Numbers were good again today 125.8 after an UD.

So cold here, windy and snowing too. Going into town this afternoon, mad things that we are, but a couple of things that can't be sensibly put off. It is warmer in most buildings than our house just now anyway.

Maryam, finding the staff will be a challenge.... They are probably out there though.

Enjoy your London visit Mimosa, we are busy planning a trip to Berlin in the summer. We have family there and friends from Oz will be there's then too. He is German and they are a lot of fun. It'll be hot though. Is that your puppy?

Helloooooo everyone!! Just hopping in to say I am alive and doing just fine, but a current combination of crazy rehearsal schedule (often 10-2 and 6-9, with 15 mins' cycling on either side of both) (oh yes plus I am now learning music for a private concert on the evening before the premiere...) and total emotional commitment and trying to keep my social life alive means I have pretty much forgotten what this here dusty bit of humming plastic is for. Haven't forgotten you all though!! Keep up the good work everyone.

I'll be back (oh hell. Wrong genre. Never mind...).

Blondie, yes, we have Waitrose on Reem Island - it's pretty good, but not a patch on the UK version!

Kissa, keep warm - still no heating?

Mim, enjoy your work trip to the UK.

Lola, I'm still on M&E/induction and all good so far - down another half pound today. And most importantly I'm finding it easy, and not deprived.

Juno, your life is crazy as always - but fun I'm sure!

Hi everyone else - Shy must be back soon.

Blotto woo hoo

Kissa: Hope that you get things sorted soon with heating. We had a new boiler fitted last Friday and cannot believe how much warmer the house is and how efficient the radiators are compared to what they were previously.

Whizzing by...off to body pump..more later xx

Boiler man coming between 12 & 3 today. Fingers crossed. Glad you are feeling an improvement in your heating Lola. At least the sun is shining this morning.

Today I start reclaiming the cellar after the builders took it over back in, oh I don't even remember if it was September or October! I am dreading it, their idea of cleaning it is a joke, and although we taped up the cupboard doors my guess is that they'll be full of dust too.

Yesterday's DD turned out not to be as we had dinner in town. But I was 125.8 this morning which is very nice.

Juno, take care cycling in this bitter weather. Enjoy your busy life.

Blotto I am glad you are finding induction easy and are seeing it work. I am still so happy with my combination of JUDDD and 5:2.

Wish I could be with shy in warm Egypt.

Welcome home shy, and yes, that eating plan is as clear as mud, but I get it! Wish DH a Happy B'day from me, and enjoy a lovely date meal.

Boilerman failed yesterday, had to order a part, coming again tomorrow. Grrrr.

Had a great DD yesterday and saw 124.6 this morning, which is very encouraging. Haven't bee below 125 for a long time.

welcome back Shy! So pleased you had a lovely relaxing time in the sunshine. I shall look forward to you joining on me on M&E next week!

Kissa, grrr, bet you are fed up with the boiler by now! Lola, glad yours is working better!

Almost the weekend here. Sadly nothing more exciting than study planned - oh, and baby shower on Sat pm - it's a chocolate afternoon tea in a hotel - what to do?! Clearly not low carb but it's expensive, so I can't sit there and eat nothing.......

Oh Blotto that is tough. No help I'm afraid. What are you studying?....

I am delighted to weigh in at 124.2 aftere an UD . It was a pretty sensible up day and I even left my second glass of wine DD today and then a lovey 3 days of eating anything with DD1 and her DH who are with us for 3 nights.

5:2 is suiting me better than I could have imagined. I did fit in an extra DD this week but I love them anyway.

Boiler man expected between 12 & 2, so fingered crossed.

Shy: Good to see you back..yep it will feel cold here....its been freeezzzing.. But you will soon get used to ha ha. Hope you had fab time and sure that you will soon get back on the track next week.

Kissa: Great news with 124. I am so envious..I just cannot go forwards or backwards at the moment...becoming very frustrated..but have to stick in there.

Blotto: Hope you can stay with the low carb and M & E obviously works for you. Hope that the chocolate tea doesn't do too much damage. What must a girl do for her friends lol. Luckily, not very fond of chocolate.

I think its just finding the right combo. JUDDD seemed to work for me in the beginning and I started to lose weight...but there is stopped and then back on again.

Oh well as long as I don't go any higher than 67kgs...guess I have to be happy.

DD home for a few days so great...she has done so well as well lost 3 stone with low carb and Dukan combo...keeping it off too.

Enjoy your weekends coming up I probably won't be around very much xx

I am eating very low DDs just now, I take the Pterostilbene and find it kills my hunger. I am not overdoing the UDs either, at least, not as a rule

At last the heating is back on, yay.

I am making progress reclaiming my cellar from all the builder's dirt. I quite enjoy getting my hands dirty and sorting everything out. Always fun pulling out the washer and dryer and cleaning in there. Yuk at any time but after 5 months of their dust, you can imagine.

We will both have a DD with us this weekend what fun.

Have fun everyone, whatever you are up to.

OMG what a mammoth day with dear daughter yesterday.

