MK, he was supposed to fly south of the storms, but ended up flying through Chicago instead of Houston. He made it home, it was just a long day for him. He is pretty level headed so he handles it all really well. (and he is in the middle of Game of Thrones on his Kindle, so he had plenty of reading to keep him company)

For some reason I have been stuffy and miserable all winter!

Fun but quick weekend. DH and I did some errands and pretty much hung out all weekend. DD25 and DSIL invited us over for dinner Saturday night. We had homemade pizza....a supreme and a chicken basil. I must say DD is pretty lucky to have him not only be the chief cook, but an amazing one as well. Then we played Bananagrams! Fun game! Yesterday we went and bought DSIL's bday gift - then DH said it was too big and heavy to bring home........it was a work bench for their basement........so we dropped it off! He was thrilled!

Busy week ahead and more snow on the way. So.tired.of.winter.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Kelly, how is DS? I know you are enjoying him being home!

My DH is stiil having cold symptoms. Bad winter.

Had a great race yesterday. Was exhausted last night but did watch Oscars. I only saw Les Mis.

Went Bridesmaid dress shopping. Found a dress only to find out it is a close out and one of the girls just had a baby and wants to wait to buy it. We fear it may not still be available so shopping again in May. Mrsa done with school then and just doesn't have any free time.

I work 12 today. DH leaves for Florida conference tomorrow. I won't see him till Saturday in LA.

Heard a running friends 53 year old husband died suddenly. I work with someone who knows them from their Church. I feel bad for Mary and her kids. My DH gave her daughter who has CP a job one summer. He was visiting her at college in North Carolina when he died.

Hi!
Still feeling miserable - but glad I'm not alone!

DS23 was here last night and today and I couldn't even enjoy his visit!

We ran a few errands together and I bought him an early birthday present - a great black suit and black shoes.
He's ready for anything - interview, wedding, funeral, whatever.

Guys are so easy!

Thought it was just my allergies but its been worse this winter.

Grocery shopped, napped and now waiting for John to get home.

Debbie, how sad about your running friends husband. Great pic of you on FB!

Cindy, it suuuuure would be nice if you kept that snow there and would be even nicer if Kelly sent us some good weather or maybe Debbie would bring some back next week!

Heard a noise? Kitten + noise = Disaster. Bbl and the washer just rang. Grrrr!

Oh boy, between the weather, work, and stomach bug just haven't done much online but check what storm is coming next.

Another on it's way today, and we have to get to Ann Arbor in the morning for a colonoscopy for DH (yet again, poor guy). So the normally 2 hour drive might be slow going and then getting him home while feeling icky. Hoping for clear roads.

I ended up in a ditch on my way home from work on Saturday (first time in years). Our back road was a solid sheet of ice, going slow and tapped my brakes for the first curve. Went totally in a circle and ended up in the Collin's ditch backwards. Miraculously missed the mailbox and flagpole and went between them with inches to spare! (The same mailbox my DD took out 2 years ago...Hey, they live on the curve and it gets taken out every winter! )
Did the 'forward/reverse' rocking thing and was surprised to gain some ground backwards then got enough momentum to drive right out. Turned back around and creeped slowly home. Was glad I could quickly get it out myself as DH wasn't answering his phone and it turns out they were far away on the other side of the county so wasn't near enough to help anyway! I got out on my own just fine, never even had to get out of the car or get my shoes wet. No harm, no foul. Me, the car, the mailbox and the flagpole were damage free

You'd think a stomach bug would be a jumpstart to dropping a few pounds, but no, did the 'I don't feel good I can eat whatever I want to feel better' thing. Didn't gain any, but still stuck where I've been since after the holidays.

For those of you with continual stuffy noses...I've kept a steam vaporizer running in the living room 24/7 for the past month and it's really helped keep the sinuses (and my skin) much more hydrated in the dry furnace air. When it runs out of water I notice the difference within hours! So it does help.

Lately it seems 'If it's not one thing, it's another' and have been feeling overwhelmed even though everything is pretty much under control. Nothing out of the ordinary but just seems like stuff piles up and the next thing you know you're buried with things that need to be taken care of NOW all at once. Chip them off one at a time the best I can I guess.
Oh. And naps. They help!

My poor chickens have had to be literally cooped up for weeks while it's been so cold and snowy. Only getting one or two eggs a day from the lack of sunlight. Giving them extra treats to keep them happy.

Out of milk and stamps so must run to town before our next batch of 'weather' gets here.
Hugs to all my favorite short ladies. Hang in there..I'm sure spring is right around the corner!

Kaye, glad you survived the ditch and could get out on your own.

We have been lucky with weather so far this winter. No major snow or ice. Just cold.

I am having a lazy morning but need to go to the post office to stop the mail while I am gone and cancel the paper too. I need to buy a few toiletries so should do it today. Thursday will be busy since I work Friday and leave for the airport 5am Saturday.

