Good morning-
I'm waiting on the coffee. I just woke up early and decided to get up.

We had our last parent group board meeting of the year yesterday. We met for lunch at a little Italian Bistro in town. The restaurant has been really generous for the last couple of years to the parent group providing the main course almost every time we did a lunch for the school staff, so we wanted to take our business to them as a thank you. It was a nice afternoon, we ate, we chatted and then we all panicked at about the same time because our parking meters were expired. (after that the owner told us all about a free public parking lot just around the corner that we all thought was part of a condo building and didn't realize was public parking)

It sounds like we are all really busy! I hear someone else up, I'll be back later to chat! (pinky promise!)

So, I see everyone was waiting on me to come back and chat.

I've been to the dentist and my little bit of yard work/patio clean up is done. Now, to finish the house and laundry and deliver stuff to our booster club supporters and the boys.

Cindy, I'm sure you are pulling your hair out about now, its a good thing you have a brilliant stylist! I bet the seed bombs were messy to make.

Becky, I was out and about pretty much all day yesterday. It will slow down here when DS15 wraps up the school year (they don't get out until June 5)
Good luck with the DC weekend. I would be nervous without a reservation too. My parents do that all the time though and it always seems to work out ok for them.

MK, glad to hear Merlin is adjusting to family life. He is such a cutie!

Kaye, yes, "chic pics" pls/thx!
I love upscale re-sale shops. Glad your DD was able to find the perfect dress for prom and it sounds like she had a great time! that she will pull it out for HS graduation. Good luck!

Jenn, I always loved the home made presents. Sounds like all of the flower pots were adorable.
DS19 actually planted seeds in one of his classes as part of their lecture on transcendentalism they got extra credit if their plant was alive at the end of the term. He said only a few came back on the last day of class and the teacher plants them in her garden. He wanted the extra credit and actually babied his all along and said he even revived his neighbor's almost dead plant too. He cracks me up! I'm ready to have him home for the summer!

Morning!

I'm going to help a friend, who recently had a stroke, color her hair this morning!
I've never done this before . . . . pray for her!

Becky - no clue!! We had a few rumbles last night - but hardly any rain!

The hair turned out pretty good - if I do say so myself!
Though I did try to drown her when I was washing it .......

DS19 got in about 10 last night, we stayed up late chatting and I got up early to walk. I thought I would be exhausted, but so far, not there yet. He grabbed someone else's bag at the airport last night and we didn't realize it until almost midnight so we had to go back this morning and take the other bag back and get his. He felt bad for the other person, but they couldn't find the name when they picked up the bag and it was his bag that he normally carries instead of checks so it wasn't labeled well. (I'm guessing the other person does the same)

Both boys were a little full of energy so they went to "little people practice" so they could get in and pass a ball around together for a while. The little kids all think its really cool when the "older guys" show up to work out with them. (for whatever reason it always seems to be the guys that show up to have extra pool time with the little kids)

Work day

Slept horribly. Damn hot flashes.

DH has a cold. Praying I don't get it. We have a house full of company starting one week from today.

Three shifts and I am off for a week.

Kelly, I am sure it is great having your son home.

Cindy, isn't there a shower soon??

MK, does your son have a summer job???

Becky, keep me updated on your travel plans. Maybe you can have dinner with us Monday night. My mom has a 4:30 flight Sunday so dinner here would be hard but we can meet you some where. My dad will be with us.

Jenn, schools almost over. Is that good or bad?? Summer camp?

Debbie, I'm hoping we're going to postpone our trip til another weekend. No one can be with Kim when brad gets the girls, our backup (my niece) is going out of town too and with the restraining order he can't be within 100 feet of her unless one of us is with him, I don't know if we could get a full in or not.

Tomorrow is our 5K run, excited but nervous too. I know I can walk it with no problem but I want to run as much as I can.

Going to try to unwind. Busy day with mom, mowed and then picked our packets up.

Becky, walk and run. Just take it slow.

I understand if you don't come. Just let me know.

MK, 4 jobs!!! wow!!

Up early to run at 7. We actually have orientation at 7. I have a hard time standing in one place with my back so I hope it is short.

No other plans the rest of the day.

Not sleeping more then 1-2 hours at a time. Sure there is a nap coming later.

Go Becky Go!! I'm sure you were great!

I'm enjoying having my chatty child home again! YEAH! He kept me company yesterday while I delivered stuff to businesses that support our HS teams and went with me to help out with the lunch that the parent group were providing to staff at the HS. He wanted to say hello to some of his favorite teachers and thought that would be a good way to see most of them. (He only missed one favorite former teacher and that one is also our mayor and I'm sure he will run into him in town at some point soon) (He also ran into the pool manager where he will lifeguard this summer and ended up picking up an extra shift to cover for a kid that got hurt last week)

MK, my back is chronic. It doesn't mess with my sleep much. I get horribly hot and thirsty. I wake to drink and strip off PJs. I am not able to get comfortable more because of my bad shoulders. My left will freeze up if I sleep on my left side with my arm up. I don't want sleeping meds but may need them. They become addictive. My mom went through withdrawal when she stopped Ambien and had chest pain that sent her to the ER multiple times.

I had a nice run. No plans for the day. Raining a little.

Becky, tell us how it went.

Cindy, post shower pictures.

I have shower for Becca June 23 in Richmond. It is also her 26th birthday.

Kelly, my youngest likes visiting his old teachers too.

Better dry my hair, get dressed and see what we are doing. I have to eat and maybe cook a little too. Working 2 twelves and off 7 days.

I had the running stroller for the first 1/3 and Kim took it from me on her way back qnd she pushed it the 1/3 left for her. That saying, I finished in 56 minutes. It was holly, didn't realize that road has all the hills on it. I drive it A LOT and never noticed it. But I did it and a year ago I wouldn't have considered it. Now I want to do another one

Have a grad party tonight. See ya all later!

It was a 5k right? Pushing a stroller on the hills is very hard.

Our races don't allow strollers. I think you were amazing!!!! You should be super proud!!!!!

Awe Debbie, that choked me up!!! Kim's time was 36:20 and mine was 54:29. He's would have been much less without the stroller. Next time I'm gonna ask John to take the morning off however fat chance of that next year cu Alyssa wants to run it. I didn't realize they kids could have. I thought it was just for the raffle. I'm gonna post a pic of her and grace on fb, Alyssa won the kids run hands down. She's definitely gonna be a runner. I'm never gonna put a label on Gracie cuz I hate that with parents but lets say Gracie is more like mammawvand in it for the fun... Alyssa was DEFINITELY in it to win!!!

Hi!

I've been planting flowers - pics on FB!

Becky - congrats on the race! And don't worry about the time ~ you had a fun time with your girls!

Kelly - sounds fabulous! DS24 always goes back to visit with his HS teachers. DS20 never does.

Debbie - take it easy today, you deserve it!

Going out for early dinner with friends.

Made my breakfast frittata for 4 meals. Makes mornings easier. Folded laundry. Pulled grass growing in my gardens.

Any idea how to keep grass out. It comes back faster then I can pull it.

John does the flower gardens for us, all I do is Merlin's grave cuz he's not allowed to touch it. He pulls EVERYTHING up if it looks even remotely like a weed and I have windflowers on his grave. He leaves the ground cover (flox) but he pulls the windflowers so he's banned from that corner of our back yard. I would like to know how to keep grass out too.

Busy doing this and that. Been playing a lot of Scrabble with my MIL.

Three more weeks of school, then Rhonda's birthday, cub scout day camp for Henry, and at the end of June, Padraic goes to Boy Scout camp.

I will be so glad when summer gets here!
