UGH, Monday!
We were slow getting going this morning. Although I did run with my friend, we've moved away from the c25k at this point and we're slowly making our way there. (we were at the point where it jumped from one mile to two) This morning we ran 1.25, walked a half mile and then ran another mile. We both think we can go further on the first interval, so Wednesday we'll run 1.5 then end the same as today and keep adding a half mile at a time until we are running 3 miles.

Cindy, our kids always come first don't they. You will be busy with wedding stuff for a while I'm sure.
I'm sure you're DD is adorable pregnant. I love little people books, its so fun to shop for them!

Thanks Becky! It should have said we are adding a quarter of a mile each time we go up, not half, but still...
Of course, the navy is moving my friend that I'm running with this summer. Maybe I can convince DS19 to go slow with me. He did say he would hike with me all summer, so we'll drag DS15 along and it should be a lot of fun and we'll all be in great shape from the ups and downs on the trails.

Gray Puffball loves to run and roll in the mornings, its too funny EXCEPT when she trips me because I didn't expect her to run between my feet or pounce at me from under something.

MK, did you take Merlin on your walk? How did he do for his first time out with you? He has such a sweet face.

Kelly - I'm so impressed with your progress!!

The walk was a bit long for him! He had to stop and rest twice!
But he made it and maybe he'll sleep well tonight!

Waiting for a full Merlin report!
Is he a black lab, MK? Mix? Details!
I am sure some good exercise will help since he is still a pup!

Kelly - I admire you for hanging tough with this running adventure. My knees couldn't take it.

Work was insane and I had to stay late - I get comp time though. Today is the registration that was SUPPOSED to be capped at 60 and our Call Center overrode and now there are 90!

I bought TWO more books!!!! Olivia Saves the Circus and Madeleine! They were both favorites of the girls!

Today is my late day and may be later due to registration - UGH. I mail the wedding invites today! So glad to get that off my plate!

So much happening with my favorite ladies!

MK, Condolences on Copper and congratulations on Merlin!
Sometimes you need some time when you lose a long lived and loved pet, other times getting a new member of the family right away is the right thing.
When we lost Spyke at 15, it was so hard not seeing the food bowl in the kitchen. The very next day we saw an ad for another Boston Terrier two streets away. Had never seen a Boston advertised in that local paper, and never had since. It was fate. Little Prince lived a long and happy 14 years with us. It's not like you're 'replacing' a pet, because no other dog will ever be like the one you lost, but having lots of love to give and wanting a friend to share it with.

Cindy, you can share all your happy Gramma news here away from all the eyes of Facebook. Hope the 'rent visit went well and your pup seems better today. Glad the dress fittings went well!

Speaking of dresses, Youngest announced last night that she wants to go to prom with a group of friends this Saturday (no boy date, but a group of girls and guys, a good way to do it IMO) BUT that means we need to find a dress for her on short notice. Going to hit 'Deb' at the mall as well as the Goodwill and Consignment circuit today hoping to find something appropriate and not too expensive.

Deb, your barbecue will be wonderful, 30 is a lot of people! Sorry your niece's husband thought he was getting out, then not!

Becky, Glad you found a new phone for your mom, hard to find a 'simple' one that is easy to just make calls and text without extra 'stuff'. I'm still using an ancient flippy phone I've have for a decade. I have the cheapest plan on the planet and don't want to upgrade and lose my $10 a month plan!

Kelly, congrats on going farther and farther! Impressed! Some days I'm lucky if I just walk to my mailbox.

Jenn, Hope you had a great day. I know this time of year with elementary aged kids is always so busy, all the assemblies, awards, parties, 'field days', recitals, and all can get so crazy!

My patient continues to improve and is feeling better each day. His incision looks great and he's healing well. Being careful what he eats to keep things smoothly moving, though he still feels things get 'stuck', but it's still healing. He's feeling up to doing more, but need to keep him from doing too much and setting himself back. Not easy!
Still getting 'So, what are WE doing today?' and now oldest is finished with her college semester, she's here all the time too!

Our new baby chicks were born last Monday and we got them on Tuesday! They're adorable little yellow fluff balls, but already doubled in size in a week and growing fast! They're 'Buff Orpingtons' that will be a light brown chicken that lays light brown eggs. They say an existing flock will accept ones that don't look very different better, so hoping they'll mix with my brownish Ameraucanas later this summer.

So cute!

My patient is awake and I need to make him some food.
Have a good Tuesday all! We have thunderstorms rolling in so going to post before I lose signal!
Hugs all around.

Finally, a day off!

Busy over the last week. Company all left Sunday. Race was a success. Worked the last two days. Today is my semi lazy day. Still have a lot to do.

Just read posts for what? 3 days!

MK, love Merlin!! He looks like a black lab to me. If he is already trained to walk on a leash that is great. Is he house broken?
Terrible your sons roommates parents didn't come.

Our kids always come first too.

Cindy, your daughter will probably be one of those pregnant women who go home and right back into their regular clothes. Have you seen Princess Kate? Barely looks pregnant.

Jenn, glad you are back. I won't be racing Labor Day in Va. I have to work.

Kelly, are you planning on a 5K? Pick a goal race. Check out local running clubs for group un. People of all paces run.

Becky, you can walk that 5K. Or you can walk run. We have a great beginning women's program. Their goal race was my first 5K.

Kaye, hope your hubby is getting stronger(and needing you less).

DS21(almost 22) moves May 8. It is the day before his birthday. Was supposed to be May1 but apartment not ready. Good thing because GFs grandma died and she is off to Indiana.

