I have, today is actually the first day I've been able to talk normally in over a month. I feel good today. My doctor has put me on so many meds. I was trying to reduce them not add to the pile dang it.

Very discouraged with myself, since I've not been feeling good haven't really bothered watching what I have been eating. So, am still hovering back and forth between 218-222. I put my swimsuit on yesterday and was just disgusted. Boobage hanging over the top, rolls everywhere, just disgusting. So not looking forward to being on the beach, and the beach is my favorite place in the world.

I actually got up tp 204

I was so disgusted that I was heading back up - Low carb just does not do it for me anymore - I went to this weght loss place and I am now on a fat free plan with appetite supressants and other vitamins. As of this morning, I am down to 197 since last Wednesday -

They really give you good stuff to eat and the pill really helps so we will see.

I know that low carb works, I just can't get into that frame of mind. When I think of low carb, just heavy foods come to mind and I'm not in that place right now. I'm thinking of doing what I did a few years ago....I would have Special K Red Berries in the morning with skim milk and splenda, sometimes added a few strawberries, or would have yogurt. For lunch I had an apple and Triscuits, would sometimes have cottage cheese and pears in light syrup, and for supper, I had what I made my family but just a few spoonfuls and no snacks, no sugary drinks, etc. I lost 40 pounds in two months and felt really good. This is what my doctor is stearing me towards also....so if I can get fully over this creeping crud I've had, going to try to start this Monday. I know I cant' lose much before we leave for vacation, but anything will make me feel better! Congrats on your loss! I've just about decided that whatever works that you can make into a life style is what you should follow! I'm not dissing low carb because it does work, it just has never worked long term for me, I can't seem to stick with it...with the life we live, it's too much preparation and I don't have time, so get hungry and grab what is available. Going to try to stick to lower carb choices, but go with the other plan I believe!

Low carb definitely does work, I just can't seem to get into it. I will do it for a few days then I am dying for a piece of bread, etc.

This place I am going to is called Transformation Advanced Medical Weight Loss - I saw it on Groupon - $99.00 for 4 weeks plus you pay for the prescription appetite suppressants. The 4 weeks include blood work, 2 B-12 shots, vitamins, calcium pills, etc. I think I need to be held accountable. Knowing that I have to go every Wednesday morning and get on a scale, helps me.
My usual menu:
B - hb egg - 1/2 bagel or 2 slices of fiber rich bread
fat free yogurt with some fruit

L - baked potatoe (3" long)
cup of veggies
piece of fruit

D - 4.5 ounces of chicken, turkey or fish
rice - 1/2 cup
veggies - 1 cup

S - 1/2 cup frozen fat free yogurt

It is about 1,100 calories but the pills make me not hungry.

Anything to get rid of this gut - My revelation like two weeks ago - I took my Mom shopping to Beall's clothing store and I was looking through the racks when I looked up and saw my profile in the mirror. I was horrified!!!

We can still come here and chat even though I am not doing lc -

would you post your menu's for me? I was on the appetite suppressants once and helped me so much, plus I had so much ENERGY! I didn't want to stop. I wish I felt like that normally!

Isn't it awful how when you see yourself, it isn't quite the image you have plastered in your brain? I see myself and I have to double take, then smack my forehead and wonder how in the devil did I let myself get like this.

I'm going to try and go off your menu, if you want to post it, and see if it helps me, so anything you can post will help!!

Do you have an e-mail? I can scan the whole thing and send it to you! It is only 5 or 6 pages, very easy to understand.

I'll pm my e-mail and you can send me yours -

I told my husband last night, with this last round of meds she put me on, I am on so many that they won't all fit in my daily divider I have to take them two handfuls at a time. Sad. I'm only 45....should not be on this much medicine!

I will get back on here Monday and make my posts. I am going grocery shopping tomorrow!

Gosh, Tasha - I feel so bad for you, you are always sick. It seems that way. Maybe you will feel better tomorrow and can eat the food.

ok Cheryl....how's it going with you?

