WOE: My way mixing it low carb
I add butter to a lot of foods too. We always stop on the way to Texas at an Amish cheese store and buy about 10# of butter and various cheeses. There is nothing better !

Nice to have so many induction buddies.

Hiding in the basement. Having a tornado outbreak. It's already been at the lake but I think it went south of the lake house. Headed our way now.

WOE: No sugar or flour/LC my way
Start Date: Feb 17, 2014
This has been some week with Boston and now the explosion in West Tx....and I am a West Tx gal except I am from Midland Tx Where both of my sons live now...and the rest of my family are from Euless Tx...Have been to Waco....I do live in AZ now...but my heart is at home in Tx..too Praying for all...
Staying to the simple menus .....I bought chicken breast, pork chops, ground beef, Lg pork roast and ribeyes for the grill.....shrimp and fresh fish....cheeses, garden salad fixings...I use a lot of garlic powder or garlic, butter, Mrs..Dash...Low carb. veggies....I use Garden Vegetable cream cheese, sour cream....Induction doesn't have to be plain...I try to stay as low carb as possible but if I go alittle higher I still know I am on track for me ....I drink water and Ice tea with lots of ice...Sorry I want give up my sweet and low...LOL...Now it is just up to just making up recipes as I go along that work....

I do well when I just make sure I have no flour and sugar...and when I have others around that are doing the same I do wonderful... So I am glad I found you all here...

Cheryl that sounds just scary I am so glad you are safe. I think I rather live with the cold and ice. Maybe its whatever you get use to. Makes me think of the wizard of oz That explosion in Texas sound awful, its been a bad week for sure. Lady your shopping list sounds alot like mine. Laura glad to see you and can see why your sad , that is close to home. Deb WTG looks like this is going to work for you. I love ground pork patties on the BBQ. Garlic it up and a little bit of sugar free BBQ sauce. Top it off with mustard and dill pickle slices It also makes good meatballs and you control what you put in either way. Or both since you have 2 lbs but 2 lbs doesnt go far in my house and if your both eating induction you could use that no problem. Fact is I love ground pork or any other kind of pork too. Porktenderloin for us tonight cooked up with mushrooms and a salad. So sorta starch for the guys. I was bad last night and I hope it doesnt ruin my week but I felt weird and knew I needed something and my body said it was popcorn so I popped a pot in coconut oil and covered it in butter and salt and it made me feel better. But in truth I know it was the salt I needed and a cup of broth would of done the same thing but I shared it with my three guys and enjoyed and if thats the worse thing I do this week I should be ok. In my mind I was doing well the high fat will counteract the carbs even though in my brain I knew that wasnt true. I do make popcorn most Saturday nights for us all to watch movies and have a little but not normally any other night. I had been feeling weird all day and kept drinking more water but I know now it was the salt. But today I am good so all is well. Cheryl I think you should just move into the basement for the summer then I will feel safer.

So low carb as best I can....

Jo- wizard of oz they wanted to build an amusement park a few years back and it was going to be called the Land of Ahhhs. I love my basement. It's one of the reasons we moved here a few years ago. It has a bedroom, bath and family room so we can sit or sleep in comfort. I always put the pets in carriers in the bathroom. We have our little routines for the season.

I've never had pork patties.

I'm watching the hunt for the second suspect in the Boston bombing.

Goodmorning.....finally weighed ....down 4lbs.....I will take it..

Planning to stay close to home too for us this weekend...since we just got home from vacation....DH is working on backyard laying some new bricks around the pool and I am trying to do something with the plants around his new pond in the corner of the yard...so we will be busy and just some relaxing...going to get back up into the
90s this weekend...

Received a new photo of my youngest grandson on FB this morning with Daddys new partner that travels with him on the road in the construction business in Tx...lol His new baby French Bulldog...she is named Peaches....Grandson (3yrs) and Peaches were asleep together...so cute...

Started my day with leftover porkchop, egg salad, slice of cantaloupe...
