April already?

I am off today with DD23 - post office for passport, doc appt and we were supposed to visit the jeweler for her wedding band, but they are closed today! GRRRRRR! Now we need to set up a special appointment for a Saturday she is home.

Kaye - thoughts and lots of prayers for DH - better to get it done and over with! How are DD's doing?

MK -you back yet?

Beautiful day here but cold. The week shows warmer temps coming our way!

Work day. Think we will see DS30 and his little family after. It will make a late night for little Bella.

DS21's GF posted two videos of Bella on FB yesterday.

Better get ready!!

Enjoy your day off with your daughter Cindy.

I am off with DH tomorrow.

morning!

Lovely weekend - I kind of saw the kids ~ but it was much too hectic!
I take DS20 back to the train today and hopefully pick up the dog - and hope he's OK . . . it was rough getting him to the kennel . . . more later on that.

so skipping exercise to get everything done.

But I probably lost weight this weekend - does EVERYTHING have to have cheese??
I even skipped dinner out with everyone on Saturday night because it was a pizza place - supposedly gourmet, but the only salads were a side salad, dinner salad or Caesar. Um . . . no.

Anyway - so much to comment on, but on a tight morning schedule - BBL!

Hi Debbie!!

He is much better than when we took him!
He's so old and his back legs just collasped last week.
I think it was just too much walking through the snow.

i hope!

Anyway - again, gotta run to get to a meeting -
but I had to show you my great sandals!!!

Hi!
Copper is doing better. Whew.
I think a few days in a confined area with no stairs was good for him.
I'm so tired of worrying about him all the time!

DS20's train was 2 hours late and DH had already left - I should have looked it up before we left this morning!

He was fine, he just had to wait at the train station for the 2 hours until it got there.
Luckily there is a Subway so he didn't starve!

Glad everyone had a good Easter!

Kaye -

Please check in and give updates so we know what to pray for and when!

Cindy - Yikes!!

Debbie - I need to watch the videos! They didn't work on my phone . . . driving through the middle of nowhere . . . late at night!

Remind me if I tell you all I am taking a day off with DD23 that I should only take a half day........we didn't leave the house till 11:30!

I did get a few things done around here - cleaned out my drawers and am getting rid of a ton of sweaters and other clothes I didn't wear this winter. Put away a few rugs I only put out in the winter and swept all the sand and dirt. This weekend I am going to scrub my floor after I buy one of those buckets with the squeezer outer thingy.

DD and I had lunch, ran a few errands and then got her passport taken care of - not sure if I told you but she and DF are going to France and Germany for their honeymoon, compliments of his parents.

MK - Hope Copper is ok. You probably had a whirlwind weekend. Cute shoes - I have some kind of similar that I just got for this year too - by Bandolino.

DH and I are pooped from the weekend - he's home, I'm making salads for dinner and we are starting season 3 of The Walking Dead.

Cindy, we always seem to be slow getting out of the house when we have extra people. I know how you feel waiting on your DD.
What a great wedding gift from your FSIL's parents! Will your DD23 change her last name after the wedding or keep hers? Since passports are good for 10 years, if she changes will she do the name change by mail later?

MK, glad to hear Copper is doing a little better. Its so hard when our animal family gets older.

Debbie, thanks for sharing the videos. She is such a cutie! Loved watching her play with her lambie.

Jenn, hope your day finally came together.

Becky,

Kaye, pop in and let us know how everyone is doing. Prayers for your DH AND for YOU! Hang in there!

Funny you should ask that Kelly - typically people don't! Did you think she might not? Well, she is not changing her name. She says she is who she is and is not taking on her husband's name. Plus business wise, her name flows, lol. I'm kind of proud of her for that.

Holy moly! Work was beyond busy. The best part was coming home to DS30,Mirsa and Bella. They just left. They did laundry here and there was a lot and it was all Isabella's.

My mood was lousy at work but that was swept away the minute I saw my sweet grandbaby.

Cindy, what a nice honeymoon.

MK, I love the sandals. I need brown ones.

I wonder when we will have sandal weather.

Kelly, hope your new running shoes felt great. I need new ones. We might go tomorrow.

Jenn, you must be exhausted from the Easter weekend. Your kids must be home all week.

Cindy,I could see keeping your name when you have a business. It is easier not having to change everything.

I have had an allergic reaction to something, and have had some issues on my forehead and the side of my face and now this morning am all swelled up in my brow area. I did pull out my piercing I was having trouble with last Friday and my ear looks terrible , but I don't think it's that......I tried some tea tree oil about a week ago on some spots I wanted to dry out and I think that is what it is....it's right in the same spot. GRRRRRR!

Off to a long day at work - late night plus have a meeting at 9.

Thanks Debbie - I thought they were beautiful!

Morning!

My allergies have been acting up something fierce. Very congested and coughing from the congestion. The area where we live has a lot of cottonwood and it does this to me every time.

Kids are currently at IL's. Yea! They will be home tomorrow though, and I'm taking them to a place called O'Doodle Doo's. They make fresh, homemade doughnuts daily. They are only open 5-2. Their flavors change daily, too. For example, here are today's flavors: Blueberry Tart, Sour Cream Old Fashion, Lady Bug, Apple Crumb Cake, Sprinkle, Black and White, Cheesecake, Raspberry Tea Cake, Maple Bacon, German Chocolate, Red Velvet, Cherry Sherbet, Powder, Chocolate Bavarian Cream, and more!! I've had a doughnut from there before, but I've never been to the store. Excited to go!

