FINALLY! 1.5 lb. drop this morning.

finally broke my bloat. man that water retention was hanging on big time. Now I got that skinnier feeling and I love that. So right now is working on getting more off.

I am changing up a bit. Small meals to equal 1100 cals. thru the day. simple to do really if you eat the right higher fat meals. Maybe I can now get past this point of gaining and losing the same stupid 2 lbs. for the last few weeks. drives me nutso but it is time for the old body to start releasing some weight!

hang in everyone. we can all do this!

Yea, great news on the breakthrough! Somehow I lost 1.3 lbs. between Saturday morning and this morning. No idea how as I feel like I ate a ton on Saturday and I even had a few pieces of popcorn at the movies. Love this WOE!

I am FREEZING lately...I can bump the heat,grab a throw and STILL feel cold.I think there is something thermogenic about carbs??
On the up side,I been spending sooo much time in the bathroom today I expect a nice whoosh tomorrow.Must have been holding water.I eat alot of celery and it has a diuretic effect.So fingers crossed.

B-coffee-black
L-3 ham and cream cheese rolls and celery w/ ranch
S-SF Jello w/ cream cheese and whip cream

Kim, I am cold also. More I lose the colder I get. I will put on a sweater instead of eating more carbs LOL

Stalling

I have been doing a more Atkins approach since January 4, 2013. I lost 11 lbs the first month. I am stuck at that and haven't lost another lb since the first of February. I am exercising and eating lots of veggies. I'm starting to get frustrated and wondering if I need to change my diet.

I usually have one Costco protein shake a day. Meats and lots of salads. Lots of Water and one coffee for breakfast. I was using 1/2 & 1/2 with Splenda for the 1 cup I drink per day, but also use the sugar free creamers too. I do have a glass of red wine a few times a week.

I'm on the treadmill 3-4 times per week, averaging 3-4 miles per day. Help!!
I'm also feeling hungry more. The first month I was never hungry.

I'm cold too! I posted in your other thread. I made the chili dog casserole (I assume the same one...) on Saturday which lead me to say I ate a ton on Sat. I had like 1/4 of it! It was so good, I think it was the first time I had something that seemed like "comfort food" since I started this WOE. But obviously it didn't do me any harm, yea!

11 pounds in 1 month is great! Your body may just be in a recovery phase. Did you exercise that much in January? You may be losing inches but not pounds. How much more do you have to lose? Which Costco shake do you drink? I do drink the Premier Protein ones, but I've switched more to the Atkins Advantage, which has less protein and more fat. Too much protein can stall some people, especially if they are closer to goal it seems (there is a whole subforum called Nutritional Ketosis that is about high fat, moderate protein, low carbs). Looking forward to your posts!

Congrats on the 11lbsLike Misti said your body could just be processing your losses or if your new to exercising it could be the that...it causes water to be retained in your muscles,it can even cause you to gain some weight on the scalethankfully its not fat and will eventually even out.
If you are close to goal it could be calories...I have to eat lowcarb and lower cal to see much weightloss.Some people just stall for awhile for NO apparent reasonIt can be frustrating but just do what you know works and the scale will eventually move again.

I did it. dropped 2 lbs!!! my whoosh came. I dropped that bloat the other day and now I dropped more weight.

getting close to 199. Man I can't wait.



KIM....I think it was the calories. when I did atkins you throw the high fat at everything. but calories do matter to me so when I cut that back, ate good meals thru the day and kept calories in the 1100 area I did great and am dropping again!!

wow it is finally moving forward now instead of the usual up 2 down 2 up 2 down 2. sick of rollercoastering that same few lbs. glad they are gone

Oh,I am sooo glad for you!!I weighed in this am too and I am 2 measly ounces from my February goal...might reweigh in a little bit and see if I can talk that scale into going down more...lol

Hey everyone, sorry havent posted on here often. Been doing really well since the start of the month. As of this morning i reached my Feb goal of 299lb, currently weigh 298.25 my new goal for Feb is 293 .

So many big losers on here. congratulations all! really think this is the perfect thread to keep me on track and stay motivated. x

Im having a rather hungry day10 am and Ive had....
Black coffee
SF lemonade
2 hotdogs w/ 2 TBSP chili(no beans),cheese ,and sourcream
10 almonds
and I could STILL EAT!!!
I got busy yesterday afternoon though and didnt eat, so yesterdays calories were around 500 so my body is saying "your NOT gonna cheat me again today"lol

So I just made my yearly gyn exam for May 23....my goal is to be down at least 60 lbs. total by then, though I would prefer 65-70. That will also be just about 6 months total of LC. My son had a dr. appt. this morning and although I was up 0.4 lbs. at home this morning to 266.6, the scale at his doctor's office said 266 - which was 0.6 pounds less than at home and 0.2 less than I weighed at home yesterday. I'll take it! Yes, I shamelessly hopped on the scale at my son's doctor appointment!

As long as you eat on plan, don't worry if you have a day with a bit higher calories today, sounds like your body needs it. Maybe you are unoffocially JUDDDing? Could work to your advantage!

unintentional JUDDD. hmmm. that could definitely help. I know if I followed JUDDD officially I wouldn't make those 500 cal. and lower days. I saw some only eat like 150-250 cals. man that is nothing. ya might as well fast and call it no food for the day
I am not the type to do that. unintentional low cals every now and then sure, intentionally, every other day, I sure couldn't handle that. I considered JUDDD for a bit then realized I am not the type to follow that strict of a plan. it isn't my way lol

everyone say NO BOUNCE!



I lost again this morning. new current is 202.5. YIPPEE. finally moving solidly toward 199.

I am foaming at the mouth. ate very very light yesterday. typing this and gotta get kid off to school in a minute, and then I want to eat. eat. and eat. I am hungry lol

I will control myself very tight tho. I need to move this past the 2s and into the 100s now.

but breakfast is on my mind

everyone say NO BOUNCE!



I lost again this morning. new current is 202.5. YIPPEE. finally moving solidly toward 199.

I am foaming at the mouth. ate very very light yesterday. typing this and gotta get kid off to school in a minute, and then I want to eat. eat. and eat. I am hungry lol

I will control myself very tight tho. I need to move this past the 2s and into the 100s now.

but breakfast is on my mind
Think CELERY..lol.Low in carbs,full of fiber,filling(2-3 stalks fills me up),and a great diuretic.I like to snack on it inbetween meals.
