Morning. Down another pound this week. I was hoping for 2 since I added in runs and didn't use my flex points. I think I'm one of those who just doesn't lose while I'm breast feeding. I might lower my daily points a tad this week

Dh is off today and Kyle has school. I'm going to run and relax. I've been up on and off since 4am

at least you are losing, DP. be careful not to lower too much, though.

I lost a little more. 3 pounds and I will be IN a new decade and below 200.

this weekend could be hard to lose though. a lot going on. tonight I'm going out to dinner with Dad and L and then going to a coffee shop about 1 1/2 hours away to listen to my nephews band.

on easter we are going to a breakfast buffet with some family. no plans for most the afternoon but maybe go hang at Dad's for awhile. dh has to leave for work at 6 that night. Since dd22 has to work all day she is going to come over when she gets off between 7 and 7:30 that night and hang out with me. I might order a pizza so she can have something yummy she doens't get very often. of course there will be candy here. I'm okay having some, i just don't want to go crazy with it, ya know?

As much as I want to lose before Monday, with so much going on I think I'll be happy just to maintain or be within a pound of today's weight. even that is going to be hard but it might be doable without feeling too restricted.

I'm so excited this is the last day of work before spring break and I get off at 11:00 today. yeah!

I won't stews. I'm talking maybe a point or 2 if I decide to. It's only like lowering it 100 cals a day if that. Or I might replace one of my fruits with a vegetable and see if that works. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to change anything at all.
Eating my normal breakfast now because I'm going to run in about an hour.

We don't have Easter plans really. We will color eggs tonight and then Sunday Kyle and our neighbor are going to have an egg hunt

Hi there... Sorry, been a crazy few days. I know I haven't been in here.

Yesterday went ok. My teeth/gums KILLED by the end of the day. Wasn't because of my niece though. She did a great job. Just took a lot of work to get my teeth all clean. I haven't been to the dentist in YEARS so I had a lot of build up under my gums. Also, those dentist chairs are not all that comfortable after 8 hours. LOL

Today Sara had no school - so we went to see "The Croods". Super cute movie. I really liked it. Sara did too. Then grocery shopping. Sara also had a friend come over. No more play dates since I'll be working again, so we wanted to have her friend over one more time. They are LOUDLY eating dinner right now. She'll be going home soon because Sara has dance class.

Mom leaves tomorrow to go back to Canada to get her eye checked. Not sure if you all remember me telling you about her eye detaching from her retina. But she has an appt with a specialist up in Canada next week. So at least she knows what she is dealing with. Lets hope its not too bad and easily fixed. She has to be back within two weeks at the latest.

OHHHHHH!!! I almost forgot! The reason she HAS to be back within two weeks...she got that job she interviewed for! So she starts in two weeks! So like me, she'll have full benefits, etc. So no more worries about health insurance and taxes. She's really scared to tell her current boss. He's going to be really upset and surprised. She's been there for like 20 years. But he won't put her on as an employee. In Canada, it was no big deal because she had Canadian insurance and had a husband to fall back on for money etc. But now that she is here, she needs insurance and to have a "normal" job where they pay taxes. She can't continue to be an independent contractor. Its too risky here.

Anyway... Long winded. But we both got offered jobs in the same week! So that is great!

oh Amy, that is GREAT news! and I can understand her feeling bad about having to leave but I agree, you have to do what you have to do and if they won't make her an employee even after all that time as a contractor than they can deal with it when she leaves.

my dd24 and her boyfriend went and saw the croods. said it was good also.

Well, I ate some soup and toast for dinner. Still pretty weak. Losing over 10 lbs in a few days will do that. At 167.2 today. Hopefully I won't put much of that back on.

Called off work tonight. I know my boss is going to be upset with me, but just walking around the house wears me out. Hopefully I will feel better by tomorrow night.

Have a great weekend!!!

Hope you feel better lenise

Getting ready to run here in a bit. We put Stella in her crib last night and she did great!! She was still up 3 times but we all slept better without her in our bed or moving from the bed to basinette while I fed her.

