back to just logging an occasional day to verify where I am.

I'm reading and enjoying everyone's posts. Thanks for sharing everybody.

Tweaker, suspect you are right about the prednisone. I take my last dose Saturday and then there will probably be a period of time it is still in my system, then maybe the scale will move. the ketostiks show me with a trace of ketones so I am doing good with the carbs

Just wanted all of y'all to know I just made a recipe from Linda Sue's site, Mushroom Chicken and Sausage casserole, and may I say AMAZING!!!! So I have cooked 2 different casseroles and froze indivdual servings. They are both induction friendly so that have me set for a couple of weeks with the super easy meals in between. I am trying so hard to pre-plan so I have no reason to eat junk.

Just finalized the paperwork with insurance co. for the car that was totaled a week or so a go. Glad that is over. Only problem is we have to find my daughter another car. Maybe that stress will ease up now.

Talk with everyone later.

I feel like I have averted crisis after crisis today. I ate some carby junk yesterday because I have been hungry...like MAN hungry. Not sure why but I gave it to the hunger. Today it was back in track and I have had horrible anxiety, cravings, and just been down right miserable. I had to stop in at a gas station for a pee break, and I had to talk myself down from buying a nutty bar. I felt like a crack addict standing on a street corner. Glad I have y'all for my therapy.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming :-)

So, I bought a new scale last night, one that measures body fat etc too. They are not accurate, but, I want to measure the trend of fat loss/muscle gain, since for 2 weeks the scale doesn't want to cooperate, and I know I must be doing something, with the eating right and working out! So, old scale said 181.2 this morning, new one 180.8. Either way, it's a loss, and I'll take it lol.

Oh, i also bought a hate rate monitor/pedometer watch thingy, but I think I will end up returnign it and just sucking it up and buying a fitbit. Any fitbit users here?

Saw my personal trainer for the first time tonight. She gave me a good workout, and didn't kill me, so I guess I'll keep her. :P

Reading about all the individual discoveries folks are making about planning reminds me the famous saying "Failure to plan is planning to fail." It is sort of like building a new home without blueprints.

Whether it be writing down the food, logging it into a tool, weighing and measuring, ir just not eating sugar and grains...all parts of the plan. When we choose to deviate from the plan, we have to redo the blueprint to accommodate. It just might take longer to achieve the end result.

Morning all! Well after hitting an all time low yesterday, the scale is up a pound today. But it seems that's how my losses usually go. Hit a low, up for a few days, then settle at the new low. Plus I worked in the yard yesterday and today my joints feel a bit puffy - so I'm blaming it on that!

Avy - I've been wondering about those scales that measure fat. You'll have to let us know how it works out!

cfine - congrats on not succumbing to those cravings. WTG!

Good job to all for staying strong! We can do this! Remember, it's a lifestyle NOT a diet!

Cathy-that is one of my favorite recipes from Linda Sue. It's really really good!

Cfine-great job! I know that getting off the carbs is the hardest thing to do and I don't even want to go through that again. It took forever, and 50lbs! Plus my anxiety is a problem anyways, adding carbs to the mix just puts me over.

Avy-let me know how you like that fitbit? What all does it do? I saw them at Sprint on Saturday. I wanted a body bug last year but they are so expensive.

Everyone else

Well TOM finally showed, I've had a couple days of just trying to make it through. I get PMS really badly, always have, though it's all way less bad after being LC. Anyhoo I been eating way too much, not exercising, and not weighing. But keeping it LC. My appetite is always ravenous around this time. Now that it's here my appetite will go away. And I'm going to try to hit the gym. I'm going to try to do what I gotta do so I can weigh Sunday. Not going to until then.

Chugging my water/coffee and I think I'm going to do meat/egg a couple days.
