Do you guys use fresh lemon juice in the water? Or would bottled lemon juice be ok? I also have the True Lemon, True Lime and True Orange packets I already use sometimes.

The low carb my way plan is exactly what I'm doing. I've been following Dukan since the 5th of Jan and am down 17 lbs, but there are certain things that just don't work long term with that plan. I've kind of been moderating it on my own for the past couple weeks and still lost a few more lbs. Low carb my way is definitely a livable, life long plan!

I look forward to reading about everyone's success!

Cool, I have bottled lemon juice and can pick up some fresh lemons this weekend. I am not drinking enough water and adding some lemon juice might help.

Well I hopped on the scale this morning (i weigh myself every morning) and dropped 5lbs!! Not surprised as I was pretty carbed up from days eating junk.

My menu changed from previously posted, I think I'm gonna post my menu the next day of what I ate vs. before.

Yesterday's menu

Atkins Mixed Berry Shake
pepperoni
dt dr pepper
water
3 buffalo chicken legs w/sliced jalapeno and chunky blue cheese dressing
ground beef with spaghetti sauce and parmasean cheese

I'm working from home today and this is when I usually get into trouble b/c I have so much food right under my nose. I'm boiling some eggs now to make devil eggs later on.

I really need to drink more water, I use to get all of my water in at work and only drink diet soda/crytal light at home. Gotta get back to that regimen.

Is anyone exercising?
Congrats on the 5 lb. loss!! That's great. Deviled eggs sound good, decadant yet low carb. I'm working on the water as well (see above post). I'm not exercising right now, though I should start. I gained 5 lbs. when I exercised a few weeks ago and it freaked me out. I am going to try again after I get back from vacation at the end of March.

I always drink my coffee black but found the best combo, imo, strong black coffee,1-2TBSP hwc,and 1 TBSP SF butter maple pancake syrup.I'm going to start allowing myself one cup of this a day.So yummy.
I been making a netrition list for payday.I'm wanting to branch out and try some "new" LC recipes because frankly,if this is going to be for life,I need to be able to ENJOY it.
List
Guy's Award Winning Sugar Free BBQ sauce (very good)
Glucc powder(never tried)
Almond Flour(never tried)
Mama Lupes(EXCELLENT)
Sensato high fiber Butter Pecan cereal(never)
Splenda Brown Sugar
Guar Gum
Natural Calm(for potty issues)

I want to try these recipes
LC shepherds pie
LC Cream of tomato soup
LC Tuna "Rice" casserole
LC Zucchini Lasagna pie
LC loaded potato soup
I figure if i dont try them I wont know if I like them or notAnyone try any good recipes?
I bought some glucc powder and oat fiber in my last Netrition order to make the "fantastic flour mix". You also need coconut flour or almond flour (I used coconut) and protein powder (I used unflavored whey powder), and egg white powder (though I used liquid egg whites the first time). I made some mini-muffins with it and they were GOOD...My DH and DS loved them too. And I still lost weight after eating them. We liked them so much that I may need to take "grain-free" off of my WOE as I plan to make some more recipes with it. I guess that's the good part about "doing it my way"! I can decide to do that! I'm going to try some more of Linda Sue's "quiches" - the Coney Island Chili Dog Pie was great, I plan to try bacon cheeseburger next. Usually I just stick with simpler meat and vegetables though.

Is the Natural Calm better than just regular magnesium supplements? (I take magnesium citrate). I almost ordered some last time but then took it off.

and yup I got lemons this morning. so refreshing.

low cal. day for me. not hungry (ah the beauty of ketosis)

5 buffalo chicken wings

small portion of sautee chicken and broccoi with a bit of alfredo sauce and parm cheese

3 tablespoons of peanut butter. craving that for some reason. don't normally eat it but right off the spoon was delish.

skip dinner, maybe something small tonight. I got fingers crossed for another lb. down in the morning.

Hey guys, last question on the lemon water (i promise) so do you only use 1 lemon the whole day and mix it with water. Dont want to overdo the lemon x

PS wish i had some low cal days like you guys. I feel like in the evening im still hungry alot. I guess i need to let the low carb ways sink abit.

I exercise too! It sometimes causes me to slow (especially when I'm notably sore), but I LOVE the endorphins and the way it makes me feel. I also know it's helping my clothes fit better even if the scale doesn't always move.

be sure you are keeping your carb very low Focus in the beginning. that way you get into ketosis. and that ketosis is a natural appetite suppressant. Sure you get some hungry days, but most days the ketosis is what is controlling the food, along wtih eating some decadent breakfast. Most days I am 5 bacon and 1 egg and some melted cheese. MAN that kills my appetite for most of the day and if I eat a normal dinner I stay low in cals. and don't want to eat at night.

you will find all the tricks to getting it perfect for you.

I can go thru a whole lemon in a day. lemon juice has carbs, but let me tell ya all carbs are not created equal. you will not gain weight on the juice of one lemon. if you ate the same amt of carbs in something more nasty, then it truly will effect your body. (Remember tho, this is me. I can easily do 1 lemon a day for juicing and never gain an ounce)

Thanks Trigger, i don't have breakfast, i just can't eat first thing in the morning, im the type of person that once i eat something it sets my hunger going and nothing will fill me up. I am definitely going to try the lemon water and see how it goes. Thank you for all your help.

Swimming was soo good last night, and it showed a 2lb loss this morning. So happy. x

2lbs!!! WOW. Congrats. I want that too

I was the same way. Would never eat breakfast over the last 40 years. When I started low carb I decided to try and change my eating pattern. Now I crave breakfast. Before I would be hungry after when I did a low fat/low cal. type diet......but now being I can have bacon, sausage, omlettes crammed full of yummy stuff, it sets me up not to be hungry.

just think about it. because when you eat low fat/low cal. 'skinny diet food' like I did when losing weight before, you starve right after. On a heavier meal for breakfast, I don't starve after. the fatty type meal is satisying and sticks to your ribs.

I never in my life thought I would become a morning eater

Hmmm it makes sense, its just Mon - Fri work days its hard to find time to cook a big breakfast like that. if there was something quick i could do would probably try it.

just random question but how do i add a signature? ive looked in user control, edit option and it mentions show signature but nowhere to actually add one. Do i have to pm admin? anyone know? x

I'm up 0.6 lbs. today from two days ago. I made some of those Fantastic Flour muffins last night and had a couple, but I realized I made them with erythritol/stevia blend last night instead of liquid splenda/torani syrup I used last time. I usually don't eat too many sugar alcohols. Last time I lost after making them. Since I don't have any "gastric distress" with erythritol I think my body does digest it. Ooppsss on the carb count for yesterday. I will be avoiding sugar alcohols for a while! Of course my husband lost 2 lbs. this morning after eating the muffins last night, after having been stalled for a while!

oh I am right there with you. I would never eat before at least 11:30 am.

but just since oct. when I started my plan it is changing. I never thought I would change ever in this life about breakfast. who knew LOL

I am not the 'you should eat breakfast' person at all. I just do it now cause when I started bacon was available to eat, in large quantity, so I started breakfast bacon made me do it.

remember too, it doesn't have to be breakfast food at all.

get a LC wrap and stick in chicken, sliced steak. You can eat anything you want in the morning. hard boiled eggs. nuke dinner from the night before.