MK, hope you feel better soon.

Kelly, bet your busy as usual and enjoying your son being home.

Cindy, some times furnaces and ducts are filled with dust nd allergens. Maybe that is it.

Becky,I liked the FB photo but wish I had taken the gloves I stuffed in my belt out.

I really need to get things done today so my laziness must end. I have a mandatory work education thing to complete on the computer before I go away too.

I'm better - just still icky and sore muscles.
And I have to walk the dog in the cold rain . . .

Kaye - what an adventure!! I'm so glad you got out fo the ditch!!
And you're right - when you get the flu you're SUPPOSED to lose weight.
It's required!
Check again!

Becky - what did kitten + noise =????

Debbie - that is a great picture!! Are you excited for your trip?!

Cindy - I've been stuffy too - it's been a long winter!

MK... Kitten + noise = a downed shower curtain. She got caught up in it and couldn't get out so she just RAN and pulled it down, thank God it's on a spring type rod so it just left loose and didn't ruin it. She always has the look of "well... I don't know hOw THAT HAPPENED!

Making chick and dumplings with reduced fat grands. Last time I couldn't find the biscuits and used RF croissants... Had a dish of messed up cooked flour-broth. So I found the grands and using that. I usually use the grands and it works great. I know croissants don't work now!

Kim has the late couple tonight so she won't get out til about 850, has to pick the girls up and I told her to eat here and then she doesn't have to try to make dinner before she goes. Alyssa wants the dumplings and hot dogs, Gracie wants hot dogs but she will end up wanting the dumplings too. She's so predictable,

Don't know how I did this week, had my Jenny food but are out a few times. And only exercised one time at the gym with my niece, just haven't had th energy and had to majorly push myself to meet her on Friday,

MK... Last I saw u were getting Phil's cold, did it turn into tr flu? It's wicked this year. I've had it for about 10 days now and just can't get completely over it. I stopped and got some Vitamin c yesterday. I just want to feel good again, this has been a bad winter for me!

Cindy, did u get more snow? We are having rain today and is suppose to start changing over to snow sometime tonight.

I got done of the BEST peaches yesterday at Dots market in Bellbrook. I got some at Kroger and they were horrible. Mom wanted some on Friday and I told her not to get them cuz I got burned on them. I might stop and get her 2-3 before I go to take her to get her bloodwork done on Thursday,

Debbie, when do u leave for CA? It will be a nice break from the dull wintry weather! Bring some back and drop a little to Mk and to me as u fly by!

Be back later.

Hi!

Yes, Phil gave me the flu.
What a nice guy!

And they predicted snow for us too, but so far, just a few snow showers - nothing is sticking.

It's supposed to stay above freezing, so we might get lucky.

Been having right foot pain since Sunday. Not running tonight. Took ibuprofen and ice and it feels better.

I made appt with podiatrist for Thursday. I will see how I feel. In the mean time I am nit running till it goes away. I work 11-3 tomorrow but there is a 9:30 inservice and 10 am staff meeting.

I got all my errands run, laundry folded. Stopped my mail. I forgot about the paper but will do it. DS21 will be here when I am gone. He is usually at his girl friends house.

I have to pack and really need to plan out what I need.

I leave Saturday and we fly back together Thursday. The convention starts Sunday.

I will be helping and need to dress nice but not dressy.

DH is in Florida. Says they had to fly around storms. Bad rain coming here. Already messy. I am glad I am not at the track but sad I can't run right now. It isn't bad pain but I won't get rid of it pounding it running.

MK, I hope your flu isn't horrible. People say even their eyes hurt.

I better go stop the paper. I will do it on line.

I need to find pretty black flat comfortable sandals because with foot pain heels will be out. Been trying on and laying out clothes.

Saturday night dinner out: pants and blouse should be OK. Have new navy pants. I also have a few shirt options.

Sunday I work registration table socoukd wear skirt or pants. There will be evening cocktail reception where I will wear a dress. That is kind of how Monday-Wednesday will go. If I have down time I will sit at pool or walk around Beverly Hills. I want to see some sites too. DH will be busy. There are some wives I could hang with I guess.

Just got interrupted with FaceTime session with Isabella in the tub. The wonders of technology.

Looking forward to Smash tonight. May go get my ironing done.

DS21 and his GF are here so I am not alone.

My problem is I need shoes that put minimal weight in my metatarsal area. I have sandals that heel height.

I have never heard of that brand. I wonder where they sell it here.

Off to investigate.

They sell that brand at Nordstrom.

It is right near DSW so I may go to both tomorrow after work

I need something very comfortable that I can wear with dresses and I would wear a wedge or heel normally. Praying the pain gets better and my current shoes will be fine.
