try an experiment next time, when you get that starved feeling, do every single thing in your power NOT to eat. see how the scale does. I find a good drop most times. not everyone but most do get it if they can really eat light on the weird starving day.
I will if it happens again! I am down a pound from yesterday, but still above my weekend low.

Having such a tough time tonight - so hungry and nothing low carb sounds good. I hate when I hit this part of my LC eating, and I always do. I just have to work through it hopefully. Need to get to town so I can get some items I'm missing that will help me through these times.

I just went to bed. Made it through last night, see how today goes. I had my daughter's lemon poppy seed muffins staring at me last night - drove me nuts lol.

Great job on getting through! I didn't snack last night either but I didn't drink enough yesterday so I think I'm dehydrated. I did lose another pound this morning but I figure it is from not drinking enough yesterday. I updated my sig anyway!

I've made lemon poppyseed muffins with the Fantastic Flour Mix I've mentioned before. They were really good!

Nanner....good job on that willpower. Be sure to hit the store. Us LC people must have snacking options. good ones. you go spend a small fortune at the store but come back with great lc foods

ADOU---202. man you are right there with me. well I am up 1. 201 now.
I jumped into a giant bag of sunflower seeds last night. I ate alot of calories after eating a good bit of food thru the day so the up 1 was expected.

being good today. lose the 1 and in 2-3 days will be 199 I am sure. I gotta be. I am going looney now seriously

Down to 255 today! So that's 45 pounds gone in less than 5 months! And I drank plenty of water yesterday so I don't think it's because of dehydration. The weekend is coming up..more of a challenge as I tend to graze on the weekends. How is everyone else doing?

5 lbs for the big 50 mark Misti! THAT IS GREAT --CONGRATS!

me---the same. no loss, no gain. probably will be that way tomorrow also. but then hopefully eating clean today and pushing water will get me moving down now.

hot outside. hate using the oven. so will be cooking less things actually. will be grilling mostly outside now and when hot I eat way less. espcially working outside. Going to lie out in the sun for an hr to relax.

3 girls coming tonight for kiddos b-day party. sleepover. pizza and movie night for the Croods. lol-------pizza toppings for me only of course.

tomorrow is 9 girls for a 3 hr have fun and play party. yikes

rough weekend for me big time.

hang in there everyone. we can get this done and with a smile on our faces doing it.

Hi! Came across this board and have reviewed the posts Would love to join in the discussion. I like to post daily and talk about what I am eating and how I feel. Been LC since end of Jan 2012 and have hit my 100 lbs lost mark about 3x now then spazz out, binge and gain back. my last binge i'm still up from my lower weight which stinks and I'm back in ketosis (using ketostix) so thats good. I'm finding that today finally my hunger doesn't feel strong at all, thank goodness. last night from stress and boredom i ate an entire thing of cream cheese thru the eve. didn't get on the scale this morning but love that i know my weight is up but oddly my body feels smaller. i work out quite a bit and took a rest day yesterday. i'm trying to stay off the scale and focus on nutrition. i have been using a LOT of HWC and moving into using a LOT more CO instead and today can tell that it is helping (at least I think so). I take thyroid meds and suck at it so forgot yesterday and again today so working to get that habit locked in. Making a doc visit to review my meds. I really want to hit my goal weight this SU and it seems like it just keeps going up and up so i'm hoping soon that I can keep it together and hit my goal! really need to stop stuffing myself at night full of crap i dont even need!

today so far i've had 72g fat, 24 pro, 9 TOTAL carbs which is like 83/12/5 so that makes me a happy camper. i eat a lot of tuna and avo, HWC, CO, cream cheese. always looking for EASY new foods to add in i'm not much into cooking but learning Happy Friday everyone!

Congrats on your success so far! We would love to have you here and help you through any rough spots! I have eaten large amounts of cream cheese at one sitting before myself - at least you are eating fat, that's better than turning to carbs!

