Can't sleep, I have bronchitis and slept for the first time in 3 days (good sleep) and the darned security place for johns work called... At 150 am! And I have to get up at 530 and wide awake now!

Not much planned today other then running tonight, some cooking and things around the house.

Good morning-

DS15 is feeling better and back into his routine. I need to decide if I'm going to let him go to practice tonight or not. If he goes I will drive him rather than have him ride his bike home with a wet head after the sun goes down and it gets chilly.

Becky, the Valentine box party is a party to pack Valentine care packages for kids away at school. I had one Monday night, everyone brought something to go in the box. There was a lot of chocolate, but also pretzels, trail mix, and even toothpaste & dental floss. It was a fun way to catch up with friends that you don't see as often now that our kids aren't here.
(DS19 says its just an excuse for all of us moms to get together, drink wine, and talk, but he's happy to get the care package, so I should make sure I go every year)

Debbie, its good to have a quiet day from time to time. I need to figure out what we are having for dinner tonight. DS19 still doesn't really have an appetite so I do have leftovers. He did at least eat a little breakfast this morning. (he had half a bowl of leftover chili)

I made baked ziti because DS21 loves it and easy to heat and serve. Plus I bought hamburger on sale. I also made crack slaw with the other pound or so of burger as I had ingredients and also easy to reheat after running. I see I am low on eggs. Now I have to go to store for eggs.

Trying to round up addresses for cards I am working on. Need to get for women who lost her son.

Though no dental floss in our boxes . . . though we did have silly string!

We also make them for Halloween, and finals.
So we get together 4 times a year.

I've been feeling queasy since Monday - so I only stayed about 30 minutes at the party. This has not been a fun week so far.

I slept well last night - first time in a long time!

Nothing new here - a usual week. Work has been busy. Weather has been weird. More snow yesterday, freezing rain over night - most schools delayed here two hours.

MK - hope you are feeling better!

I think it's cool you ladies do those care package parties - what a great idea!

Drama at work due to where we sit and the break table being right outside our space......I have never seen grown women act so immature!

Also - sad day in Green Bay - Donald Driver retired yesterday. He promised this community he would never wear another uniform and he made good on his promise. What a legend he is. Check out this story - one of the many reasons and just an example on what kind of guy he was:

One more day off before work and busy Saturday.

DH went to Florida till tomorrow. Just one night awake.

We will be in NYC next Wednesday and Thursday.

Since I stopped gluten my stomach is much better, it isn't easy though. I hate not being able to eat pasta or pizza at Italian restaurants. I can make it at home but dinners out more challenging.

I have upped my carbs and weight still good. Will see what it is tomorrow as it is my weigh in day. I can be down all week but up again on Friday.

I'm following the re-introduction of specific foods after my 30 days of very strict paleo. (I didn't really do this last time) Anyway, I'm surprised to find out that my body doesn't really like most dairy things. Butter seems to be okay, but heavy whipping cream left me congested and milk made me queasy and bloated.

Been fighting the "gunkitis" all week and now Alyssa has it and Gracie is getting it. I need some me time bad! Had Gracie since last night, Kim has worked all day and its just us sickly ones today. My big excursion was to take Mandy to the vet for her shots, she gets declawed next Friday, then hopefully she's is done with stuff for a while.

I ordered some purses for Kim and I late last night. I wish someone would have a purse party so I can give them my orders. I <3 those purses! Love just having to buy the shells cuz we both have our base bags!

Kim is going to the grocery after work, then I have to run back and get johns and my prescriptions. I was going to ask Kim to pick them up, I called and iota $104 so I'm going to have to run and get them. I hope she goes fast cuz I don't want to be running out late.

MK, I'm giving it time with the dairy experimentation. I've known HWC sometimes makes me snotty for a long time. (but it can be so worth it!) I had a glass of milk this morning with no problems, it could have been something else I ate that upset my tummy earlier in the week. I'm going slow with dairy since supposedly they are all a little different, so I haven't tried cheese yet. Just happy that butter is definitely not a problem!

I was planning to make a nice hearty stew for dinner tonight, but at the grocery store there were exactly THREE NY Strips that were cheaper than the stew meat, so it was like it was meant to be! I love it when I can walk out with a really nice dinner for not very much. I ended up getting the steaks, veggies and a bottle of wine for $25! Can't beat that when we're trying to fill up a teenage boy & two adults!

Gunkitis is a good name. DH's cold turned into a sinus infection but he is better.

Thanks for the comments on the FB video. I admit I watched over and over.

Work was very busy. Poor people waiting so long to be seen. Glad I left after 8 hours because it was a long tiring day. That said I am in bed. Watching a show on Fox I need to save on DVR because Fox doesn't have shows online the same as NBC and ABC. The show is called Touch.

Off to DD23's wedding dress appt and she's going to take a look at what we are doing for mine! Then breakfast with the girls. DH is off to Chicago for the day with a friend - there is a motorcycle show there.

Debbie - I showed DD25 that video too - she thought it was adorable as well......it is one of the cutest video's I have seen!

Just came back from 14 mile run. DH is still out there. I did 2 before group run and around .8 after to up my miles. I feel it now.

Later going Isabella birthday shopping and to dollar store. Not much else going on.

I did a spin class this morning, home showered, helped at a Volunteer Appreciation Reception at church, finished season 2 of Justified, watched a little TV and now to bed.
