I watched the biggest loser finale, the girl that won lost 121 lbs and looked amazing! She had to lose 120 lbs to win it and she lost 121. I bet she was sweating it!!! Lol.

Going to bed soon.

Debbie, I hope u feel better soon!

I was 7 weeks exactly away from 26 when I had Kim. I think Debbie's and my timeline is pretty close with our birthdays, weddings and first time motherhood. First and last for me tho it wasn't planned that way.

See you guys tomorrow!

Good first Boy Scout meeting!

So tired though. Was going to go to bed early, but Castle was on. I just can't miss it! It was good too!

I didn't get married until I was 26. Had my kids at 28, 30, 32, and 33. I have a friend who is my age (I'll be 41 next month), who has a (I think) 2 year old (she might be three) and just had a baby in November. There is no way I could do that.

Yes we were almost the same ages - I just threw another one in there!

The biggest thing is that the vegan items are so much more expensive. It was so much easier when she was a vegetarian.

MK, thought my arm was better, but now it's acting up again.
Sorry you had a long day!

Vegan things ARE expensive!! A small bag of kale chips is $5.99! Almost everything is $4 and up.

Every time I go back to using my mouse with my right hand - my arm acts up again. I'm getting pretty competent with my left!

Becky, my kids were born in May, June and July and my birthday is November.

Not one of my kids was planned. My wedding was. I was pregnant with Billy but didn't know it. I was a few weeks pregnant on my honeymoon.

I go back to work today. Felt stomach stuff last night. After many belches it got better. I do not burp much usually.

I need to get up and dressed. Don't want to! I did sleep better once I finally fell asleep.

I watched Biggest Loser too.

Sorry about the sore elbows. I guess I was lucky when I had that it went away with Rey,ice, and Motrin. I do fight with my shoulders. My left will lock up when I sleep. Of course my back is also an issue.

While I have been sick and not running my back hasn't been good either. I never do well lying down.

Ok I need to face the world!

Think I am going to make an appt with PT again for my arm.
It really helped.

I got married at almost 23, had first baby at 28 and second at 30. I had two miscarriages before DD25 was born. We had talked about #3, but with two Csections followed by another surgery, DH said no, he didn't want me to go through another surgery as it would have had to be a Csection.

Late day today but only till 6 now, so not too bad. Got snow again yesterday, blowing snow and windy today. Weekend looks promising.

Hi!
I was married soon after I turned 23.
Kids 2 & 3 were planned. We also used NFP for birth control and so we picked their genders too.

Cindy - snow? again?
Is this the longest winter ever?

We don't have good weather in any of our forecasts!

Debbie - I hope you have a good day!!

Kelly -

Morning!

Need to get busy! I have got to get off my lazy butt and do something in this house!

Also need to make a quick trip to the Scout Store for a couple of merit badge books and go by the former Advancement Chairs house to pick up the stuff I need from her.

Not one of my kids was planned. Rhonda was an emergency C-section and the others were all VBACS. I didn't even know I was pregnant with Millie (number 3) and found out when I was 30 weeks. Speaking of Millie, here is a poem she made up and recited to me this morning (the girl makes me laugh daily! She's 8)

A Chance (by Millie)

We gave you a chance
To water the plants
We didn't mean that way---
Now zip up your pants!

Off to clean! Will be back later!

Jenn, thanks for sharing Millie's poem. So cute!

I had a parent group board meeting followed by a "brainstorming" (fundraising/increased involvement) meeting starting at 8:30 this morning and getting home well, now...

Like Jenn, neither of my pregnancies were planned, two C-sections. The dr. that delivered DS15 missed the date and he was really really early and "got to" fly to the nearest children's hospital shortly after he was born. Both boys were very big babies and they dated DS15 from the ultrasound. (DS19 was over 10 lbs and a teeny bit early because the dr was concerned about me because he was big, the neonatalogist estimated DS15 would have been about 11 lbs full term, he was almost 8 as a 34-36 week premie)

One of my best friends has a first grader and he's adorable and really fun and all, but I don't know if I have the energy to do that now.

I found Red Widow on Hulu (thanks Cindy!) I started the first episode last night and it looks good. I'm in the middle of season 3 of 24 at the moment though and kinda putting all of my other shows off until I find out what happens with Jack Bauer and Nina Myers.

Jenn - too funny!

Debbie - Natural Family Planning is NFP or the Billings Ovulation Method and it teaches you to know your cycle and supposedly "girl sperm" are slow but survive longer while "boy sperm" are faster but die sooner as well. Then you time conception according to which you want.

No clue if it's scientifically proven, but I have 2 girls and 2 boys, so . . . .

Gotta love days like that, Kelly!

As far as tv shows go...I'm rewatching Buffy. On season 7 now...just a handful of episodes left. Trying to convince my friend to watch Sherlock next, but she's leaning towards rewatching Friends.

