In-laws are gone and hopefully I can get back on track for eating low carb. Really, I didn’t do so bad while they were here…I just tried to control the meals I could (like breakfast and lunch) and made them low carb. We ate out quite a bit while they were here, so I found it harder to totally avoid all the bad carbs (bread, fries, DESSERT) but I did try to eat a lot less of the those things I would have in the past (like just one piece of the bread loaf at Outback instead of the whole thing!) **New Day—New Start**

KYSoccerMom - Thanks for the encouragement! I have 2.4 lbs to lose to reach my May goal and I'm going to do my best! Sounds like you had a really nice visit with your in-laws and kudos to you for mostly staying in-control! That's real progress and those couple pounds you're up will be off in no time!

I'm a bit late here, but thought I'd jump in. gained a few lbs on vacation and eating out constantly, but I know it'll drop fast in the next few days. Also starting with a personal trainer, and this is my first full week going to the gym doing weight training 3 times a week and tossing in a yoga class and maybe another class at some point into the mix.

First goal is to be 170 lbs by July 8th, final weight goal 140 lbs by January 1, 2014. And of course, my goals to be stronger, leaner, and be able to kick my bf's @#$!.

May 22 185 lbs

Officially down 50 lbs! Another 30 or so to my first goal, then I'll re-evaluate.

Couldn't do it without all the amazing support and motivation from this forum and all the wonderful people here.

So I've been starting the days out with low carb and by night not so good. Got on the scale and I'm at 189. So, not too bad.Need to just be at hone for a few days and get myself back on track.

Next month is moving month with some visits to the bar and a going away BBQ in there. So I know i'll be getting off the wagon again and i'm still worried about being able to afford eating clean in Alaska. All well, one day at a time.

I had a really good workout last night, not sure if that affected the scale or not today, but I'm up! Don't care though, I'm getting in shape and enjoying it, and as much as the scale needs to go down, as long as I'm feeling the health benefits, it's good!
