Hahah I hate ferries with a wild abandon. I always fly out, if I'm traveling, unless it's just to Van, which isn't often.

I just really like the size and feel of Nanaimo, and the island is pretty!

My sis lives in Nanaimo and I watched her spend a small fortune ferrying her daughter over here for competitive sports. It was every other w/end! And the TIME. For tournaments they HAD to get a hotel room with the rest of the team even tho she has lots of family & friends she could stay with.

We could easily move to the Island but I think they get as much rain as we do here. Well, maybe not US as Coq has the most in the Lower Mainland...but as much as the rest of the area, LOL.

Funny how few us want live here!! I was born here so I'm used to being a drowned rat.

I'm from NS, there's more rain and a ton more fog and snow there than there is here. We get less rain in Nanaimo than Vancouver, from what I can tell... I dunno, the weather is fine lol, much better than the east coast, I guess it's all relative.

I hate rain

I just read a report on Fort St John today at work and it was glowing about how great it is up there and how they get a bad reputation for the cold. Winter is suppose to be cold!! Almost made me want to move there - they really focus on community and families. Something sorely lacking here. Oh wait...so is affordable housing

Another good day. Eating on plan, 6,901 steps + my walking tape.

I just realized that today would have been my 12th Anniversary of joining Atkins .... had I stayed on the plan and tomorrow will be my 1 Year Anniversary of getting back on plan. Feeling grateful that I weigh less this year than last.

Stephanie ~ Thanks for the tips about the bars and it will be great getting to know you.

Hockey-Gal ~ We have just opened 7 affordable housing apartments in Armstrong, BC.