I got married a month after I turned 22, John was 20 that July. Kim was born when I was almost 26. Debbie, I meant your bd and anniversary are slipped from mine, you weren't tied in oct and birthday in November and I'm opposite from that. We were married November 11, 1978. Kim was born 8/22/82... All 8s and 2s. John is 7/7, I am 10/10 and we were married 11/11. Didn't realize that Til after we picked the date and it was pretty well set. Kim chose her own birthday. 18 days after my due date. We thought she was never coming!

Waiting for John to get home. I'm going to eat without him, I'm hungry.

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill. I only slept 1.5 hours last night so I tired out quicker tonight

See ya ladies!

Wednesday.....and Spring! Where is it?

Busy day with a Getting Started session and a Fighting for Students event we have a table at today from 11-1 - should go by quickly!

DH and I met in high school.....we have been together since 1974, with the exception of about 6 months in college when we broke up.......so total we have been together for almost 40 years and married for 32 of those!

Jenn - I watch New Girl - need to catch up. I tried Mindy Project.
Deception is over - watched that and liked it - don't think it will be renewed.
Anyone watch that?

I made it through yesterday. One more day! Still not back to normal. Woke up coughing to the point I couldn't take deep breaths in the middle of the night. It was scary! My airway was very reactive. Hasn't happened in years. I barely coughed yesterday and my nose was pretty clear so not sure what happened. Thankfully I finally stopped my crazy coughing. My poor husband.

I just want to be back to normal!!!!!

I feel fine now and awake considering.

Cindy, we have been married the same amount of time. I will be 32 years in October. My neighbor is married to her HS sweet heart so is my friend Rona. It isn't very common any more. I never had a HS boyfriend.

Hugs to you all!!

Morning!!

Exercise, lunch, mom visit, friend in hospital visit, and lots of errands!

Cindy - I agree - Spring? What's that??!!

Debbie - hope you're better really soon!!!

Jenn - I used to watch both of them and then quit - it seemed like they became more crude without becoming more enjoyable . . . .

Becky - why aren't you sleeping?

Kelly - I love Sherlock!!

Morning!

Cindy-sounds like a busy day!

Debbie-I hope there isn't something else wrong. Sending good vibes your way!

Becky-how's your arm?

MK-only 10 more days until Dr Who!!!! I can't wait! Still my favorite show! Rhonda's favorite show is on tonight. The Middle.

Kelly-what are you up to today?

Sadly, I didn't get a lot done yesterday. By the time I was motivated, the kids were coming home. Looks like it might not be too bad outside today, so I hope to get the van cleaned out, among other chores around the house. Especially since the kids are home early today. I am so glad policy is changing and they won't be doing it next year. It's such a pain!

I have a meeting/training tonight for the awards position. I did get the stuff yesterday, but man, she really made me shake my head about some things.

I'm off! Have a great day, ladies!

Morning-

Its DS15's "late" school morning. He has early am practice on most Wednesdays, every day of the week EXCEPT Wed. I have to drag the kiddo out of bed and push, push, push, push. On Wed mornings he gets himself up, has breakfast, makes it to practice on time, comes home, showers, has second breakfast (the kid is part hobbit by the way) and walks out the door organized and on time. I'm thinking he should have practice early every school day.

I'm watching Deception. I'll probably watch the last one today when I fold laundry. I liked the old Dr. Who but haven't really watched it for a lot of years, maybe I should pick those up again too.

DS15 has an away swim meet today. Not sure if I'll go or not. (who am I kidding, I'll be there I'm sure) Last night they had an away scrimmage. We have a few mommies on his team that drive me bananas, fortunately there were a lot of parent drivers and people to chat with since I forgot my book. One of the younger kids dad sat with me and I had only met him once. He seems like a really nice guy. (actually, the moms that drive me bananas are fine in small doses and are perfectly nice people, but I was in a mood last night so...)

My friend that I'm running with bailed on me this morning. She asked if we can go tomorrow because she has a really busy day. I'm going to go on my own and will keep it to just the c25k workout since I really need to get to the grocery store and get dinner in the crockpot in case I want to go to the swim meet. I will go with her again tomorrow too.

Major (mental) exercise win for me today! When I woke up this morning I thought, I hope my friend bails today, I really don't want to run. (like I posted above) she did and I thought YEAH! Then in my head I went, crud, this is step #1 to quitting, so I went. I didn't feel good and I thought, I'll just go slow, but going is the most important thing. I had to talk myself out of walking when I was supposed to be running several times. (I didn't quit before I was supposed to, although I was happy to have to wait for a car to cross the street)
Anyway, I've been wearing DH's running watch with gps and even though I had all those talks with myself and I didn't feel great and I thought I was super slow, my pace was actually faster than on Monday!
Anyway, the biggest thing was that I WENT!
