Yup that's the one were doin.

That road is trolled by stater patrol now. I wouldn't dare speed on it lol. Sounds like you had some fun times out at Bangor.

Yeah the dirty is more of a fun run, we're still trying to figure out costumes.

Hello Guys,

I'm a noob to this site and this bbs. Weight chart:

Current weight - 386.6
Total lost for the month - 3
All time high - 402
Total pounds from high - 13.4

I will fill in more details in future posts. What brings me here is an er visit with a week long hospital stay for a first time diagnosis of CHF. I am an insulin dependent Type 2 diabetic. I take more meds then any one human being should be allowed to take. I am currently using a modified Atkins diet. For exercise I am riding a stationary bicycle increasing my ride time by a minute each day, today's ride was 11 minutes. I'm hoping to force myself to stay with the plan.

Welcome dude! Be sure to post lots of questions and check in often. Take each day one at a time and you'll be there before ya know it! Take a look at swimming too. I've started within the few months and am loving it compared to cycling/running. Super low impact and good for ya too.

Kinda been a disaster weekend for me. Had a good friends master's grad party last night, and my fiance's birthday/father's day today, so eating went off the tracks.

Back on tomorrow.

Good news is that before I started the carb/sugar loading, the fi and I got in a 3 mile run this morning, and we're about to head out for a short easy bike ride tonight. Planning on strength training tomorrow, and a hopefully a super low carb day.

Gotta get myself back on plan, 46 days till we leave for the wedding.

Doing pretty well here. Had a good week, went a bit overboard last night, but that was the only bad day. Feel like I'm still down a few for the month, wost case holding steady. Hope everyone is doing well.

Welcome SaintsLair.

Thanks for the welcome.

Starting weight on the boards:
6/14/13 - 386.6
6/17/13 - 381.4
Difference 5.2 lbs so far.
Stationary bike 15 mins today.
FBS - 107

Enjoyed Father's Day with my dad and my two sons. Stayed low carb all day Sunday. bunless cheeseburger, sausage, lo carb pasta salad, low carb coleslaw. Felt good keeping the weekend in check. That is usually my downfall.

Hey guys I guess I should introduce myself here. Been doing Keto since April 1st. My current weight is unknown (i'm doing this totally off scale for one year, long story ) my goal weight is 225. Since I won't be doing daily weigh ins, I'll try to contribute with my workout plans etc

Another newbie! Nice to see our ranks growing again. Welcome and stop by often.

Update from me; did a triple yesterday (lifted on the graveyard shift, swam 1600 yards in the morning and did a 18.6 mile ride yesterday night). Took today off, and am planning on a swim/ride tomorrow. Have the dirty dash on Saturday which will be my race for the month.

Been working on my blog a lot. CSS is new to me so the learning curve is pretty steep. Have a new theme and so far I'm loving it. Need to work on my logo. I welcome suggestions and or advice on this stuff. Blogging is a new world for me.

Welcome FLFG. After regaining a bunch of weight early last year, I finally got my act together in the fall, stuck to plan and dropped quite a bit staying off the scale the whole time. It definitely has its advantages. The scale has been a great motivator for me in the past, but it can also lead to a roller coaster ride for emotions. Whatever works for you is the key.

So I'm all about triathlon lately, and am training for my first sprint in September. In an effort to learn as much as I can ASAP I'm devouring podcasts like crazy. In the latest one from the Triathlon Training Podcast, they interview Joe Friel (triathlon god, and pretty much the top dude in the WORLD in the tri science/training community), and he talks about Paleo and tri training. While most of us don't do Paleo, it IS a form of low carb and I found it pretty interesting.

I myself am considering going on Paleo for a lot of the reasons he states, however I'm worried about slowing weight loss.

Here is a link so you can listen to the episode if ya want.

I have mud in places I didn't think was possible........

We ran the Dirty Dash today with a good chunk of our bridal party. Had a blast doing it and am already panning on doing it next year. As always you know where you can find more pics and a the full recap.

Went off diet today, but I figured I deserved a few beers after that mud hole.

Weigh-in

Thursday 5/16/2013: 244.0
Monday 5/27/2013: 230.5
Monday 6/03/2013: 230.4
Monday 6/10/2013: 226.6
Monday 6/17/2013: 226.4
Monday 6/24/2013: 224.0

Welcome FLFG! After gaining 44 of the 80 pounds I lost I came back May 16 - the gain won't happen again - I'm sure of that this time. I do not do daily weigh-ins either rather each Monday-its just a way to keep me on track.

CTIgrad - looks like y'all had fun - that's what its all about

Hi guys! As you know I was diagnosed type 2 diabetic On June 3. Here's what I've been up to:

UPDATE:
It's been about 4 weeks and I've been kicking butt and taking names. My blood glucose numbers now are really good, seeing as I was in the ER at 415 A1c 13.6 On June 3.

Today my average of readings is 123.0 (including a 96 reading after my workout) I've had 4 days straight under 150 average, the last 3 days straight under 140, the last 2 days under 130.

My running average of daily averages is 145.1 (highest day 163, lowest day today 123)

I've lost 6+ pounds. Down to 258.

Since diagnosis type 2, I went hard core LCHF <20 carbs Atkins Induction, added 30-40 minutes on my Nordic track ski machine, added some coconut oil to whatever I'm cooking, and the last couple days started drinking a tsp of cinnamon in a glass of water. On Metformin 2000mg now.
