I wrote a post this morning before running but it didn't go through.

I really enjoyed NY. The only things I bought were at Red Door Spa. DH treated me very well. Honestly I wouldn't have bought it all but the lady doing the facial told him I wanted it. I feel guilty.

Ate too well. Good gluten free in NYC.

DH not feeling well.we ran some errands and not going anywhere tonight.

Jenn, the party sounded great. I never was creative with parties and only had them places like miniature golf, bowling etc.

Tomorrow is Isabella's party. It is at their apartment. I bet it will be crowded but we will make it work.

MK-nope, the tape came right off the walls! I tried to do a party after school started last year, but it was so hectic with back to school stuff going on. Too many activities starting back up!

Debbie-hope your DH feels better soon!

Mandy came home around 930, MK! She's been pretty loopy all day. They gave her a pain shot before we left. I'm glad she's home, it was a long 24 hours! Gosh, hers was done laser, my other cats have been done old school and Guinie had to stay 2 nights and 3 days cuz she wouldn't put weight on her paws and kept bleeding. Mandy had it easy! Of course she probably doesn't think that way!

Debbie, what color of dress are you looking for? Are the kids getting married in a synagog? I bet Isabella's party will be fun. I still can't believe she's 2 now! Time in little kid sense goes fast, especially from a grandparents prospective!

MK... Lots of moving in your life! Our first 3 years of marriage we moved a lot, like every year! I was glad to get our first house just so we could settle down!

Cindy, are u still in Milwaukee? I love the pic of you on FB! Love your hair!

Kelly, send us some warm weather! I'm sick of snow!!!

Isabella's 2 on Tuesday.

DS28 getting married at a place called Thorpewood. It is almost an hour north in the middle of no where. It is the only place they visited and they loved it. I have seen pictures and videos but haven't been able to go there when they have had open houses. Rebecca's mom and dad did go there.

We moved a lot early in our marriage.

I am going to meet some people to run at 8. Much colder out!!

I noticed how pretty Cindy's hair is too. Mine is boring short brown hair. I need to color it. Getting it cut Sunday.

Two weeks from yesterday I will be in LA for DH's annual convention.

Better get dressed to run.

Party is at 2:30 today.

Hi Ladies!

Fun day in Milwaukee.
Did end up getting a new sweater, two new long necklaces and some earrings.
We always have to go to H & M, Forever 21 and the Targets down there. Time was limited as most of the time was waiting and meeting with catering manager.

Came home and DSIL was here and he and DH had grilled burgers, so we ate and watched Taken 2.

Thanks for the comps on my hair - I have to say I have never been happier with the looks and the condition. All thanks to my hairstylist!

Glad Mandy is doing better Becky!
Debbie - sounds like some great treats from Red Door!!! Hope Don is feeling better!
Fun party Jenn, but lots of work!
MK, DS and GF only there overnight?
Kelly - DS comes home this week!!!!

Errands, laundry, groceries, some cleaning and re arranging today. MK, tell me about it - I wish I could have one day at home a week.....and I don't mean the weekend!

Just a quick good morning. DS15 & I are volunteering for a 10k that benefits our local MS & HS sports. It's not nearly as early as the one we help with in the summer.

One of his really good friends just moved. He actually left with his dad just after Christmas to start in his new school but his mom & little brothers have been here wrapping things up with the move so he's had a couple of weekends back. Anyway, the moving truck came yesterday so...
We tried to let the boys get some extra friend time so I had a houseful all day while DH & I did yard work. (I'm sure DS15 didn't mind getting out of yard work either). They are a super nice family & we'll miss all of them. I know they are excited though. (he's a college football coach & is now the head coach at a division I school, he replaced one of the Harbough brothers when he took the job at one of our local colleges a few years ago)

I went to spin class, did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, made Italian beef and a broccoli/ mushroom salad and now off to take a shower!

Cindy - Pics of your new clothes?
And yes, DS23 and Emily are only here for one night.
She moves into her new apartment on Tuesday. He'll stay a couple of days with her and stop here on Friday/Saturday on his way back to Milwaukee.

Sometimes I feel like all i do is move stuff around!

Kelly - so sad when friends move away!!

Debbie - enjoy the party! Can't wait to see pics!

Becky - snuggle with Mandy!

Nice party just aunts, uncles and all the first cousins minus 2.

Brought my own gluten free pizza. Use an Udi's shell with pizza sauce and mozzarella.

Will post photos.

Had a fever all day yesterday. Feel like I'm on the upside but very week. I called off for professional development day which is frowned upon but I truly was sick. None of the coworkers will understand! Grrrrr.

Be back later girls!

Becky, sorry you are sick.

Mirsa's day care is closed today. Isabella has been running a fever off ad on the last 3-4 days. She is fine accept during the night.

I have to work. DH is off. I have a fairly busy week.

Cindy, love your daughters website and work.

I really need to get ready for work. It may be a holiday but we don't get paid extra for this one.

I got an 11 appt with my doc. Maybe I can get something for this cough and a note for work. I'm sure I will get some snide remarks so maybe this will shut them up!

My husband has the cold that won't end. He took antibiotics for his sinus infection. I think it is all viral and antibiotics fairly useless.

