Thank Kimberli33 and Adoug4ho it's good to be back on the wagon! Adoug4ho Onederland can't get here fast enough!

Was a tough one yesterday, started off great, but had an emotional break about 9pm. Guess I have to get to bed earlier.

So we weigh in everyday? Can someone please update me on the format.

Much Love and Many Blessings,
Vee

hey guys we got goals.

Onederland for a few of us....and we are knocking on that door!

Kim is close to the 170s and she is shooting for March. AND that dinner sounds fab. Your hubby has a good meal there!! It seems easier this go around. maybe because you realized the foods you eat are what you like. not too strick on the limitations. when someone shoots for moderate carbs, you truly can get alot of food into that group. makes a difference being able to eat what you want. not following some list of food someone tells you to eat. OUR WAY makes it work

HANG IN THERE EVERYONE. I lost 1 lb. of water weight this morning. 1 more to go and then sliding straight toward onederland at full speed. OH MY to put that 199 on my stats will make me so stinking happy!

I can't weigh daily...Maybe we could shoot for an official weigh in once a week???and then people could individually weigh as they see fit? What day should we weigh in?

I weighed in today (Saturday morning). I'm down 30 lbs. total today in less than 3 months!

I am doing a "dietbet" online with some other people, so to "win" I need to lose 4% of my body weight or almost 11 pounds in the next 4 weeks. I've basically been doing that, but I'm not sure I should have put that pressure on myself!

I think I've decided that Atkins Daybreak shakes are not working out as well for me at the Premier Protein shakes from Costco for breakfast. I think I need to worry about overall carbs more than net carbs, and the Atkins shakes have 10 g overall carbs and the Premier Protein have 5 g, even though the net carbs are similar for both. The Premier Protein have a lot more protein (30 g vs. 10 g) but I am not sure protein is that big of a deal for me right now, as long as I get a moderate amount.

Today:
Breakfast: Premier Protein chocolate shake
Lunch: Grilled chicken salad with guacamole, no croutons @ Steak 'n' Shake
Snack: thinking about a peanut butter fat bomb or two
Supper: Broiled chicken thigh with skin, green beans or peppers

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING!!!
Glad to see your still around Karen and doing well.

Misti-30lbs in 3 months is impressiveI'd love to see losses like that.I dont do the shakes but they sound like a good alternative.

Vee-We all shared a Feb. goal like Karen stated...some weigh reguarly..I dont lol.I find weighing too often derails me.I NEED to weigh right now though and im putting it off.IDK whyI'm pretty certain it will show good things..anyways..just one of my issues..haha.

Abby-Onederland is so close...you should be there anyday

dejaht,KennysWife, focus,Marianne, hope you are doing well.sorry if i missed anyone.

Good Morning All,

Yesterday was the first "clean" day! Yeah for me. Funny thing, I wasn't as hungry as I thought I would be, I had absolutely no cravings or desire to munch for no reason (I'm an emotional eater). I actually became full off my lunch, half roasted chicken and slice of cheese (kraft) and I was not hungry for the rest of the day into the night! I was thirsty, I had water of course and fit & active lemonade and peach tea (similar to crystal lite).

On to day two!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
Vee

P.S. Down 2.4lbs as of yesterday morning.

2/09/2013: 262.4lbs

YUM on that 1/2 roast chicken.

Doing well. Didn't drop yet but eating clean and simple for the next few days because I want to commit to losing a bit of weight and that should mean a decent drop down the scale in a few days.

Anyone else do that? Kinda put alot of effort into 4-5 days, drop 2-3 lbs. and then let up a bit? I work for that whoosh with bigger lbs. down and then hold around there, gain up a lb every now and then, work thru it for a few days and then start eating clean and simple for my whoosh again. I kinda whoosh down the scale.

I SOOOO do this! Mine is more of a week-ish cycle. First week, really on point=bigger loses. Next week, more iffy with eating=break even, sometimes even up a pound or two. Then I'm back to a tighter week. It results in slow losing, but again, it's SLOW and can be frustrating.

Last night I went to Bunco, they had food out, of course lots of bad foods, but fortunately they had some summer sausage and cheese bites...so I could at least eat something. I drank water and had a great time. They had Red Velvet Cake with chocolate frosting too...and I passed (by the way, it is my favorite cake).
Stepped on the scale today and got my reward! Down another 2 pounds! Yippee!
Everyone have a blessed day and remember you are amazing!

yea I agree it is a bit slow, but inbetween I like the little bit of a relax of watching everything single thing that goes in my mouth. on my strict times I watch it all, then when a bit looser I can just not worry that a portion size is a bit large.

I am in a hurry, but also not in a hurry By end of May for my florida trip I want thinner, I know I will be there. Might not be goal but the amt. I will have lost by then I know I will happier for that trip. So losing a tad slower and still enjoying an eating plan is a great thing. we'll get there.

Good Morning All,

Ok so yesterday wasn't as great as the day before, so I understand the stall. Boy having children keeps ya eating the darnedest things! Couldn't resist the chicken nuggets and fishsticks LOL Have to put up major willpower toward breaded foods! Today will be a better day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
Vee

P.S. Must incorporate much more water, didn't have a bowel movement yesterday, that's not normal for me. Will up water to a gallon a day, to keep loosened up.

