Happy May everyone. Need a fresh start too. Drs appointment again tomorrow. Hope they find out what's wrong. Need to get back on plan. Really hard not being able to chew much.

Jo wtg on 6 days induction. Glad your snow is almost gone. But hope the ice doesn't melt to fast and get flood waters your way. Yes I love the peddle boat, it was a gift to myself a few years ago Love making my coffee and taking the dog out with me and just peddle around in peace and quit. When I have BD parties for the kids up here I always make alot of things that I can pick on. Lots of crunchy vegies and dips, deviled eggs, ham a dill pickle roll ups. Keeps me away from the junk.

Deb did you ever sell the big house? Tis the season to start making your wine and stock up for the summer I've been stocking up on mine too. Gotta have drinks on the lake. Have fun at the lake house, maybe you'll get some good running in.

Laura bet your enjoying your week off, any special plans.

Cheryl what's your plans for the new month. Your doing so good. Did your finally finish your LH? We need to lay down our kitchen floors, but waiting to DS to come and do it. I already have the flooring.

Mary wow sounds like you had a busy day. Wednesday afternoons are shopping day with GF after I'm done with work. I also went to Goodwill and Salvation Army looking for things for my yard. Found a few really nice planters I also look for antiques because most of my cottage are filled with them. This time of year is big yardsale time and I love going to them all, even if I don't find anything.Did you make those quilts that are in the picture?
Tequila chicken sounds so good.

Aha! I found you !

It's colder today. Rain and snow. I worked long and hard yesterday to make up for missing a couple days. Pooped.

Misty they don't know what's wrong yet?
How does a paddle boat do on a rougher lake? Ours gets stirred up by seadoo and boat traffic and wind. What does your flooring look like. Lake house isn't done. Since we got the main area done we've slowed down.

Deb sounds like a nice weekend. Are you going to relax? How's your training?

Laura.

Mary our Goodwill just rebuilt/ reopened. I haven't been in yet

Pat how's Paradise? How long will you be there?

Well the 2 year anniversary is coming up. Sometimes I wish they would just let it pass but I know it's still part of the healing process for the community. Google maps came thru to update and the town didnt object this time so that's a good sign. We have 3 new grocery stores going in the zone, a movie theater, library , a couple strip malls, lots of new restaurants , apt complexes being built and the new hospital is coming along great. Most of the schools should be open next school year. No more Mall high School lol.

Cheryl went to a new Dr this morning because I wasn't getting any answers and the pain is so bad, I can't chew at all. Well this guy is awsome. I go to a specialist on the 20th but he's pretty sure I have a salivary duct stone and it's infectected as well. So happy to have some sort of answer. I want REAL food. My floor looks alot like yours did, but I had a client give me most of it, still in the wrappers. Think I only have to buy about 4 more. Nice price Yikes your still getting snow, hope it's not much. No can't use the peddle boat of ruff waters. When I go out and the wind starts blowing with currents, it take forever to try and get back. One step forward and alot back. I've even docked it at friends homes and walked back.Wow 2 years already, glad that things are finally being rebuilt, but I sure all that went through it will never forget. How is your Mom doing now, hope she's finally enjoying her new home.

I'm so glad they are getting this figured out ! It's been awhile.

You and your freebies from friends! We are loving our floor. I read a lot on how to clean it. So many talking about problems from cleaners. But it's easy. I simply dust it with a dry micro fiber mop, change the mop cloth and mist the floor with water and mop. No problems with paw prints or stickiness like so many have reported.

Mom is doing great. My brother, SIL, and nephew are coming for a visit and she is prepping for that. The house still has problems. She had an electrician out to put a plug in the floor for lamps and he couldn't because there is water under the house. She called the builder. Had to leave a message. They did send someone out and he found a sump pump under the house and it didnt work. He tried to get hold of the builder but couldn't. I checked the website. It has been shut down. They opened a restaurant so I guess they are getting out of building. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

I was so sick yesterday I managed to work barely and then slept on the couch all evening and slept all night. I feel much better today and that is good because we are at stage 6 the river has flooded and all the communities but ours has started evcualtion. We will if the water comes up another 10 inches. The ice is crazy this year, exciting and scarey if that makes sense. This is just a quick run through to let you know whats happening. Break up has happened now lets hope the ice keeps on moving.

