Just a quick !

Glad everyone is doing ok, Misty , yes PICS !! I love new clothes

Last day today, I don't know why , but really super tired yesterday at work........ and then last night sitting here winding down ( 1:30am ) and my back door had glass in top half with the blinds inside ?? KWIM ~~ anyway, something made a shadow across the door ( light on outside ) and went BAM against the door

I have a gun, not afraid to use it either ! Reached for my cell phone and I left it in my car in the garage ! So I got to open the ^&&%&^*& back door and go outside into garage !

Called DH and he said it was prob a huge moth or something flying around the light........... I couldn't sleep for hours.

ok, enough about me > Y'all have a great day !

Hi girls hope all of you are doing well. Pat you will get back at it dont be so hard on yourself we all have times when we struggle. Laura I know you willl laugh about the moth in future years but I expect it was pretty darn scary at the time. Deb I hate flax..hate hate hate the taste. But lots of people love it. Liz how was your weigh in. I love my pole walking and have 7 hours a week of scheduled walking with my group. Cheryl where are you come on out to play Misty hope your doing well. I did go to bootcamp and its crazy but I am going back next Wed again. One girl actually passed out and the had to call the medics to come and get her.. . But I am feeling sore today from all the exercise this week but Friday is my rest day so thats ok. Tomorrow and Sunday have walks at 10:30 for 1.5 hours each. Have a great Friday. Gotta love Fridays!

Hi, Ladies!

You're doing great on the exercise! I need 2 follow your leads. I'm planning 2 walk this moring.

Laura, don't ignore your instincts. I ignored some things like blinds out of place and later figured out someone was breaking in. Fortunately, i never encountered the perv, but he left a calling card on my bed, if u know what i mean . Scary and gross. (I thought the little things like the blind cord out of place were my imagination.) This was years ago when i was an attractive single gal.

Flax can be yuky. I've found Barlean's liquid refrigerated 2 be ok--must buy fresh. When flax goes rancid, it's stinky and yucky. Lately ive been using organic flax meal from Costco--no bad taste. I mix it in full fat, plain Greek Gods yogurt. It's yummy.

Weigh in was encouraging. The scale showed 174.7 w, jammies on. I rounded up 2 b on the safe side. Eating more fat, less protein and low carb seems 2 be working well--Nutritional Ketosis guidelines, but im not blood testing. For ex. I ate about 18 g carbs, 50 g protein, and 120 g fat yesterday.

Yesterday ate:

3 egg cream cheese and chedder omelet
2 bullet proof coffee
Yogurt w flax
Sf jello
Dill pickle spears

Another sunny hot day again today. Finally starting to buy flowers to put in all my pots. put some pepper plants in. Hope they make it, it's still pretty cold at night. Going to do some grilling tonight.

Jo sounds like your getting in alot of great exercise. Our walking group has finally started up with most of the old crew. We all get together after dinner and walk around the lake. Love it makes it's so much fun with others. Now that the ice is gone, is it getting warmer?

Deb what you getting shopping, new clothes? Wtg you skinny thing you. Love it when people you don't know say you look skinny because they don't see you all the time and notice right away.

Pat you'll jump right back once you get back home. I know I'd never be able to stay on plan if I was there either. All the delish food around all the time.

Laura are you all packed and ready to leave? Wow that would of scared me too. The worse thing for me is I only have one door in the cottage if I had to get out. Tks I found the carrot cake recipe. Can't wait to make it. Maybe Sunday morning and take it with me to DS for Mothers Day dessert.

Liz is that your dog in your Avi.Wtg your doing great on your plan too. I use alot of flaxmeal too. I make the muffins alot and some the size of hamburg buns, they are so good.

Cheryl what you doing this weekend. Are you going to the LH? Our weather has been so nice, that I taking full advantage of it. Guess it's supposed to rain tomorrow but that's ok. DH planted some grass seed, so it sure come up fast.

I think Karen is going to join us.

Jo so glad your ice finally broke!
Misty it sounds like you are better. Are you able to eat solids?
Laura your gun story made me chuckle. I hope it was just a moth banging on the door.
Deb what did you get today?
Liz love the doggy. Sounds like the high fat is working for you
Pat seemed like you needed it.

It is cool cloudy rainy every day here. My induction isn't working anymore. Was feeling down but now I just want to figure out what to do next. Help??

Misty happy grilling and I hope your weather keeps good for the new plants

Cheryl induction worked for me for the time I did it but I ended up gaining back 3 pounds going back to real life and I just figure that portion control and workouts is whats good for me....

