Good morning-

Jenn, I slept in a little this morning too. It worked out okay, DS15 actually set his alarm (AND turned it on) so...

Debbie, yep, they swim outdoors all year. The pools are heated (but not hot since they are workout pools) so that means even those nights that it dropped into the high 20's they were in the outdoor pool at 5am. (BRRR) Changing and walking to the pool is the hardest part on those days. When its cooler you can actually see the steam coming off of them when they get out after a game or workout. (swim season is now and its mostly during the day, so not so cold)
The girls water polo team has the worst of it with the weather. Their season starts just before Thanksgiving and ends late Feb. and they are in early am and their games are at night.

Cindy, enjoy your day off with DD25!

Becky, you are doing so great with exercising and eating! Woo Hoo, WTG!
Do you have an MRI scheduled for your arm/shoulder since the xray came back okay?
I'm so glad Mandy found you. She seems to be just what you need right now.

MK, snow shoveling is such a great workout. Seriously though, stay safe! Hope you don't need to get out before the roads are cleared!
I assume when everyone quits talking about snow I can mention the weather again.

Kaye, pop in and say hi, we miss you when you aren't around!

Morning!
The snow is finally melting!
It's 45 today.

Kelly - it WAS a good workout - I was sore!
Which was good since Body Building was cancelled yesterday.
Our trainer couldn't get off of her street!

Girls always seem to get the short end of the sports stick.
Even in soccer - boys get the beautiful Fall and the girl's season starts in March.

Cindy - I've work TOM'S a couple of times this winter when it was nice - but only the fur-lined ones. I can't wait for sandals!!

jenn - did you get everyone where they needed to be?

Becky - yay - so glad I won - NOT!
So what's next on your shoulder?
I love Lia Sophia!

Where's lunch?

Debbie - enjoy your day!!

I've been to CVS and Kroger.
I have to take my mom to the dentist this afternoon.
You would not believe how involved that is . . . more later IF I survive.

I haven't done much but my hair was way over due for color so glad that is done. Needed to iron. Registered for my 10k in April and for the summer half marathon training program. Reading now. I am tired and don't really want to go out.

DH off tomorrow but I have a short education thing, then staff meetin and then work. Only 4 hours so no big deal.

Back to my book. I really should do more today but Tuesdays are my lazy days.

The snow is melted here. Cold for March.

I can't stand being cold and swimming pools usually feel cold to me unless it is a hot summer day. I want to swim for exercise but don't like feeling cold in a bathing suit!

Weigh in at 1020.

I can't believe Easter is this Sunday! And I don't have the girls Easter dresses yet. Yikes! I looked at one Kohls yesterday. I'll look at the one close to my house today. Kim said to check Target out cuz they had some cute ones there.

Soooo... My Mammaws 2nd annual tea party is scheduled for April 5. Payday. And to beat all, Alyssa said "will I get Gracie and me a present and wrap it real pretty like u did last year?". Then Gracie popped up with "we get a present AND a tea party???". Dang, I forgot I got them the Easter Barbies last year. I'm glad she said something or she would have been disappointed if I didn't get them something which I probably would have since it was a PARTY! Alyssa wants a tea party even when she gets to be big like her mommy and in like GG. Oh My Gosh... They will be coming to tea parties when I'm in my 80s!

My aunts son and his wife (never met his wife) is coming up from Houston the weekend that I'm going to be in Texas. I haven't seen Roy since my aunt loved here with my mom and dad and I think she's been back in Texas for about 20 years. I'm sooooo excited to see him again. His daughter that I play scrabble with on fb is coming too. I emailed her and asked if it was doable for her to come to Plano, she lives in Austin, I think. Mom said Kim and Sophie se very much alike. This may be a once in a lifetime trip so I want to see both Roy and his daughter. He and his wife have 7 kids with a set of twins in there. My aunt Joann said when she was here last that Sophie is to her like Kim is to my mom.

I'm having a fb pampered Chef party when I get back from Texas. One of my aunts other daughters (she has a son and 3 daughters) is trying to set her business up so I told her I would have a fb party when I come back. I'm spread too thin to have a home party. Johns niece is having another Lia Sophia party this fall so I will book a party off of hers for Spring 2014. That will just be a booking party unless something ever changes with mom. Anything can happen in a year at her age, unfortunately.