2/10/2013 Menu:
4 slices turkey bacon, 1 tbs butter, 3 fried eggs, 2 slices of cheese, 2 cups lipton decaf tea w/ slice lemon, 1 with splash of lemon juice, 4 pks stevia, 2.11lbs breaded catfish nuggets (1lb lunch, and 1lb dinner), fit and active lemonade and peach tea, 5.5 chicken nuggets, 3.5 fish sticks

2/08/2013: 264.8lbs (Starting Weight)
2/09/2013: 262.4lbs
2/10/2013: 260.0lbs
2/11/2013: 260.0lbs

Down: 4.8lbs Still a bit of progress...Yeah!

I need to be much better on the water too. I know I don't get enough. The water at work tastes terrible so that doesn't help and I only bring about 20 oz. from home each day. I started taking magnesium supplements about a week ago (250 mg magnesium citrate a day) and I found it has definitely helped me "keep things moving" in the bathroom!

Hey for the breaded foods, if you like pork rinds, crush them and coat on chicken. make your own nuggets. Or don't forget parmesan crusted chicken. You can easily make LC subs for breading. YUM too

Thank you so much for the tips ladies! @Mistizoom, I was just saying this morning that I need to get some supplements, wasn't sure which I need. Gonna check into magnesium. @ Trigger, LOOOOVVEEEs me some pork rinds! These are very good ideas, creativity in the kitchen love it! Will try out when I have some time. Right now it's quick and fast for me, precooked or preseasoned popped in oven or on top of the stove. LOL Too much thought or effort in the beginning, I grab the nearest fast food, the one not so good for me!

Still progressing! :-)

Hi Ladies!!
Sounds like you all had a good weekend, lots of good losses.I'm doing good too.I had a planned free meal yesterday.Got right back on plan today .In fact it didnt seem to cause any cravings at all.I havent even ate yet today.
Planning on finger steaks and fried zucchini chips for dinner.
I STILL need to weigh in...but I did have my Mom and Daughter both tell me I look like ive lost a TON already
I seem to have major control over my appetite now, which is a great thing.

I'm lookin at what you'all are eating and it doesn't seem like a lot of dang food Seriously? I have started a lowish carb thing about 6 weeks ago. Pretty sure I haven't lost a nickel, but I know this lifestyle is healthier for me that is for sure.

I do think I'm eating less than I used to, but it's because I'm not usually hungry. If I'm hungry, I eat, but I eat low carb foods. I totally agree with you on the health factor, even if I don't lose any more weight I don't plan to change my WOE because I know it is the most healthy for me.

Here's what I ate today:

Breakfast: Atkins Advantage Milk Chocolate Shake
Lunch: Atkins Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo frozen meal, 1 oz. almonds
Supper: About 7 oz. roasted turkey, 3.5 oz. cream cheese (!!!)
Snack: Arizona diet Arnold Palmer iced tea/lemonade (2 g sugar - need to break this addiction! This is the only sugar I eat!)

I eat alot less also. If you eat good fats you get satisfied with decadent type meals vs. a low fat/low cal. meal of 3oz dry chicken breast and a small salad. I eat 8-10 chicken wings and roasted veggies. that meals fits me, the other makes me hungrier. Not hungry is a natural calorie reduction.

Funeral over and burial today and then done and back to more normal sitatuion. Long day yesterday but late last night I actually opened a bag of fritos. I ate about 2 handfuls and hubby walks into the living room, not saying anything, sticks out his hand, takes the bag, and walks off. HE SAVED ME on that one LOL I was going to dive into that whole bag. Good to have a person around to take things from me

Momatoomany, post one of your meals. lets see what you are eating and might figure out why you aren't losing. You haven't lost anything? we might be able to help.

I just want to thank you all for allowing me to share and be "REAL" about what I'm intaking without judgement! This is so freeing and helps me to take accountability and see where I can use improvement.

The scale is not moving! I went over everything I ate, which was good, and I am even in ketosis. So, I am hoping that I am in the middle of losing inches! Anyone else going through this, or have gone through this? I could really use some insight into what I should do. I am 4 pounds away from 289 (new territory) and I want to reach it this month.

Don't get discouraged...you posted a couple of days ago you lost two pounds. Sometimes the scale doesn't move for a while then you get a whoosh. I've had that happen at least once. Also sometimes it is just slower going than at the beginning. You just have to eat right and stay on plan. I weigh myself often but sometimes if you are not feeling confident it is best not to weigh for few days. How are your clothes fitting?

Truthfully??I quit weighingI can feel the difference,I can see it,i'm NOT going to let a scale bring me down.I mean even others are commenting about my losses...scales can be REAL BOZOSSo idk what the scale might tell me at this point,im just trusting my plan for now.
The 3 things I judge by
#1 Am I hungry all the time???-If the answer is no,then I feel on plan
#2 Am I having alot of cravings??So far not at all-not even after an indulgence meal Sunday.
#3 what is the mirror,my clothing, people telling me.-So far all complimentary.
My BIGGEST problem at this time is I dont care if I eat at all...NOT sure how to take this...Good or Bad??

I have zero appetite right now...It seems rather strange at times, but I've decided to run with it while it lasts.I'm not a BIG believer in starvation mode...not when your body is in ketosis and burning fat for fuel.I actually feel GREAT.I have to work to get in 1000-1200 calories, and I mean work at it.

KW, don't worry. You sure are not in a stall. You are losing. a real stall is like 6-7 weeks without losing, then we gotta get on you and help!

but you are rocking it so just stay the course. the body also needs time to catch up and resettle and then boom, that scale will drop again for you. You lost alot and congrats!!! just stay the course. it will be good for you in the end!
