I'm EXACTLY the same way. Ravenous for a few days before and then my appetite disappears once I start. PLUS I'm super tired for a few days before and then perk up for one day, then BAM! I'll start the very next day and be super tired again for a day. After that, I'm fine. Right now I'm in ravenous/tired mode....

Scale is still stuck at exactly 213. I'll keep plugging along, but not really expecting any loss until sometime next week.

I had salmon, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese and dill for breakfast. I'm not sure what lunch will be yet (hubby is going to pick me up from the office soon and take me out somewhere) and dinner will be baked cod, cottage cheese & steamed brocc/cauli blend w/butter.

Still super busy at work, but I wanted to pop in and catch up on all the posts. Hope all is well!

Morning all. TOM is still over a week away so I have no excusefor over eating

Well its day 18 on my stall and Im fed up. Thinking of doing the meat and egg fast, since I am familyless for the weekend which makes it easier on me - not seeing them eat - and them - me being grumpy

Made it through day 4. Making shirataki spaghetti for supper. Still hungry more than I should be but down another pound. Only 3 pounds to go and I'll be back at goal. I remember long ago reading Atkins and him saying if you get 5 pounds over goal while in maintenance jump back on induction and get rid of it before it becomes a bigger problem. So that is what I am trying to do for weight. The blood glucose battle is, sadly, never ending.

My body is still being stupid! But I have 3 days off so I'm willing to compromise.

Still debating on the fitbit, I'll probably order it by the end of the weekend and take back the thing I bought.

I figure if the scale shows an increase in muscle and a decrease in fat (hopefully) after 30 days of working out and yoga 6 days a week, I'll feel it was worth the $50, even if my body weight stays stubbornly the same. I know I can feel my body changing.

Shunsweets, that sounds like a good plan. I always feel guilty when I get grumpy with my family.

MsWoods, glad the workout helped.

Avy, I would love to have one of those fancy gadgets

I made it through day 2. I am starting to feel better, but I'm still hungry. Hunger is what started my downward spiral a couple of days ago. I feel like I've eaten quite a bit today. Maybe to tomorrow will be better. I hope so anyway..

Well, I'm now down .6 from yesterday so still up .2 from Tuesday. As always I'm on the roller coaster when losing but eventually I know a low number will stabilize for awhile then another loss can begin.

Glad everyone's hanging in!

Hey everyone, meant to join the group sooner, but it's been hectic the past few weeks, and I haven't spent much time on the computer.

I'm Terra, I'm 34 years old, married with a 11 year old, a 10 year old, and a 22 month old. I work full time and there's just not a lot of taking care of "me", because there's always so much else to take care of. I'm a long time low-carber, thanks to my mom, who's done Atkins forever. I've lost 35ish lbs since October, but I'm kind of bottomed out right now. I'd like to lose another 15-20 lbs eventually.

Happy Friday

TFIG Everyone! Weight this morning is still hovering right at 170. Just need a little nudge to push it below! But I'm like you, Tweaker, I usually bounce around a new low for a bit, stabalize, and then have another drop eventually. So I know I just have to be patient! (which, incidentally, is NOT one of my virtues. Just ask DH! )

I've been using my dehydrator a lot this week and am loving it! So far I've made zucchini chips, kale chips (yummy), jerky, and some banana chips. The banana was for DH, as they are too high in sugar for me. But I did try one and it was pretty tasty!

Since it's Friday I will allow myself a cocktail tonight. I recently tried the new liquid crystal light. It has sucralose not aspartame so I prefer it. And the flavors are awesome. I use the strawberry lemonade with a bit of tequila and it tastes just like a strawberry margarita. YUM

Enjoy your day all!

For those of you or any of you that have a fitbit, I read that it keeps track of calories burned, is that right? I looked at it and I don't see how. Last year I wanted to get a body bug for this purpose but they are so dang expensive. I really don't want yet another thing I have to log my food into lol.