L/B is happy where he is and we eat good real food so im not going to worry so much about the scale anymore

I bought new dishes..3 pair sun glasses..new contacts..garden tools..and had my rings cleaned and checked... my big diamond was loose so my ring is away at the doctors

we just got a new *target store*..........went there....not impresses

off to a live band at the casino tonight
run in the morning...see ya then

Pat how r u feeling?

Sounds like you had a great shopping say. Good thing you had your ring checked.

I can't exercise. I've done portion control- WW. Calorie counting - 1000 cal / day. Carb counting 20/day. Eating carbs once a day in a balanced way. Diabetic diet. I always get to this point and it stops. So frustrating when 2 years ago it all worked and now it doesn't.

I won't harp on it anymore. Somehow I will figure it out.

We have family visiting. I'm just going to relax and enjoy for their visit.

Hi, Ladies! Happy Saturday!

Yep. That's our dog baby. We adpted him 4 yrs ago. Yeah for flowers, Misty. Pics?

Hope u had fun at the casino and concert, Deb. Always enjoy hearng about fun. 3 pairs of sunglasses? Are you a collector? Pics?

Cheryl, i lost over 30 lbs in 2008 and kept it off until recently when i thought i could eat like everyone else. I did stall for a long time during that period. In retrospect, and in seeing my progress now, im thinking it is important to keep track of everything i eat. Im using an android calorie/fat/carb/protein counter. I am surprised how little it takes til i reach my target limits. All those snacks and big portions i had been eating, even tho technically "legal" per Atkins 72, were excessive. I've had a better experience this time by upping the fat, which seems counterintuitive. Without the fat, i lose control and binge. NK recommends a high % of calories from fat. I've been pleasantly surprised. Of course, everyone is different. But b4 u give up, try tracking everything u eat for a week. It might wrk 4 u too.

I may be scarce this weekend lot's 2 do. Going to a show with the kids Sunday and trying 2 catch up on things i had 2 ignore while recouperating. Have a great weekend.

Just wanted to say Happy Mothers day to all of you! I am so enjoying my day. Going to be wine with supper but I deserve it!!! DH is doing steak on a charcol grill because I love it that way. Youngest son made me an omellete with swiz cheese and green onion and bacon for breakfast. Middle child has promise me a total foot massage with lots of cream when I am ready. Had a great walk today with lots of girls and an long epsom salt soak in the tub. For Mothers day I got 6 sessions with a private training starting in mid June every Saturday until summer vacation. Cheryl I know I am not moving on the scale either but we cant give up. You will figure out what works for you just stay strong! I will catch up tomorrow this is very much a family day here. Do wish I was in NS eatting lobster with the rest of my sisters and mom but we make the best of what life gives us. Happy Mothers day girls

So glad for the happy Mother's Day experiences everyone has had!

We had a nice time. After church we went to a family comedy and magic stage show.

I stayed on target for eating in spite of temptations. I was down 7 pounds this morning!

I'm not going to bore u with food since i eat pretty much the same things every day. I am drinking more water, which makes a big difference.

Walked yesterday and plan to walk again today.

Hi, Karen! I think we used to share in a forum a few years ago. Can't forget the horses.

That would probably be me!!!!!

I planned on gym today, but didn't make it before work, and odds are, I have GS after work and no gym for me. I could go for a walk, but usually end up doing paperwork at home after office.

Had a great day yesterday, DH and GS did all the grilling and us ladies did nothing but talk and relax. Loved it. Did pretty good on the eating, but did have to relax with a few glasses of wine. Got some nice plants from the kids, but now we have a frost warning for the next few nights so had to put some in the shed and the rest are sitting on my counter.

Karen so glad your over here. No gym for me today either, but back there tomorrow. Is your DS all settled in his new home yet? Oh yes almost forgot about your wonderful ice cream machine Can you make frozen yogurt in it?

Jo sounds like you had a great mothers day too. What a nice gifts you got. Where you going for summer vacation?

Deb yummy seafood chowder, haven't made that in a long time.

Cheryl did you go to the LH this weekend?

Pat you must be home from Maui now? How's it going ?

Just got back from the gym, just didn't feel like going this morning but I made it and am glad I did. Did great on plan eating yesterday. B-fried eggs and bacon, L-2 tuna salad roll ups, D-grilled porkchops, with grill zucchini and summer squash. Even fit in a SF jello mousse.

Laura so glad your having a great time, you both need it with all the work you do Bet Allie's having a fun time too.

Liz wtg on the 7lbs that's great. Your right I think drinking alot of water helps so much. I'm a big water drinker anyway, but If I drink less I bloat right up.

Cheryl where are you, hope everything is ok.
