Love it!

I keep telling myself that I don't really care if the scale bounces around as long as I'm continuing to get smaller and I did dip into more of my smaller clothes and have been wearing them since the weekend. Hiding the scale sounds like a really good idea... I'm always afraid that I'll miss that *one* low day and I want to record that low even if it doesn't stick... which makes no logical sense whatsoever!

Monica, have fun at book club! Please do let us know how you like the new book!

Went over my cals by 100 yesterday on my UD - Ooops!
Feeling very bloated this morning but also super positive about having a good DD.
At work all day today and armed with melon, yogurt & a banana and 2 ltrs of water.

Right now though all I want to do is fall asleep at my desk. Not having Wednesday off this week has absolutely floored me x

Happy Friday Ladies!!! Now all I have to do is make it through these 8 hours of work!!

Tami I do the same thing.... if I see it I claim it! LOL makes no sense but I do it also.

Gina- Here's to a great DD. I am dragging today as well hope I can keep my eyes open in this long meeting I am about to attend. I dont think upper management would approve of me sleeping during a very important budget meeting.

Gina - going over 100c no big deal! Go with it girl! You are rocking this thing!

Liz - the book is Poison Princess by Kresley Cole. I am anxious to get it started, I have to wait though, I have a book I am almost done with. I CAN read 2 at a time, but I don't prefer to! I'll let you know how it goes.

It's FRIDAY! I had the day from H E L L at work yesterday. Sometimes I wonder what my boss thinks or if he does. SUCH IS, he is MALE! Today will be better. I told myself that while I lay awake last night fretting about it all! GRRRRR It's almost the weekend, that is what I will focus on.

Enjoy the day girls!

That sort of made up for my crap-tastic week!

Help

Hi, everyone!!

I have a reality check question on the publisher/editor situation.

My attorney says they are absolutely stuck on 5k and asks if I want to take it. He is willing to go ahead and file the lawsuit (on his dime), and eventually we will get much more.

The publisher/author is exploiting me, the EV community, and the public. My attorney says this editor is a repeat offender, so whatever wrist-slap he got last time must have emboldened him to try to get away with it again.

On the other hand, I'm sort of in a financial pickle. Without getting into a lot of details, me and Gav are really struggling right now. I'm losing my car, if that tells you anything.

What do you think? Am I being unrealistic to want to really stick it to the bad guys? Should I take the money and run, or tough it out?

Votes, please!

Lynne

That is a tough situation girl . Is there any other money source you can go to to help your immediate need? Any other way to save the car? I ask because this would be extra money that your weren't planning on before the book came out, right? We call that gravy money at my house , money we aren't expecting . Does that make sense? My point is IF you can manage without the $5K, then proceed forward and stick it to them big time with the law suit. Dang them for screwing people and then refusing to pay justly. You , and all authors, deserve better than that.

I'm behind you whichever you choose. A family has to eat so sometimes principles have to be set aside. I'm sorry you are going through all of this. Bad situation either way you go. I'm sure they will drag a law suit out forever too, which doubly stinks!!!

Aw, Lynne, that is a tough one. Like, Monica, I am totally supportive in whatever you choose. If push comes to shove and you need the money, take it. It stinks that he's gotten away with this before, but sometimes there's only so much any of us can do and you and Gavin are my first concern.

I'm thinking I would be able to live with myself taking the money I needed to get by, but would you? Would you have accepted $5,000 for that content before the book was published?

Still no Danielle, huh?

Hope you all have better a better week this week. Can't believe it's Sunday already! Hubby took this next week off. It was a use it or lose it vacation time scenario, so he'll be home knocking around the house with me. Doggie started on new meds today that have the potential for some nasty side effects. So far so good, but I'm not sure I'll be wanting to venture too far away from him until he has a blood draw in a week. Hubs usually wants to go out in his jeep but wondering if I can get him to go for a drive in my van so we can take giant dog with us so I won't have to worry about him? We'll see. I have a feeling we'll both just be home driving each other crazy for the week! lol

Tami enjoy your week with your hubby home.

This week WILL BE BETTER for me. I may have more stress, boss is gone WThF, but then I won't have the stress of him HERE. Does that make sense? I will be in charge, but won't have to worry about him. It should be good! My weekend was good. Friday's DD wasn't the best, yesterday's was better. DS14 weighed in and is down another 3 pounds so 12 pounds gone for him. He was really happy and so was I. His DD Friday was not down at all with a sleepover at a friends and pizza, yesterday was better. He is really hoping to lose another 15 or so I think. I told him I am so proud of him.

Hope everyone is set for a good week.

Danielle- where are you girl??? thinking of you!

Lynne - anything new?

Gina - how are the JUDDD rotations going???

Liz - how are you and yours??

Hey Monica after a bit of a slip up I've decided to do 4:3
UDs being: Friday, Saturday, Monday & Wednesday
DDs being: Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday
We have too many impromptu guests on a Friday & Saturday to make proper rotation work, I know doing it this way I'll see slower weight loss but I want this to be something I can do long term.

So all in all ended up having 3 UDs together then a DD yesterday & I've lost 1lb on the scales this morning.

Having a lovely sunny Bank Holiday so I'm sitting out in the garden whilst Wayne works on the bike.

Loving my life right now xx

Monica, the boss situation makes perfect sense! Hope it all goes smoothly! And how cool for DS! I bet he is just thrilled with his success!

Gina, congrats on another pound gone! Sounds like you've got your JUDDD rotations figured out and working for you. I love it! We have to be able to live and enjoy our lives

Speaking of enjoying life... I finally went to darts with the hubby. I'm really not a bar person and would be much happier if they played dart league in the park or something. lol. But it wasn't bad. Everyone was pleasant and I had a good time. One of the regulars said that hubby & I are 'soooo cute' whatever that means. lol I thought it was funny. He knows all of these people, but I had never met them. Always kind of awkward, but it was fine. I did have three vodka & waters and added my own Mio, so wasn't toooo bad for the diet. I'm up a pound, but the scale has been bouncing anyway, so 189 after three drinks doesn't upset me much

Lynn- I agree with the other ladies...if you need the money to get by take it. I would hate to see you suffer in hopes to get more money. The worst part is you dont know if you will get more. Now if you can get by with out it, I say stick it to that man he needs to pay.

Monica- enjoy the boss free time!! I agree it is easier when someone isn't breathing down your back.

Tami - Hope the Hubs enjoys his week off and also best of luck with the new meds. I know you have to be on pins and needles waiting for the new blood work. I am praying it all pans out for the pup.

Gina - We all have to find what works for us, if you are still losing weight and can maintain that life style then rock out!! Good luck

As for me I hit the 25 lb mark last week and I have been at a stall since and even went up a pound today it is so frustrating. Yesterday I started tracking my food calories and carbs so we will see. I do need to learn to look at the positive I have lost 25 lbs in 2 months but man when the stalls hit it really gets me down. I was pretty mad yesterday because I just knew I was gonna see a loss bc I finally had a BM. When I was still at the same weight I just wanted to say screw it and eat whatever. Funny part was I didn't want anything bad I MAKE NO SENSE SOMETIMES!!!! I just want to see ONEderland Sorry for the rant ladies!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine went way to fast and with two little ones fighting off a cold it was a trying weekend. I feel like I came to work for a break

Sorry for the frustration Liz. Maybe you shouldn't weigh everyday? I get crazy when I do that. I know it's not for everyone, but it works better for me. Just a thought.

Tami - that sounds like a perfect drink to have while out. I may USE THAT!!!!!!!

Gina - hope you enjoyed your holiday!

It's Tuesday, not near close enough to FRIDAY!
