Congrats on the loss, Michelle. As for me, I'm staying the same.

I'm frustrated today! For the last few days I have had horrible indigestion, burping, etc. I feel bloated. My sinuses are stuffy. And now my weight is up 3 lbs. I have not eaten anything different, so I don't know what's going on. I hope this turns itself around soon!

Hope everyone else has a good day!!

I just realized that I haven't posted for a few days so I'm just checking in, not much happening.

Alice, I hope you're feeling better.

Watched my granddaughter for my daughter because she walks to work and on Tuesday morning was when our arctic freeze with sleet was moving in. Today being stuck in the house with son from school, the baby and my husband and trying to work (I work from home for an online school that caters to home schooled students), I forgot to eat lunch.

Hi Everyone! Still cold here, but warming up a little. At this point 20 degrees feels like a heat wave!

My indigestion is better, but still having some trouble. I've been trying to figure out what's causing it. I did some research and have learned that splenda/sucralose can cause a lot of issues with stomach bacteria balance. I have been using a lot of that lately. So I've started to take a probiotic to see if that helps. Has anyone had any issues with splenda, or noticed stomach problems when using a lot of it?

I switched from Splenda to Stevia. I use liquid mostly but if I get powdered I make sure there is no maltodextrin in it, just inulin and stevia.

Thanks Mary! I tried some stevia recently and didn't care for the taste. However, I just got a bottle of Sweetleaf and it seems to have no bad after taste, so I'm going to try using it!

That is what I use. The liquid comes in all flavors. Love the English toffee and the chocolate raspberry.

Happy February everyone. Thank God January is over. Hopefully all that cold weather will be gone very soon. Goal for this month is 7 lbs. I would love 10 lbs. but I lean on the side of caution. Busy time for work for me though. I need to make sure I plan well and ahead. I need to do this.

Too much partying yesterday. Up 2 lbs. today. Somewhat fasting until dinner which was a salad.

I've been busy lately and when I'm busy I am usually not hungry so I don't eat, mainly because I just don't think about it. I haven't stepped on the scales lately but I feel good so I'm happy with that for now.

Hi Everyone!

It's still cold and miserable here. We are expecting yet another snow storm tonight. So over it! I'm still having some indigestion or reflux issues. I tried a 2 week course of Prilosec, which did not help AND made me gain weight, so no more of that. Now I'm trying some more natural remedies. Hopefully that will help.

Stay warm everyone!

Eating off for the Super Bowl is taking a whole week to get back down to where I was on Sunday. I do not want to lose a week again. Its too hard.

Alice, try not eating dairy for a while, staying away from grains and sugars too. I also found certain veggies didn't help. I have no more gerd.

Thanks Mary. I actually have not had grains or sugar in the last 18 months. I used to get heartburn a lot, and that totally went away when I gave up grains and sugar, and I have felt great. That's why I'm so frustrated that this is now starting. What's weird is I don't have the "heartburn" portion. Just more indigestion type symptoms. I've never had a problem with dairy before, but maybe I should eliminate that for a while and see if it helps.

I didn't feel well all week, sort of nauseous, no real appetite, but ate my 3 meals just because I commit to eating 3 meals. I didn't want to set myself up for a binge when I felt better. So I made some homemade vegetable soup, called Austrian Creamy Cauliflower soup, it hit the spot and am feeling better.

I love cauliflower soups! Mary, what makes yours Austrian? Could you post your recipe?

Speaking of committing to eating 3 meals, that is something I really need to do. I think that's part of the reason I'm not losing. Sometimes I eat breakfast, sometimes lunch but usually not both. Dinner usually but sometimes not a balanced meal. I'm sure my body holds onto what it's got not knowing when it may be fed again. Anyone else have a problem losing when not eating regularly?

The name has the word Austrian in the title. I took the recipe from the Eat to Live book. I will type it up later. Maybe because it is a faux cream soup.

I'm still here - same old same old. I finally got rid of the weight I gained (which I think was from the Prilosec, but not sure now) Anyway, my indigestion is still bothering me some, so I'm eating less, and that brought my weight back down. Not really the way I want to lose it. But oh well.

I finally dropped the few pounds that I gained from my stomach issues. And that is doing better too, finally! Other than that, it's just maintenance. Anybody else still around??

It's been 32 days since I started back. I now only have to Prilosec once every other day. I used to take it twice a day and had the burning so bad that it felt like the food was passing an open wound. I'm doing pretty well this time. 18.6 lbs. in the 32 days. I am watching calories and very little cheese and dairy this time around. The next two days are going to be rough. My birthday is tomorrow and my son and husband are going to take my out to eat at one of the buffets at the casinos in Mississippi. It is going to take a great deal of constraint. Saturday, my daughter wants to take me out as well. We are going to Applebee's so I should be able to choose wisely. My aunt sent one of her famous cakes for my birthday but I won't open the box yet because I know I will want to eat it. I overate Super Bowl Sunday and it took a week to get back at that weight. I am determined right now to stay on plan. Maybe - one sugar free dessert tomorrow!

Hi everyone! I'm still here. I slipped up lately and gained a few pounds but I'm back on track and have already lost 2 1/2 lbs. I am determined this time that I am going to make my goal--I can and will do this! Don't let me give excuses for not staying on plan, there just is no good excuse!!

OK, come on guys, am I the only one checking in here? I am happy to report that I've lost 4.5 lbs. in the past week. I am really going to try to keep this going, it's about this time that things slow down and I get discouraged and start with a little here and a little there of things I shouldn't have and before you know it I'm out of control.

I'm here. Not really making any progress, just maintaining. I hurt my foot last week somehow and haven't been able to work out. Working out keeps me motivated. Then before that, TOM was really a bad situation this month and took alot out of me, so that was before last week, then this week, I have had some kind of stomach bug so I'm trying to recoup from that.

I'm on plan, just not losing.

Tweaker-that's great! Im so happy someone is losing!

Hi All! Everything is pretty status quo here. My weight is maintaining like it should. I have been experimenting with adding a few different healthy foods, like some All Bran cereal for breakfast. So far so good! It's finally warming up a bit here this week, so I'm hoping to get outside for a walk tomorrow! Getting a serious case of cabin fever here.