I ended up eating pretty heavy yesterday and used some of my extra points. Going to try lighter here for a few days and more whole clean foods

my weight is up a bit today after yesterday. ate more after work than normal and then we went to red Robin for dinner. I could have made a better choice there but I decided to just enjoy. only had a sf latte at the coffee shop while listening to nephew's band though so that was good, at least. didn't get home until close to 1:00 then just hung out till about 2:00 before going to bed

whew! Home from day before Easter grocery shopping. Stores were mobbed! Even Sams Club. I bought everything I need for my Asparagus Bundles tomorrow and DD19's (Jessie) birthday dinner on Wednesday. She turns 20 -- I'm having D23 (Andy), DIL23 (Melissa), DGD (Hailey) and my uncle over for dinner. Jessie requested her favorite -- Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, tossed salads, garlic bread and cheesecake w/strawberries. Andy and my uncle do not like alfredo so I'm also making a pan of lasagna. I can send lasagna leftovers home with Andy & Melissa and my uncle. I am going to layer the lasagna meat sauce and mushrooms in a dish with cheese and bake in the oven for me. I already bought a vanilla cheesecake from a local bakery that is selling huge cheesecakes for $7 for Easter -- so that's in the freezer. I will have a dish of strawberries w/whipped cream.

I got great news this morning -- my dad and his wife are coming for Christmas! I'm so excited -- they'll be here from Dec 20 - 26. It will be the first time they meet Hailey. My dad was last here in 2011 when Jessie graduated and they were both here in 2010 for Andy & Melissa's wedding.

Not sure what dinner is tonight -- I spent 2 hours shopping this morning and didn't even think about dinner. Oops!

sooo, i just threw away all our old crayons. which is kind of dumb because a lot of them were still in good shape but I have issues with those dumb cardboard boxes and so they were all dumped in a box but then you lose the sharpener that comes in the box. I wanted something easier to deal with and easy to store and bring out when I want. I bought myself the crayon tower.

also got a couple movies for the Easter basket. I know its kind of silly to do the big basket when we are the only ones here. well, dd22 will be here that night but I just wanted to. dd24 and her boyfriend will be home in a couple weeks I think for a few days so if there is anything left, there should be at least some gift cards left, they can chose some to take if they'd like. I could go buy them an easter bunny but when they left they had a HUGE chocolate bar. like 5 pounds of solid chocolate that I doubt they have eaten so it seems silly to buy something that is basically the same thing.

I didn't buy as much candy this year because I don't want to be THAT tempted for long. I did buy a big thing of Robins eggs and 2 different bags of jelly beans. I also bought a bag of dark chocolate covered acai and blueberries (I love the pomegranate ones so we thought we'd try these ones. I don't overdo it as easily with dark chocolate because I don't like it quite as much as milk (even though I still like it) so figured that would be safer to have. I also bought 2 bags of dried fruit and 1 bag of dried coconut pieces at costco. oh and I threw in some pepperoni, 2 tubes of mentos and 1 big thing of orange tic tacs (dd22 likes those so I figured she could take them with her). the gift cards are just some assoreted ones...a couple jack in the box, a few sub way and some starbucks ones (mostly 10$ each) so each can choose a few if they want. I'm sure my basket will change when we have grandkids around some day but for now throwing in assorted gift cards are easy and they all can use and enjoy them.

going to relax here for a bit then clean my kitchen then head out of the porch for awhile. its beautiful here today. in the 70's!

I did get a good weight workout in today too. I really pushed myself. hopefully not too far. I took some tylenol after because I was afraid I was going to end up hurting from it. yikes! that was the last workout for this routine. time to look through and choose another one to do for the next 5 weeks or so. too bad i don't have another one set up like this one. I only had 2 similar in the way they are set up and I don't want to repeat the other one this soon.

kim, I'm glad they get to be there for Christmas. How exciting for you.

we don't have big plans for tomorrow for Easter. going out to eat with Dad and some other family members that are in town. its supposed to be nice so who knows. maybe I'll suggest dh take me for a motorcycle ride. that would probably make his day, lol. he leaves for work at 6 tomorrow night then when dd22 gets off work between 7 and 7:30 she is going to come over and eat here and hang out with me. we'll probably just watch a movie or something.

We are going to my godparent's house for Easter. There will be about 25 of us -- all cousins & second-cousins on my Dad's side of the family. I made up treat baskets for my kids today -- candy & a couple of gift cards. I already gave Hailey her basket -- they did a photo shoot with her last Saturday and one of the outfits she wore was the Easter dress I bought. At post-Easter sales last year I found white stuffed bunny baskets -- they are the softest fur and pure white with big pink ears. They were 90% off -- I think I paid less than $3. I bought 5 -- it's something I'd like for all future grandkids to have alike. I'm sure 5 will be too many -- but for that price, I bought them all.

I don't think I'll see Andy, Melissa and Hailey tomorrow -- they are going to her mom's house. I'm hoping they will stop by on their way -- her mom and I live about 3 miles apart. I have their treat baskets and I picked up a darling hand-knit stuffed bunny for Hailey at a boutique today.

Dinner mystery solved -- we are having a "snack party". Buffalo chicken dip with celery & colored pepper strips, chicken wings and smoked sausage chunks. Jessie will probably have some tortilla chips & cheese as well.

