!

I that Jimmy Johns has an UNWICH! Plus it is tasty too! Which is a bonus!

I also eat at a mexican place pretty frequently. I do the same as you, fajitas with no beans, no rice, no tortillas...sneak some chips and salsa. n Sometimes I go with guac instead of salsa.

Nice loss! Keep up the good work!

Spring Break is finally over. We did not go anywhere, son had High School Baseball locally. 2-3 games every day. Pregame at 10 am and would not get back home until 9-10 pm. LONG DAYS! I was glad to be able to stay home today and get caught up on all the housework and laundry from the week! WHEW!

Monday starts back to school schedule and games every night.

There were many days I would pack him sandwiches and pack myself a cup of my chicken salad on salad greens for our lunches. Far better for both of us than spending crazy money at a concession stand with no decent food options for either of us. Occasionally I would have a hot dog or brat with mustard, no bun.

Feel less bloated, have not weighed or measured this past week. I will do so tomorrow I guess. Fingers crossed! A week ago I had a road trip to go get daughter from school for her spring/Easter break, then brought her back. Gained like 4# every week she's home! Here's hoping that I at least LOST that!

Hi everyone new and wants to join in and chat

whew. few days on vacation with a 'bit' of extras and man it is hard to get back on my strict plan.

I battled a few days after and today is the day I feel settled. ate clean, low in calories, no idea of extra food in my brain. MAN OH MAN. I swear it is easier to not eat a bit off plan sometimes to keep the munchies at bay

so today will be my restart and I got a good feeling that I can start rocking down the scale again.

food was some pepperoni and cheese, bit of tuna/mayo for late breakfast
salad for lunch
1 1/2 pork chops

that is it for today. did well. pushing tons of water

so settling back down into my routine. spring break for kiddo is over so back to school and my old daily routine can kick back in

hope everyone is hanging in there and doing well!!

hey everyone,

Welcome Deb3542!! i love this thread and i am sure you will too. post often, it really helps.

Was off plan on saturday but 100% clean yesterday and now at my lowest weight this year of 289.5lb!! Happy with that. During the work week i find it so much easier to stay on plan than weekend so it should hopefully keep the scales going down for the next few days. March goal of 285lb is within reach! x

Good job getting rid of those NO longer/never to be needed again clothes!!I know you can do this long term We all got this!!Mind over matter!
I havent done to much exercise for a long while...I need to quit fearing it stalling me!!Only GOOD can come from it so im being silly,I need to start lifting weights-to stay toned and want to start walking too but its snowing, sleeting, raining, and ice storming here today so walking outdoors will have to wait.

yea Kim I hear ya on the 2-3 lb play time. ugh.

I think that is so true about needing a break. body and mind.

one nice thing is I know I won't ever go back to eating junk like before. that just isn't going to happen, so if I hang around a bit with the play of 2-3 lbs I feel ok about it in a way. I know once I commit again I will drop lbs again.

time to recommit

I have chicken wings in the oven now for lunch.

I will report back on the guys sauce tonight when I eat chicken.....again lol

It's really a mental game, isn't it? Mind over matter....

I agree with Kim the Guy's BBQ sauce (original) is good, but my 10 year old says it's a bit "spicy" for him (really it's not very spicy at all) so I'm still on the hunt.

good thing for me I like spicier things.

I would think taking out the sugar would mean adding in spices to make it more appealing maybe???

It does have some sweetener (sucralose) it's just not as sweet as my son is used to. DH and I liked it though. Which variety did you get?

We had chicken wings for supper - deep fried with Frank's red hot + butter sauce. Yum.

B - Atkins Advantage Shake
L - 1 oz. peanuts, Atkins Roast Turkey Tenders with Herb Pan Gravy frozen meal
D - 12 pieces buffalo chicken wings (=6 whole wings!), homemade blue cheese dip
S - 2 peanut butter chocolate fat bombs, Arizona Arnold Palmer diet iced tea/lemondae (2 g carbs)

Great job on another half pound gone! We have similar stats (my high weight a couple of years ago was 327), and I know it is hard to stay on track sometimes when the goal seems so far off. But this time, I'm really doing this for my health, and I'm trying to consider the weight loss is a *very desirable* side effect. So for me, I am thinking this is a lifelong way of eating, and if I mess up one day I try not to let it completely derail me. After I posted my food for yesterday last night I did have a no sugar added ice cream bar which I really didn't need and I wasn't hungry, I was essentially eating because of work stress (I have a small project I need done NOW and I'm posting here instead of doing it!! I'm great at avoidance!) I am up a bit from my weekend low (257.8 today) but as long as I stay on track I know the scale will get lower soon. It is worth it to stick with it! I am finding many things are much easier to do than even 40 lbs. ago when I started.

thanks guys. man I am trying to get this happening in a good way for me again.

your mind goes a bit when you are losing so fast in the beginning, then the tired of it all kicks in, then ya gotta re-start that motivation. harder to lose a lb.

but eventually like Misti said, if you don't let things derail you and keep the eye on the final prize, we all can bust thru the humps!!!!

ADOU---how are you doing? are ya near the 199 like me. we are hanging out in this area. hope we both get'er done!

I don't know what's up with me today. I'm starving! I never get this hungry! I'm drinking water too. I think we are going out to supper so I am going to eat as much as I want (LC of course) and not worry about it, I guess.

B - Atkins Advantage Shake
Snack - 1 oz. peanuts, Atkins Daybreak Shake
L - Atkins Beef Merlot frozen meal
Snack - 1 oz. peanuts
D - ????

I gotta tell ya Misti when I get that starving feeling, if I am very careful I get a BIG whoosh down the scale.

every time I have that feeling, and I commit even harder to fight it, I swear the scale can drop 3-4 lbs in an instant the next morning.

try to be super good. believe you me you will benefit from it. most do, I hope you do also.

ACK...I didn't see this before I went to supper! Though I did fine for the most part, we went to a BBQ place and I had smoked turkey, beef brisket, some green beans, a small salad with ranch and a little bit of cole slaw, about 2 tsp. bbq sauce and 1 tortilla chip. Lots of protein and not very much fat but otherwise pretty good. I will stay away from the fat bombs I made tonight, as I'm not hungry.

you did pretty good. not bad at all. sounds yummy !

try an experiment next time, when you get that starved feeling, do every single thing in your power NOT to eat. see how the scale does. I find a good drop most times. not everyone but most do get it if they can really eat light on the weird starving day.