Goodmorning, another nice sunny day today so going to try and get some much needed cleaning done. Went food shopping early this morning. New meds Dr gave me yesterday is causing bathroom issues so not straying to far

Cheryl glad your Mom is doing great. Hope even though the builders are out of business that they have someone to cover the contract that they had. The best stuff to clean lamanint or wood floors is a product called Bona. So great, just spray it on the floor and wipe with a cloth mop. Drys right away.

Jo ss you were sick, but glad your feeling better. When they have to evacuate were to does everyone go. You still can't get to the main land right. Hope the flooding does go your way. Stay safe.

Deb have a great weekend, sounds the weather is going to be great for you.

We had several inches of snow last night. It's the first recorded snow for the month of May. Temps are in the 40's so it is melting. We may get more on Sat.

Jo that situation sounds scary. I sure hope it doesn't flood. I'm glad you are feeling better. Is the party on hold?

Misty if it isn't one thing it's another. Did the meds at least help you jaw? Thanks for the floor tip

Deb you've earned some time off. Some relax and kick back time

Laura I'm jealous of your weather.

We are headed to the lake to work this weekend. Surprise! But we are also taking more relaxing time down there.

So far we are still here, they evacuate the hospital this afternoon and across the river they have evacuate around 300 so far. Some parts of the island are flooded but we are good so far. The ice is still jammed and if the water comes up much more they will close down water so bathtubs full and lots of drinking water. Believe it or not the party went on and they are settled in the living room watching a horror movie and if a bit quieter A boy girl party is noisy!!! I had a great week weigh wise 6.2 lb weight loss but I know alot of it was water and at this moment on day 8 of induction even today I am doing good. I have a roast pork defrosting for tomorrow. Hope you are all having a good weekend and I promise to check in everyday if you dont hear from me we are likely evacuated. It does look rather scarey out there and high tide tonight is around 11:00 I think. Misty I have no idea where they will take us if we have to go as there are so many being evacuate along the James Bay and with luck we wont have to. Cherly I am so sorry about your snow its awful in May!! Laura I am doing just fine and hanging in there. I am typing in the dark as the kids have the lights off I hate horror movies so I might take a book and go read for a bit in quiet. Have a great night

No so glad your safe and the party went on. on your weight loss!! The snow we had was gorgeous great big flakes and most of it was gone by the end of the day. We had never had snow in May. Is your DH getting any pictures?

Welcome LC4me. Do you have a specific plan/ goal? A lot of us are back on induction trying to get restarted.

We are at the lake house but just kicking back this weekend. I will probably be off plan several days in the next couple weeks. Family visiting and I plan to enjoy myself but not over indulge. So I don't expect to lose anything over this time. I may not even weigh in til I'm back on induction.

Laura how do fix your cabbage?

Misty how are you feeling?

Thanks for the welcome, Cheryl.

My goal is to get back to what works for so many of us --low carb. I've done best following Atkins. Currently on induction. (I lost and kept off over 20 lbs a few years ago, then got off track.)

Your lake house must b wonderful. Jealous!

Morning !
Welcome Liz ! I'm in Texas too...... between Houston and Corpus in a small town. Beautiful weather here last few days !

Cheryl I just shred the cabbage and put it in a pan that I have cooked some BACON in - just dump it in on top of the bacon and bacon grease. Cook medium until wilted and slightly browning. Salt and pepper. super yummy ! Sometimes I cook onions with bacon too.

Oh my gosh, I made a compound butter with all my little herbs from the porch and put it on top of my new york strip last night.........it was fabulous !!! DH said it was OK ... really ??
More for me !

Have a great day guys !

Welcome LC4me do you have a name or would you like us to call you that? Welcome back Deb glad someone is brown Cheryl he has been taking them but hasnt posted any yet I will share when he does. I ate chips and a piece of pizza last night. I knew better but its over and back to normal today with no chips in my house. With my stress level what it is right now I just broke down I just cant have chips in my house. Laura your cabbage sounds yummy. Well everything is still the same I wish it would just move or flood I am really hating the waiting looking out my window all the time. I am going to try and post a video that someone put on facebook not sure it will work. There will be no school again tomorrow while we stay at stage 5. I really am tired mentally at this point but thats life.