I bought 7 bundles of asparagus to make my veggie side dish for tomorrow. I'll pre-cook the bacon and make the bundles in the morning and will finish roasting them in the oven at my godparents' house.

Guess I am going to work tonight. Don't really feel like it. I still don't feel quite right. Going to try anyway.

Had to run out to my Grandma's this evening. She was panicking cause there was something wrong with the furnace. Thankfully it just ended up being the batteries in the thermostat.

So tired right now. I'm nevergoing to survive the night.

got the Easter basket all put together and got my kitchen cleaned. that was a must. this is the worst I've let it get probably since dd24 moved. it wasn't that bad but it looked like it. I put a load of dishes away, started another load and washed just a few things by hand and its back in order, whew!

I'm now relaxing with a cup of coffee. have a couple more hours before dh gets home tonight. He usually wants to go out for pancakes or breakfast of some sort after his last day of day shift so we may end up doing that, but I he didn't say anything so I don't know for sure.

OH, and I got the gate we hook up on the porch in teh spring summer out so I can let the dogs come hang out with me when its warm enough.

testing my stomach today with more fiber. I haven't had much fresh veggies since hurting so bad but just had a big salad for dinner. hope all goes well and I can get back to having it often again.

so I did great at the buffet with my choices. I had mostly very healthy choices and when others went and chose dessert I got some fresh fruit. I may have some goodies tonight with dd but at least I didn't overeat or eat bad including dessert now and then eat some later too.

I can't believe how nice it is today here. this is rare weather for Easter for us. I love it. dh and I are going to go for a drive somewhere for a bit and then he'll go to work tonight.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We had a full day -- my Asparagus Bundles turned out great!

I started out my new breakfast routine this morning -- a shake/smoothie made with vanilla whey protein powder, nonfat greek yogurt, 1/2 c. frozen berries and a splash of Diet Ocean Spray Blueberry juice. It comes out to 14 carbs and 264 calories. My previous breakfast routine was sausage patties at a whopping 560 calories. Eek! My shake was good -- but it will take some getting used to the protein powder -- plus it wasn't thick enough. It had the consistency of melted ice cream and I had to drink it down pretty quick. But it has 46 grams of protein so it kept me pretty full all morning.

Today's food plan:
B: protein smoothie
L: small mixed green salad w/grilled chicken, mozz cheese, cucumber, 1 hard-boiled egg, Newman's Creamy Caesar dressing
D: bunless cheeseburger patties, mayo & mustard

My April goals:
  • Stay within 1600 calories per day
  • Do my 100 Days of Weightloss "homework" each day
  • Drink 100 oz. of water daily
  • Exercise 2x a week

I'm starting with Day 1 of the 100 Days -- today's theme "I used to be that way, but now I'm different!"
I feel like I haven't been taking my health seriously and my goal is to start putting that first.

Amy -- I hope you're having a GREAT day at your new job -- today was your first day, right?

No April thread yet? Figures... I'm on my cell, so can't start one.

Sorry I've been MIA. Had a busy weekend and was barely home Monday & Tuesday. Works going good so far. I think today I'll actually start doing some work.

I'll check in tonight! Promise!

It's Jessie's 20th birthday today -- I took the day off and we are spending it together. I'm going to make her favorite breakfast and then we are planning on going to the dog park. I'm also going to clean the house before Andy, Melissa and Hailey come for dinner tonight. I put together the lasagna last night and make myself a "lasagna" with sautéed zucchini as the "noodles". I'll poach the chicken for the alfredo dish shortly and put that dish together later this afternoon. Dessert is vanilla cheesecake with fresh strawberries -- I just have to take the cheesecake out of the freezer and slice the strawberries. Looking forward to a fun evening with all my "kids" and granddaughter.

Amy -- glad to hear that the new job is going well!
Stews -- We enjoyed some nice weather for Easter too -- a sure sign that Spring is really here.
Lenise -- I hope you are feeling better and are well rested! 60 pounds is an awesome accomplishment -- CONGRATULATIONS!
Jackie -- I hope all is well with you.

I've had 2 days of breakfast smoothies -- I've got them "down" but am struggling a little bit with the protein powder flavor. I will make it tomorrow morning with 1/2 the amount of protein powder. The greek yogurt I'm using already has 23g of protein.

Yesterday's meals:
B: protein berry smoothie
L: mixed green salad w/grilled chicken, cucs, cheese, crumbled bacon, parmesean peppercorn dressing
D: chicken & veggie stir-fry

Today's meals:
Brunch: scrambled eggs w/chipotle salsa, sausage patties