Started off at 08.30. Gym, pool, steam la la la. Then straight into retail. (she is starved where she lives). Not home till late having not eaten all day. Ate and then back out again for more retail until 9pm last night lol So a very good down day for me no wonder I was down 1lb today yay. Fingers xxxd this is the end of the mammoth stall. Ive done some calculations (and as i probably really knew) not eating enough calories on my UD's. So going to try really hard to eat more on my UD's. its a mental block for me cos I've spent so many years denying myself and counting calories that I i feel guilty. But need to try to relax and see if kissa's magic can rub off on me. I like this way of eating so need to make it work .

Out tonight for our Mother's Day meal with DD just the two of us So girls stuff. Nice

Have fab weekends xx

Well, I totally caved yesterday - the chocolate thing turned out to be a normal afternoon tea and I'm a sucker for dainty sandwiches and scones - there was no stopping me! Thankfully I have a sugar hangover today so I'm happy to get back to low carb.

Kissa, 5:2 sure does suit you - yay! Hope you enjoyed all the cleaning, and are now having fun with DD1. I'm studying for an investment certificate for work - dull, but will look good on my CV. Exam is on the 28th so not long now, argh.

Lola, yay to the pound, woo hoo! Sounds like you are having lots of fun with DD too, nice that you are having some quality time together.

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. Work here, boo!

Still busy, busy at work. Starting to get pretty warm in the afternoons so the walk to gate is getting sweaty! Thankfully, there is a bus in the morning now so I don't have to arrive in my office sweaty!!!

Blotto - Good luck with studying and the exam!

Shy - Welcome back!

Lola - How was your mother/daughter day?

Kissa - So glad you have heat again!!!!

Morning all

Juno: You are sure busy. Love the cycling every day. I love my bike but usually only get to go out at weekends as its a time thing with it during the week and I need my to car to go out during the day for work.

Kissa. Hope that your heating is now back on track as its still very cold here in the UK

Blotto. Are you sure that you want to come back to this cold climate for a holiday. Brrr maybe by the time you arrive it may have warmed up. Now you're talking with scones etc. I would love that much better than a chocolate tea. Hope though you are back on the straight and narrow and eating clean

Shy. Hope you've come back out of holiday hibernation and had a good weekend with end of DH birthday. Are you back on low carb?

Blondie good to see you back and yes had fab fab time with DD. even better cos we were just on out own with no men to bother us. Had lovely fish meal out on Saturday evening and a little more retail yesterday before she went home. Totally maxed out on retail now for a few days.

Busy day here today it's a DD so that's good to keep busy. Need to fit gym on somewhere along the line

Hi to everyone else reading. Hope that you have a good week. Off to the the
Theatre in London tomorrow. Excited as not been to Theatre in ages and nice to get out in London too. Don't do too much of that either i just swim around in my quite large goldfish bowl. So all good.

Hi to everyone else reading x

Hi everyone!

Doing a quick fly-by as I really need to read what you've all wrote here, but emails are also becoming a bit pressing...

After driving more than 1000 km in one week, and flying to and from the UK, I'm pretty done now. Have another dinner tomorrow evening with clients and a presentation on Wednesday I have to prepare for, so all in all another busy week. Next week we have more clients over here for a whole week of presentations and us making nice and so forth, so I guess by the time Easter comes round I'll welcome the 4 day weekend!

All is well, I'm going to be doing M/E this week, will let you all know how I get on!

Catch up later,
xxx

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin....

Got the cellar sorted on Thursday. Collected DD1 and her DH on Friday. Nice day on Saturday, cinema in the afternoon and friends in for dinner. Strangely flashing lights during the evening.

Overnight Sat/Sun the electricity for the whole of our street went off. Most of our water is pumped above the ground floor. So no showers or flushing loo except on the ground floor. No heating again.

Happily we had been invited out for Sunday lunch. Just before we went out I popped down to the cellar, where I found 3 inches of water over the whole floor. Turn off water at mains, so now no water anywhere.

I have neighbours relying on stairlift and electric beds so I guess I shouldn't moan.

The electricity finally came back on at 9.30 in the evening. We'd had candlelit drinks in the bedroom with the neighbour with the stairlift, then went over the the pub...needed to be near working loos. Too much wine and pizza.

We were finally able to turn the water back on this morning. Have had the plumbers here all day with wet/dry vacs and trying to get to the bottom of the water issue. Think they have it traced now to an issue with the central heating system.

Have just got home from taking the 'kids' home.

Enjoyed reading all the posts but not doing personals. May have a drink now, even though it is a Down Day.

Seems okay, but the plumber is still here. I dread to think what the bill will be, may be an insurance claim.

That's funny Mim, I've got stonking headache too. Mind you, I think mine is a result of poor eating lately. Must get back on track today.

Hello. I’m still around . More or less.

My grand plans to lose lots of weight by the time I go on holiday next month didn’t come to much! But it’s been going down by about a pound a month, so at least I’m heading in the right direction, and I’m eating in a way that I can sustain.