Good morning-

I'm detail cleaning this week. (my parents will be here for part of DS19's visit, which will be fun, but I always get a little crazy with the cleaning before they come. Its probably a good thing they visit several times a year because it keeps my baseboards and under and behind stuff clean, LOL)

We did our pre-spring yard clean-up this weekend and planted flowers yesterday. My backyard looks (mostly) pretty again. I'm ready for the wisteria and roses to bloom too, but that won't happen for a while yet. We also (already) have whiteflies on one of the hibiscus plants again. They are super hard to get rid of and they will kill everything in the backyard. We decided to try a more natural solution and ordered live ladybugs to release in the backyard. They should be here later this week. Hopefully, we saw it soon enough this year so that the ladybugs can happily rid my backyard of pests. Last spring/summer DH sprayed pesticide about once a week and while we managed to save the plants, we never completely got rid of the bugs.

Debbie, I hope your DH is able to get some rest so he can get better. Its hard to get rid of a virus when you are constantly on the go.
Thanks for sharing Isabella's party with us. She is so adorable! I can't believe she's already TWO!

Becky, take care of you and don't worry about the snide remarks! Feel better! (maybe next time you should just share your germs and make everyone sick. )

Cindy, so exciting for your DD! I haven't made it to FB yet, but can't wait to take a look at her page!
Its so much easier to get things done when you have a day without other people at home. (especially if you can manage not to have other stuff scheduled too)

MK, hope you had a nice visit with your DS23 and Emily. You've been busy too.

Jenn, the party sounded adorable! My guys all love minecraft too. (that would include DH) They set up a server so all the college boys can play together. DH is on the server with them (he actually set up a dedicated computer that is always on that only runs the minecraft server so they can play at 3am if they want) he says he will frequently see major "builds" that "miraculously appear" when the college guys all decide to play in late at night.

Kaye, hope your week is off to a good start. I'm sure you are busy with work and the girls and just life in general.

Morning!

Crazy day yesterday!

Found a bird flying around my kitchen after I got out of the shower and with help from the kids managed to get a window open and shoo it out.

After getting DS23 and Emily out the door, I went to the gym, PEO, and then home to walk the dog.
After dinner it started the windy, icy, sleeting mess that knocked out the power from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am . . . I woke up several times during the night . . . so today should be interesting!

Busy day...

Becky, hope you are starting to feel better!

MK, my daffodils and tulips don't always come up because our winters aren't always cold enough for bulbs. People actually dig them up every year and put them in the freezer and replant them in the spring. (we just wait appreciate them when they come up and if they don't we know they'll be back eventually, I certainly don't dig them up every year!)

Debbie, hope you get everything done today.

Went to dentist and tailor. Love the pants I bought. Thinking I need to buy some new shoes before I go away. Will hit DSW tomorrow or Thursday.

I need to go color my hair.

I can't seem to beat the fatigue I have been getting but otherwise I am fine. I am not sleeping well so I get tired during the day. I will rest up when I go away for 6 days. Well two are travel cross country days.

MK, we don't see many birds this time of year.

Becky, they do say the flu is not as bad when you get the shot. I hope you get better quickly.

Cindy, I like Milwaukee. Not sure we will have the opportunity to go there for business again though.

Kelly, I clean like crazy before my mom comes. Everyone leaves so they don't get in my way or need to help.

I better go put the color on.

MK, we once had a nest in our garage on top of the garage door motor. Never inside.

Hair color on.
Twenty more minutes trying not to get it on anything.

Nasty out. Snow, sleet and rain! Yuck.

Can't wait for LA weather. Hope it is decent when we go.

Mk... I see birds inside my house all year long! but not in my kitchen for obvious reasons! birds and kitchens don't mix although johns mom had hers in the kitchen. Overheating Teflon can kill a bird so fast cuz it gives off a fume that is toxic to them. Plus... Bird dropping around the kitchen is just plain nasty! John hated it when he would have to eat there for holidays!!! My kids have a LARGE closet that is my bird room where the fireplace would have gone but the people that built the house didn't put a fireplace in. We get them in the kitchen fan duct where they fall in from the roof. It hasn't happened for a while, it probably will now! Lol.

So ready to get rid of this flu. The fever leaves only to reappear again! Ugh. And along come the chills with it.

I'll be back later. Having a horrible pork chop craving that need to leave!

We had a bird in our kitchen vent and had to pay a guy to get it out. Had issue in chimney too but got a cover to keep them out.

Cooking a meat loaf for dinner. I buy gluten free bread crumbs. Not as good but what I need to use. Baking sweet potatoes. All to be reheated after our track workout. Not sure DH will run but he is in charge tonight. A few coaches out.

I just had the yummiest throw together lunch. I didn't measure anything but I put chicken broth (could use veggie broth I would think and then it would be vegan for Cindy's DD) a head of broccoli, and half a large sweet potato on to boil with salt, pepper, and a variety of indian spices (whatever sounds good to you, the spices could be adjusted to any ethnic variety I would think) I let it boil until the sweet potato was mushy and then I added some coconut milk (the kind in the can that is thick) and made it creamy with my immersion blender and adjusted the spices. So fast and so yummy!

I have a beef stew in the crockpot for dinner tonight. Its rainy today, of course after I washed all of my outdoor cushions and left them outside to dry, and everyone has different schedules tonight so the crockpot is good. DS15 has his first day of HS swim practice after school.

I need to get busy again, my to do list is only about 5 miles long.

I don't own an immersion blender. I want to make soup because hard to find gluten free soup. I think it is he cold damp weather making me crave soup.

I want winter to end. I would say we have around 4-6 weeks left but who knows.
