Ok everybody! I hope everyone is doing well within their challenge. We have just under two months until the challenge is complete. Are you staying on track?

My goal is to be at 210. I was at 220.9 this morning. I also have a mini goal to be at 216 by April 23rd, which is my one year LC anniversary. I am so happy that I found this site. I don't believe i would have ever stuck with this if it wasn't for all of you!

I'm down 6lbs from the start of this challenge. My goal is 14lbs for the challenge so it is doable but I need to hustle a bit. I've been getting slack with snacking drive bys lately (a few of husband's potato chips here, a bite of his carby sandwich there) and it's showing up on the scale. I'm finding that I have to be a lot more vigilant with that sort of thing now than in the beginning of this journey. That sucks! But I'm just over halfway to goal and a hell of a lot healthier than 46 lbs ago so I'm motivated to keep going. Hubby has agreed to call me out on the snack drive-bys. He made me promise not to fuss at him for holding me accountable though. Whatever could he mean by that?

So, it seems I'm still kind of battling a virus. It's lingering, but I'm doing somewhat better today!

Scale today said, 176-------definitely sickness related, so I know its going to fluctuate, but I'll take it today! LOL

Hoping I can stay in the 70's now...time to be really good!

I caught up on everyone's progress......you guys are doinig so awesome!!!!

How is everyone doing? I hit a new low this morning... 201! That puts me at 47lbs lost since mid August of last year! I know lots of people lost more in less time but I'm pleased as sugar-free punch!

I'm stuck in a plateau right now, but holding strong at 210. This is going to be a good month! It's warming up here in NJ, so it's finally grilling weather, hooray! Do you all grill out a lot while on plan?

Hey Spod--fellow New Jerseyite...... So happy it's warming up here, I was sick of that cold wet weather!

My husband is an expert griller, and when the weather is warm he's out there cooking up a storm. I'm in charge of any sides.

btw--congrats on the 30 lb loss!

Thanks 4myfuture! I'm so thrilled to be this far along after 3 months. Now if the scale would just start moving again it looks like you're doing great with your LC lifestyle as well!
Are you in northern or south jersey? I'm in Essex county and it was 84 today! I actually decided to grill porkchops and asparagus for dinner. Delightful!

I understand that darn scale is annoying at times...I felt a bit stuck around 30 lb mark too.....started moving again.....it's just a process.

I live in Ocean County...good ol' Jersey shore area. It's 86 today! woohoo.

Thinking of baking some kale chips this afternoon...haven't done it and everyone swears by them!

I love grilling out. I even do it in the winter sometimes. We have been having beautiful weather here in Tennessee so I have been doing quite a bit of grilling. I love hamburgers and hotdogs! And steak...and chicken

I tried the kale chips but I didn't like them at all. I love cooked kale though.

Spod, I wouldn't worry too much about your stall. You lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time. Your body just needs to adjust.

It was such amazing weather the past few days! I'm a big fan of kale chips. I get the ore washed and torn bags from trader joes. It really speeds up the process. Try using kosher salt.
Cfine, I know you're right about the scale. I figure it will start moving again at some point. Just hopefully soon!

ok, didn't get to make the kale chips, but I'm going to today or this weekend....I've got all the stuff and don't want to waste it.

The scales been going up, but I figure my body is readjusting after being very sick....annoying!

I will readjust and tweak today so I feel better mentally about it!

How are ya'll doing? I was doing great last week, held steady at 201 all week. I made 200+ cupcakes for a friend's weddding, spending three days baking and icing and never ate one, only tasted the buttercreams and ganaches to adjust flavors. Then the weekend came. My husband and I play trivia on a team and our team won the playoff yesterday! We won $250 and are going to the finals next sunday. The bad news, I fasted until the game, then ate crappy bar food snacks for 3 hours. Total fail. This morning I was up to 203.2. I know it'll drop in a day or two but still, so lame!

Down from 210 to 207, but my rate of loss is definetly slowing down a lot. I am really hoping for a good week this week!

Congrats on your win MrsS. Sounds like fun. I am also trying to get some water weight off because I had an off plan meal Friday night and have been paying for it ever since. Ugh!

WTG Spod! A loss is a loss no matter how slowly it comes off.

Hi folks,

I haven't posted for awhile but I have been reading everything -- it is difficult to type in messages from my Kindle, which is usually how I check this message forum.

I have had ups and downs -- promptly gained 4 1/2 pounds after my new low about a month ago, and have been fighting to take them off. I have 3 1/2 of them off now. I am not weighing every day anymore, but am trying to focus on my eating behavior rather than the scale. Also, I am waiting out the horrible weather we have had in my area (I know -- an excuse :-) ) to start exercising. The day when exercising starts is coming soon! Thanks for keeping things going! I still have my Memorial Day goals in mind but like a true procrastinator, I will probably put in most of my effort during the last weeks before the deadline!!

All the best to everyone!

Susan

Hi everyone! Well, I'm happy to report that the scale has started moving for me again and although I am still 5 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight (and May 1st mini goal), I am officially smaller in size than I was last time around thanks to all the exercise I've been doing. So a big non-scale victory for me. I'm back in 90% of my pre-pregnancy clothes and it feels great! I'm guessing 5 pounds in 2 weeks is not gonna happen for me so I'll fail my mini goal, but I'm pressing on and working hard. It sounds like you are all found great as well. Congrats on your progress!

May is almost here, I can't believe it. The weeks seem to fly past me now. I am looking forward to the end of school and summer break. Summer seems to get my exercise up!

I've been doing the elliptical and keeping to my woe. I've added in some outside exericse when it's nice out---like mowing the lawn and weeding. I love landscape work...sounds weird, but it's therapy for me.

My woe is keeping me physically and mentally happy and I like that. For a while there, I wasn't feeling too good in either respect.

So, one goal for me is to get my exercise going this week!

Hey all, tired today. I'm looking forward to my elliptical date this afternoon. hopefully a good 45-50 minutes will be in store!

Eating is going to be good today. Idk, but I think some fruit in my diet is keeping me happy. I know fruit is sugar, but I think a little bit is ok, for me anyways.

Seems I'm having a big salad with grilled chicken everyday, and loving it!

Oh---I've kicked the breaded chicken out the door! I was eating it way too much, breaded things were creeping in to my diet, and I feel better about that too. Loving my grilled chicken!

WHAT ARE YOU ALL LOVING?

Breading has an unexpectedly high amount of carbohydrate, at least higher than I expected. I never eat breaded meats. I am struggling -- perhaps I should reframe that -- I am learning maintenance!!

It's strawberry season so I have been enjoying them. I ate a cup last night with some homemade whipping cream and it was heavenly!

I finally shamed myself into doing my Fluidity workout for the first time in many months today, since before I stated LCing. I'm amazed at how much easier it was without quite as much fat to work around. Still a looooong way to go though. Speaking of how far I have to go, I set up a mirror in front of my workout area so I could watch my form. That was depressing. I saw myself from angles I don't normally see and let's just say it's going to be tough to get motivated to get romantic again anytime soon with Mr S. Talk about a mood killer. Yikes.

If you crave breaded chicken, I've found that Perdue simply smart filets are TOO high in carbs. They're much healthier than most chicken you buy in the frozen section. I ate my first piece of fruit since really starting LC in Feb this week. A delicious gala apple! I'm excited to try a few strawberries next week. I'm only down a few pounds, but happy for every ounce of progress.