I lost one of my Red Hat ladies yesterday. She found out a year ago she had leukemia. She was probably one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. She was in her 80s. I was trying to get a luncheon together for May after we come back cuz mom has missed the red hats. That's the 2nd one I've lost since I started it just before Kim got married, the other one was my Eastern Star sister Katherine.

So, to end my post on a happy note, I have a tea party I need to start planning. Oh... The pressure!

Mirsa and Billy start house hunting tomorrow. They invited me but I want them to do this on their own. I told them I would come see a house if they like it and want our opinion. It is fun looking at listings on line. Most houses are old and may need work. Even town houses are old where they need to look.

A tea party would be fun. I have a few tea sets I never use. Plus lots of cups and saucers from MIL. Cupcakes or cookies, some tea, maybe some finger sandwiches and you have a party right? I wouldn't be more creative then that. It is the present part that would be harder. I am sure Kim has ideas for what they like.

My DS21 and his GF made an Easter Basket for Bella.

I slept poorly too MK. For me it is hot flashes that have me sweating then I get cold and repeat. I wish I could stop the nightly hot flashes. I think I would sleep better. I was up at 5 reading email and FB but did fall back to sleep for maybe an hour.

DH is driving me and picking me up from work which is nice.

Hi!
Bad sleeper here too - dreamt I was in the aftermath of an Apocalypse!
Could be because we started watching The Walking Dead series!

Great day with DD yesterday.

I was sorry to hear about your friend too, Becky - saw it on FB.
So looking forward to fun events like the tea party, when I have Grands......

Good morning-

I HAVE to get to the post office today to mail DS19's Easter stuff. It will be late at this point, but better late than never.

Becky, your tea party sounds like so much fun! Will you all put on pretty summer dresses and hats too?
So sorry to hear about your friend.

Debbie, so exciting for Billy and Mirsa to look at houses. So much fun!
I couldn't swim in the cold either. I tried a few times when we first moved here and as soon as the weather shifted a little bit I quit.

MK, (and Cindy and Debbie) sounds like you all will need a nap later today. That's so frustrating!
Are you still sore from shoveling snow?

Cindy, its nice that your DD's are so close, it will make having grands a lot more fun!

DS15 should be in from practice soon. He'll be hungry and I still need to make his lunch. BBL!

Gonna take a nap Til 630 and then run and get Gracie.

Went to Kohls after hair and brows. Bought Isabella some clothes and used my 20% off coupon. Bought a 5qt Dutch oven I needed.

Ran to grocery and got my car washed. Met a friend at 4 to run.

Tonight SU plays at 9:45.

Haven't heard a thing from the house hunters.

Need to go make dinner. DH wants hamburgers.

Work tomorrow.

I told DH today - no wonder I am exhausted at the end of the day - besides work, there is always some drama....yesterday it was my Dad and DD23, today it was my brother and DD23.......<sigh>

DH got to the range - I am catching up on Rachel Zoe and tossed an Amy's Vegetarian Cheese Enchilada in the microwave.

Trying to figure out when I am going to get to the grocery store to get the last of whatever I need for brunch on Sunday....ugh.

Not sure why, but the last couple of days I'm hitting the wall in the afternoon. Yesterday I powered through, today I grabbed an afternoon coffee.

I did my couch to 5k run this morning and was weeding in the front yard when my friend came over to ask wouldn't you rather go shopping. So, we went to Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls, and ended at Trader Joes. She had quite the successful shopping day, I tried on one dress (much cuter on the hanger than on me) and only bought groceries at TJ's. Oh well...

Hi!

Long day - but DS20 is here!
We leave for KC, MO, tomorrow and I get to see DD26 and DS23!
DD29 is moving this weekend.
Everybody is busy!

Kelly - I hate when I WANT to buy something and can't find anything!

Cindy - I'm.so.tired.of.drama!!!
What's up with DD23?
Have you found any good recipes? There's lots of good vegan Easter recipes on FB and Pinterest.

Debbie - did the house-hunters find anything?

Becky - Mom days can be exhausting! I totally understand!
Kelly has a great idea for the tea party - hats!! Did the girls get Easter hats?

Jenn - how was your day?

Travel safe MK and enjoy the family time.

No they didn't find anything. There isn't a lot they can afford. They will pay extra and go month to month in May if they can't find a house. Their realtor is sending them more listings to check out.

Watching Syracuse. They are doing well but can't get excited yet.

My dad is having Cataract surgery May 6. I work that day and would like to be there.