Yes, I am finding that when I give in and binge on crap it's LC stuff...like when I buy the atkins bars I eat the entire box, so ridiculous! So, working to battle my binge demons lol...love Brain Over Binge and it has helped me a LOT but still struggle time to time. I am stoked about this forum, so many helpful posts! Having a perfect day so far did my tuna/avo for lunch and now a snack of .5oz HWC and 1 tbsp CO in coffee just to make sure I'm held over until dinner of fried eggs later I'm at about 940 cals eaten so far today and not starving. was trying to cut back a bit today since eating SO much lately. weight is UP so trying to resolve that! My daily calorie goal is like 1800 and I work out a lot so trying to find the right set of stats for me to see weight loss consistently...really wanna be 155 this summer! that's like 20lbs but like 13 of that is binge weight that i'm hoping will come off faster than i know the other 8lbs will...

Hoping to stay on track the entire weekend as well. Love the LC lifestyle so shouldn't be so hard...

I've done well so far for a Saturday

B - Atkins Advantage Shake
L - 2 chocolate peanut butter fat bombs (or candy, they taste more like candy....)
S - diet pepsi
D - chicken fajitas, no tortilla (chicken thigh strips, onions & red peppers cooked in olive oil, cheese, sour cream, salsa, cilantro), 1 chocolate peanut butter fat bomb

Will try to avoid any snacking tonight, but not sure if that will happen or not

Didn't happen.

Not too bad though.

One more fat bomb, a few almonds, and a Arizona diet Arnold Palmer (2 g carbs). I'm done now.

it is a rough change. I started strong. embraced the lc way. then you start to faulter a bit and it does get hard!!!! it is tough working thru all the emotions of giving up all kinds of foods for good. but you get thru that and continue on down the scale. stay the course and your goals are met.
longer and longer on plan the want of certain foods really does disappear. your control gets better and better. all good things

Happy Low Carb Sunday,

Thank you so much for the wonderful Welcome.
I'm a 56 year old mother of 4, Three wonderful boys 30, 29, 16 years old and a beautiful girl who is turning 14 in May, she is our baby..and will never date because she has three brothers and a Dad who are all over 6 foot and very loving and protective...hahahahaha..
No grand babies as yet, like some lucky ladies here..but I'm hoping to have them before I can't play with them any more..lol...
I did Atkins with my Sister in law after the birth of my dauther and was 180 at that time and met my goal weight of 145lbs, and felt and looked wonderful..but slowly over the last 13 years the weight has crept back on and I hit 160lbs...I am 5foot 9 inches tall and so I carry 160lbs ok and high in jeans and jackets and knee lenght skirts and so most of people in my life would think me crazy to want to take off 25lbs but I'm also Asmatic and over the pass 5 years it has gotten worst and I feel the strain on my heart, I also am an emonitonal eater and our small business have been hit pretty hard over that time as well and I go stright to the high carb, sweet foods for comfort...at one time I made time to excise but now I just want to curl up in my bed and stay there so Easter Sunday was the last staw, as I ate my way into the many many sweet things on the table...so I made the decision to find my health way again..My dad who is 91 is a diabetic type 2 and has manage his life style with grace and low carb food and lives very well...so I knew that if I continued along this way of high carb I could end up being a diabetic as well and with Asthma not a good...so here I am..
I started a low carb way of eating the next day have only lost two pounds so far yesterday morning I saw 155 on the scale but back up to 158lbs this morning but I'm not too upset..I think after 40 and no real movement losing becomes a lot more difficult..
In my diet I do eat greek yogurt, good for the gut, and I do eat berries and hazenut butter..and salads..I eat like my parents at this time..I even had a slice of spelt flour bread, my husband baked for the kids yesterday..(before I would have eaten half a loaf)...lol...but I don't have any cavings..I manage on tons of meat..I don't feel as great when I eat fish but I include it in my diet because I enjoy it and it's good for me...I have always cooked with coconut oil..we always did when I was a child, coconut has been always used in my family...
So what I have to do is move more and drink more water.
I am a landscape designer and so from Spring to fall I pretty busy, I hate winter and grey days so that time of the year is hard for me..
So that my truth.
Have a great day everyone.
Joy