Not feeling quite as blah as yesterday, but still don't want to do anything! lol! I need to go to the grocer, but it's a big trip and I just don't feel like doing it!

Will try and pop in later!

Jenn, glad you are getting a kids break.

Cindy, try an antihistamine like Zyrtec. Maybe hydrocortisone to skin. Is ear infected? If so see the doctor.

I fight with my skin. I really need to see the allergist be use the dermatologist told me this long ago. I just procrastinate.

I just read work email and see I have another self study to accomplish and an inservice to get to tomorrow or Thursday.

I also emailed our manager to come talk about the craziness I have been going through in my minor illness area. The acuity is too much for one nurse. I handle 10 patients but 5 of them being admissions is close to mpossible. Add no breaks and no support and I am beyond stressed. I want to quit but there aren't jobs that give me the same pay and flexibility. I would have to go back to full time to make the same money. I will do some job searching today too. My resume isn't saved in my computer. I can't find it. I need to remedy that too.

DH is home.

No where to go but running store(maybe).

I have plenty of work on the computer so better get moving.

Running tonight. Need it bad to de-stress.

Morning!

Cindy - good for DD! DD26 always said she would keep her name, especially if she was already established with it.

And yes, getting out of the house with another person is hard!!

Nice wedding present!!

My sandals are by Madden Girl - very comfy!

Have you been allergic before? Glad you got the piercing out!!

We have a Cherry Berry opening this week - anyone have one of those? They supposedly have some dairy free sorbet, so I might actually be able to try it!

Jenn - I'm just drippy, but I have been for months. Claritin and Flonase don't seem to be able to do it!

Debbie - glad Isabella made your day better!! The sandals are really comfy and supporting!

Kaye - ???? Update!!

Kelly - you can almost talk about the weather . . . almost!

Becky -

It seems like the last few weddings we have been to the bride has changed her name, but it does seem to vary by profession. A friend just last week was telling me she sometimes regrets not having changed her name, but that was 20 years ago, so too late now. It can make sense either way, I just wondered.

Debbie, I love my new running shoes! They felt great yesterday!
Isabella is such a cutie, I'm sure she would make any day better.

Jenn, hope you feel better soon. Allergies can make you absolutely miserable!
The donut store sounds really fun!

MK, the sandals are very cute! (forgot to tell you that)
DS19 is getting snow again, so he reminded me again that that weather is not open for discussion. Our worst weather months are May/June, so while you are all enjoying your spring we'll have gray/overcast foggy skies.

Kelly - but will the gray/overcast skies be with 70° weather?

It might get to 45° today, but still too windy to be comfortable, even with all the sun!

MK-Because there is very little humidity, it always feels colder without the sun. But, it will be mostly in the 60's for May/June. Yesterday it was in the high 60's and I overheard tourists complaining that it was cold. (of course they might have been from Az. where its always hot for all I know) Its, of course, colder in the winter, but we're really spoiled and like our sunshine.

Oh Cindy, I hope it works. That's awful!!

I'm glad I'm entertaining you Kelly!!!

So, I walked 4 minutes, ran 1 minute, repeated for 30 minutes. I was wiped out when I was done but now I want to do it again. Lol. I honestly can't believe I'm doing this!!! And sticking to my eating plan. Tomorrow is weigh in. with Easter.... Pre Easter earlier in the week where I practice celebrating. Lol. I got Back with it yesterday tho!

Debbie, someday I hope to run beside Kim. Even of it is just for a few minutes!

Gotta run... Not literally either. I'm pooped!

I have no clue - I got up this morning with the thought if I am not swelled up or itchy, I will not take the prendisone. I was still itchy and swelled up again. So weird. The good thing is my ear, after one application of the ointment, seems to be in better shape. So, I will start the prendisone this morning.

Anyone ever take short rounds of steroids? I will do 3 days of 3 pills, 2 days of 2 and then one pill on the final day.

Becky - that is awesome you are doing so well!!! Proud of you!

DD has always said she would never change her name and she hasn't changed her mind. I guess I raised a strong, independent woman,

Kelly - I would take grey skies and 70. It is just not warming up here. However, the birds are chirping up a storm outside this morning, so I can't think spring is far behind.

Off to work today - I don't think I have anything on my calendar other than lunch with a good friend - she only has a half hour so we will meet in our commons/cafeteria area right at work.

Morning!

Another quick pop in. DH just left to go out for work (he's usually home...drives me crazy), so I'm going to try and get some things done around here.

Donuts were fun and delicious! I ate too much, but it was oh so good! These are the flavors the kids and I had today (and no, I didn't eat all of these! lol!): Banana Pudding, Lemon Drop, Blueberry Pancake Bacon, Red Velvet, Double Chocolate, Baby Ruth, and Cookie Monster. The kids requested we go back frequently! hahaha

Cindy-hope your ear feels better!

Becky-WTG! That is awesome!

Kelly-I don't mind overcast as long as the weather temperature is nice

Debbie-it is nice to have a break! Enjoy your run!

MK-I've never heard of Cherry Berry. What is it?

Off to get some things done!