DS21 was home for a while. He is going to his GF's family house at Deep Creek Lake and coming back here Sunday to spend Easter with her mom. I rarely see him lately.
She is a sweet, lovely girl and they seem to be very serious. He is so young. They both make way too little to live on here. They want an apartment together.

Morning!

Another quick pop in!

Still working on cleaning up the house. It's coming along! So glad it's Spring Break next week. Hope to get more done then.

I can't believe Easter is Sunday. I am so unprepared! I have got to get out either today or tomorrow and finish up some shopping. The kids don't even have anything to wear!

Playing bells tonight and Sunday. Wish it was just Sunday, but that's alright.

Kids have a half day today. Rhonda gets out at 11:35 and the other kids get out at 12:10. Then IL's are picking them up!

I'm off. Promised them I'd make biscuits and gravy (chocolate gravy for Rhonda) for breakfast!

I'm annoyed I am not off today.
My own fault, but it seems it's always me on these days everyone wants off. My teammates say I need to speak up, so will address this on Tuesday at our meeting - the other half of our team thinks they should be off because they always have been - well, guess what? We don't have a union anymore so your seniority doesn't mean squat anymore.

DD23 is stressing about all the issues with her rehearsal. It's a long story - but it is what it is due to having it at Turner Hall - so now reality is setting in. Between her wedding and DD25's BFF who is marrying her DH's brother and ALL the events attached to both - I will be so glad when these weddings are over. EVERY weekend from now till after DD's wedding is booked. Throw a trip to Nashville in there for a VERY quick weekend for our niece's wedding, my head is just spinning.

Still not sure what I am making for dessert for brunch - I am making DD23 a tofu scramble and we will have baked french toast......

Kelly - I think you were smart to can the weeding and shop instead.
My issue lately is I am finding TOO many things!!

MK - safe travels and enjoy your kids!!!

Debbie - will you have a quiet weekend then?

Jenn - I miss having spring break with the kids!

Becky - how was the sleepover?

Off to work - DD23 should be home with the circus this afternoon!

I have a normal weekend. I run Saturday. No plans other then watching Syracuse at 4 Saturday. Sunday I work 8 hours. Not sure why I only signed up for 8 hours but happy. Not good for my paycheck though.

Cindy, I try not to think about our wedding. There is a lot of work to do. I haven't figured out the rehersal dinner, I need a dress. They haven't picked a florist. They need invitations. They have to finalize a menu. Much more to do!!

I need to get ready for work. Today is also my weekly weigh in day. Trying to stay accountable with my weight. My eating hasn't been horrible but I eat too much!!

Very quick pop in to wish you all a lovely Easter! I'm am so tired, but I'm in the midst of making an Angel Food Cake and a Garbanzo bean cake for tomorrow. And baskets. Tomorrow I play bells both services and then have to make deviled eggs and dip strawberries!

Hi ladies,
It's been quiet here the last few days. I'm missing having DS19 here for Easter this weekend. We decided not to do a big Easter dinner or brunch, we'll go to mass & figure it out from there.

Debbie, I'm still working my way up on the couch to 5k program. I have new running shoes too. .

Kelly, Coach to 5K is a great program! What kind of running shoes did you buy?

Happy Easter all!!

DH and I went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant in town last night after the Syracuse game.

I am so excited that they are going to the final four.

I was supposed to work 11-7 today but they asked me to do 3-11.

DH is out running. I am not adding an extra run. I am being lazy.

Off to check Facebook.

Again, hope you all have a great family day. Jenn, you have so much to do!!!

Happy Easter!
We are having brunch here later morning......then DH, DD23 and I will have dinner - DD25 and her DH go to his Grandma's, for what they refer to as - dried out ham. My menu, after much agonizing, is: baked french toast, hash browns, tofu scramble and toast, fruit, mimosa's and vegan fluffy coconut cupcakes.

Debbie - congrats on Syracuse! I was rooting for Marquette.....one of the many colleges in the Milwaukee area!

Jenn - Hoping you get all done that needs to get done!

Need to put together my "baskets" for the girls and their guys...nothing elaborate....each a fudge egg from our local gourmet chocolate shop, a candle, microfiber drying mat and a reusable shopping bag....oh, and DD23 gets some vegan peanut butter cups, organic licorice and organic suckers.

Hope you all have a wonderful day......hard to believe tomorrow is April already. This month is going to prove to be pretty hectic.....I have to get shower invites addressed and out, and also work on wedding invitation.....