I was out sick from work on Monday and Tuesday with bad(and I mean severe) diarrhea, stomach pains, vomiting. So....called my doctor. She said she thought since she had increased my antibiotic dose that I was having a reaction to it and to stop taking it. She thought the vomiting was from sinus drainage, so had two things going on.... Today is the first time, and actually, only since past noon that I have felt halfway normal. My stomach isn't hurting near as bad and diarrhea has stopped.

I weighed when I got home from work and was at 214.5...so down 8+ pounds. I've been eating yogurt and fruit for breakfast and trying to keep my lunch small, I feel so much better. I snack on grapes in the morning, and took a cutey and applesauce yesterday for lunch, today, had orange juice for breakfast, my tummy was still a little upset, so didn't want to push it. I had yogurt and applesauce for lunch. Came home and made the Transformations recipe Garlic baked Chicken and guiltless potato wedges and corn on the cob with butter buds. YUMMO! I am full and really didn't eat much and it was so yummy! Even just 8 pounds has made me feel a little better and gives me more incentive to continue. I am not really counting, but am going more or less(usually less) off the papers you sent me. I'm going to make the california wrap for my lunch tomorrow morning. I'll post my menu tomorrow.

Hope you are doing well!!! Any loss? I think I really like this way of eating so far! I know i haven't done it long, but eating lighter seems like it makes me feel better!

I was thinking about you! Glad you are better! I am down to 195, slow and steady. I feel 100% better eating like this, especially no red meat! My blood sugar is si normal, I cut back on my meds. I go to the dr on Jun 7, so I will talk to her about that. I go tp Tramsformation every Wed and this week, my blood pressure was 108/70!!!! I am so enjoying the fruit, too! I am really trying to measure everything and it is amazing the portion sizes I was eating! If I can do 2-3 pounds a week, I will be very happy. I will pass on to you if they give me any other food ideas!

YAY!!! So glad to hear you are doing well! And congrats on the loss!

I got on the scale this morning and was at 112.5....so am down 10 pounds from last Saturday. Granted, a lot of that was from being sick, but I have really been trying too.

Today, I had a small glass of OJ with my meds, brought cottage cheese and pears for lunch but just got an invite to go next door and eat with our Medical Records department , they are catering lunch for National hospital week, so may go see what they have and take my cottage cheese home for tomorrow breakfast. Not sure about supper tonight, thought I'd make this fish recipe I found on the Transformations site. I was so full after supper last night I didn't even eat my night snack and only at the portions allowed. You should try the Garlic baked chicken if you like that kind of thing, I thought it was pretty tasty!

Don't think I will have to get groceries this week, still have a lot left, just hope my veggies hold out through next week. I am also really enjoying the fruit. I have to be careful with too many raw veggies with my irritable bowel, but so far, no issues since I've been feeling better anyway.. I'm with you, if I can do 2-3 pounds a week, I'm good. I've settled in for the long haul. I think the thing I like about this is, I don't have the feeling of doom and gloom if I had one thing I wasn't supposed to with having to start all over to get back into ketosis, and I REALLY missed fruit. I wish we had a Transformations close here if for nothing else than accountability, but this works so far and I have found lots of recipes I can adapt.

Tasha - oh, how I wish it were true - you weigh 112.5??? Seriously, ten lbs is great

I also like the fact that one small cheat is not the kiss of death. I will go look for that chicken recipe. Today, I went to Wendy's and got a side salad and a baked potato - all good and it was only $3.

Have a super weekend and stay on this!!!!

LOL me too honey!!! the lowest weight I remember being (or the lowest high LOL) is 127, which is what I weighed when I moved here in the 10th grade. After that it is 148, which I weighed after losing 50 pounds when my daughter was born in 1987....then 165 in 2003 when my Dad died. Since then, it's been all over that.

Hey, Tasha! - I stayed the same weight thru the weekend. I did okay yesterday, just not 100%. My nephew had us over for a BBQ. He had chicken, ribs, mac salad, etc. But I really didn't do too bad. I went in his pool with my daughters so I wouldn't eat the snacks.

B - 2 hb eggs, 2 lite Nature's Own bread

S - strawberries/blueberries

L - baked potatoe/green beans

D - 4.5 oz of beef round, broccoli

S - apple