DS30 still house hunting. Mirsa graduates Sunday.

DS28, not much happening there. He is exploring job options as his current job may end if they lose the contract. I still need a dress for the wedding.

We have wedding for friends Saturday. Will be a busy weekend.

I need to get my butt moving!!!!!!

Good morning-

I have a full day of meetings today, one of them overlaps yoga, so I would rather go to yoga.

DS19 will be home 2 weeks from tomorrow!!! (I'm not counting the days or anything )

Kaye, I always think your youngest DD would get along well with DS15 and his friends. (she's the one that likes anime and gaming, right?)
Good luck dress shopping.
Glad your patient is continueing to heal. My DH would drive me (& himself) crazy if he couldn't get up and move and go to work.

Love the chick pics! They are so cute!

Debbie, I don't have a goal race picked, but I do have a non-running goal in mind. I want to hike and when DS19 was home over spring break we did a "moderately difficult" (he said easy, but it was NOT easy) hike and I wimped out halfway up the "hill" (its actually a small mountain) Anyway, I want to make it to the top for the photo op and then try harder hikes from there.

Cindy, I'm sure you're crazy busy at work with kids like DS19 that had problems registering for fall.

MK, basically what Cindy said, I'm sure the walk was really good for Merlin.

Jenn, hang in there the school year is almost over!

Becky, is today your "Jenny" day?

Kelly, tomorrow is my Jenny day.

Making skyline chili for dinner, gonna put it over spaghetti for John and the girls.

Kim has one client today and one tomorrow. Girls have a dad day tomorrow too.

Can't wait to see the invitations, Cindy. And pictures of the mommy-to-be.

Going to take a short nap, or at least rest a bit and then get up at 2 to mow grass.

Becky, I made zucchini noodles last week for me and I really like them. (I just used my peeler and cut it into strips leaving the core with the seeds behind, and then I boiled them in a little salt water for about 3 mins and drained and yummy!)

I bought zucchini to do that but never did. Grilled it on skewers Saturday.

Went to grocery. Wrote and sent my thank you email to the club list serve.

Took a nap.

Definitely a lazy day.

DH in Atlanta forvthe day. Coming back tonight. He took a really early flight.

Hi!

Play date for Merlin today at the dog park.
We're both tired!

Debbie - she's so adorable!! Love the front of the house!!
Merlin walks pretty well on a leash. He is housebroken, but I'm still taking him out every couple of hours. Just in case!

Kelly - yummy!
Did you go to yoga?
You're going to be in such good shape when DS gets home!

Becky - can't wait to hear about Jenny!

Kaye - the chicks are so cute!! Glad your patient is doing well. Get him a jigsaw puzzle or something!

Cindy - Merlin is a Coonhound/Lab mix. He's 50.5lbs and 6 months old!
Great books!! Don't forget some board books!!

Isabella loves Madeleine. One night she woke my son up at 4am wanting Madeleine.

My husbands cousin just brought her a second Madeleine book.

Had a great run. Need to eat dinner.

Tomorrow I need to color my hair and remake all the guest beds.

Thursday is hair and brow day. They are coming to seal our driveway. We have had done once I think. My neighbor called to see if we could get a deal if we do it the same day. It is the least expensive home improvement we have done.

Debbie, I colored my hair re day before we left for TX and it needs done again... 2 weeks!!! This is ridiculous but I did the natural thing already and I felt so bad about myself so I color... And color... And color!

MK, if I had a dog it would be a lab, after knowing hunter for the past 10 years, I'm convinced they are one of the best dogs there could be!!! We had a border collie when I was little and I loved that dog too. If anything ever happened to John, I definitely would get a dog, for sure. Not only for protection but also for companionship!

I will have to catch you all up with my latest wedding drama when I have time. Let's just say nothing seems to be easy with this wedding - this episode was about me mailing invites at po yesterday.

Then work was absolutely insane. I was in bed at 8:30 - didn't hear DH come to bed.

I love Merlin MK.
You all should check out DD23's new venture with rescue dogs - posted a link on my FB page.

Debbie - I Isabella - she is adorable! Love your front walk too!

Kaye - glad things are going well - chicks are sweet and I KNOW you will find something magnificent for DD!

Hi to Kelly, Becky, Jenn........I have to get going early today - need to be in early, and then dinner out at a great new restaurant with DD, her BFF and her Mom tonight!

Is there a new month? I didn't see the thread!

Today is exercise, grocery, bank, long dog walk . . . . and i really should visit my mom . . . .

Cindy - you are NOT having an easy time with this wedding! Love to see the invites if you can take a pic, and can't wait to hear the story.

I really need to get my day started. Watched Smash on NBC ap.

Hair color awaits.

Cindy, wedding drama will happen here too I am sure. I want to have input but then again I don't. It is her day!! Hard being the mom of the groom.

MK, your dog is great. House broken, leash trained wow. I guess still could be in the chewing phase.

Good morning-

I woke up super early with a dozen things going through my mind, got up wrote them down and went back to sleep. Sometimes that's the only way to go back to sleep without worrying about something I might have forgotten.
It was about the same time that DS15 got up for his last early morning workout of the school year and he thought he was in trouble or I needed him to do something or whatever...

I'll BBL, I need to push him along to school.

Becky - Congrats!!!!

Kelly - did he make it to school?

Debbie - Definitely harder being mom of the groom! You don't get an opinion on anything unless the mom of the bride includes you!

He's definitely in the chewing stage - but just on toys. I've thrown away 4 today!