Good morning friends. Today is day 3 for me. I'm really trying not to be grumpy, but I FEEL grumpy. I'm not hungry or even having food cravings per say, just in a bad mood. It's amazing how sugar and wheat will do that do me. I need to write down exactly how I'm feeling so that I can go back and read it when I am tempted to go off plan. UGH!

The plan for the day is just to get through the day without hurting someone. For real....Oh, and to eat on plan. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend planned. I will be so happy to see my hubby. He will only be in town for one day, but I'll take it.

I have to look up the body bug. I've been debating for a couple weeks which pedometer to buy, or gadget at any rate, I keep coming back to the fitbit, but maybe by the end of the weekend!

I have today off, yay! Making breakfast now, then I'll get going to the gym for an hour, then come home to motivate the houseboy to go out with me shopping lol.

The scale is still my nemesis, but I feel good! Went to yoga last night, every time is so different. We did flow style, which is move move move apparently. It was good though.

Hi everyone-
Busy day as usual but need some motivation so I am reading up... the scale went from bouncing between 222 and 223 up to 224...sigh...need to cut back but I have been feeling hungry and enjoying a glass of red wine every evening- yup...wine is going going gone!!
For lunch today I had tuna and mayo with a T of almonds. Mid afternoon I had 2 1/2 oz fat free turkey and mozzarella cheese stick. Getting ready for bacon and eggs for dinner...will sunflower seeds hurt- are they adding to a water weight gain from sodium?? Its been so rainy and miserable here I have been unable to get outside and work on my garden and my daughter's work schedule was crazy so I had the baby more than usual and couldn't get to the Y for my water walking this week- I sure miss it.
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend...

Llisarray, have fun camping.

Laurie, as long as you portion out the sunflower seeds and only have the one portion, I think you should be fine. Oh, now I am noticing the almonds at lunch...more than one servings of nuts per day can be a problem for most people. I would switch it for some protein and fat.

I made it through the day! I decided to do some retail therapy and that made me feel better about the world. I got a cute blue jean skirt. I never thought I'd ever wear something like that again. The only thing on me that's not fat is my legs and I intend to show them off..lol

I had an ok day. Put on a brisket in the oven last night, cooked beans and cornbread for mr. thinking I wanted some beans and that it would be worth the water weight gain but the more I looked at them the less I wanted to screw up my ..no hunger.. so I had some brisket and coleslaw. Sure am glad I didn't eat them even though I love beans. Every day gets easier but I always have to stay aware how to stay in control and happy with food in it's place.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hmmm
I always thought sunflower seeds were not a nut
Nuts can be split down a seam
How much is a portion?
The bag is 180 cal and 1 g net carbs

I buy the canned black soy beans, Eden Organic is the brand, pricy ($2.99 a can here) but worth it if you want beans, or for something like chili.

I tell you guys, sometimes I just stumbled into good memories and good eats. Last week I had been craving a cream of chicken soup like dish or something similar to dumplings but not. I was making this chicken stock with a tsp of gluc, T hwc and T butter and it dawned on me it tasted kind of like mothers gravy she made Thanksgivings except she put whole egg yolks in it. Well bingo I added in 2 crumbled boiled egg yolks and called it supper. It was so comforting and so good. Much much better than c of c soup we buy.

Hi everyone,
I am 33 years old with over 100 pounds to loose. I Am so very happy that I found this group! I am a wife and mother of a 6 year old girl. I also have a Chiwowa , and a pitbull that are also my baby's. I have struggled with weight my entire life, tried too many diets and am fed up already... I was diagnosed with PCOS recently and told that I am insulin resistant. Only makes scents to me to not eat carbs since my body doesn't like them and makes me stay overweight even with all the exercise and diets.
I am to run in my 1st 5k in 2 days and I am worried that I will not have enough energy it's day 4 for me today and I suffered from the "flu" this am. I had some broth and it helped, but I am so tired today.
I could talk forever, but I will stop ! I just wanted to say hi and that I look forward to meeting some if you!
