I now have a starting weight and off to a good start with a bowl of lentil soup and an egg white tortilla. Getting ready now to get a walk with our dogs at a nice park across town. It's easier walking while my knee is acting up.

Keeping it real food and the right choices. Take care all.

Hi Ladies!
It's been nuts at work so been a little MIA!

I have been eating on the beach and honestly that is probably the best for me as well. I don't feel deprived and really don't have to count or think about what to eat. I have been starting the day with a Green Monster protein shake:

Skim
FF Greek yogurt
frozen banana
berries
orange
apple
spinach
kale
a little agave

The fruits a few and a little of this and that.
The nurse said I really need to eat right away in the morning, so about an hour after my coffee, I make the shake and drink it.

Weigh in is tomorrow, so if Nashville didn't screw me up too bad, I am hoping for a loss of some kind.

TGIF is tomorrow!

I love green smoothies Cindy. I use Jay Robb vanilla whey protein and it's sweet enough without fruit added. That shake lasts me all morning and what a way to get in the veggies. YES!

Week one - down .6
Week two - up .5

Are you kidding?

I think my body wants to stay here!
It also may be because of last weekend.
And the nurse coach I am working with did say I may see a spike with going from very low carb to adding the good ones back in - specifically more grains than my body has been used to.

Sharon - I have been putting kale in my shakes!

Yep that's good too. I had a spike today too. I think it's because of the lentil soup I had last night. Even tho it's high fiber it is a starch. Actually I think my body is very confused right now.

Hello all!

I am feeling pretty good about things right now, the scale is definitely moving. I am down 6.5 lbs since Jan. 2nd (although I am ashamed to say I was at my absolute highest since losing my weight 5 years ago ).

I didn't gain anything on my business trip this week, which I consider to be a win. Eating in restaurants 5 days a week, every meal, is so hard.

I am basically doing Phase 1 plus 1 serving of fruit daily during the week. I had some wine over the weekend and 1 small slice of WW pizza last night. I plan to keep doing Phase 1 during the week and Phase 2 over the weekends until I lose the rest of this weight. That seems to work well for me.

Cindy, Sharon, although I've been losing - I have some bounce back days (I weigh daily). You may have just caught yourselves on a bad day. You guys know this works - hang tough!!

Wiz I like your style. That is exactly the way I'm doing this first part. I love my blueberries with my greek yogurt so have that daily. Yesterday we had flax meal waffles for lunch and the scale showed a loss this morning. Oh I forgot I made meatloaf for dinner last night and had a piece of that too. That was made SB friendly and was delicious with onions and mushrooms added to a couple of eggs in the meat. A little crumbly but the taste was there.

Hope to see this scale going in the right direction now at least for a while.

HI Girls,
Happy to report I am down a few more pds, I am hopin to see 179 on the scales in the morning!! We shall see lol. I managed to skip the bday cake, snacks and pizza and booze yesterday! Man that was hard for me lol.

I always do better during the week, I think because its more routine for me, same eating schedule and what not and drinking my fluids at my desk all day, I think on the weekends I may not drink enough water, but am really trying today.

Today is laundry day and grocery shopping and cooking my food for the week!

Keep up the good work gals! Wish me luck on the morning weigh in, I have no idea the last time I was in the 170s, its been a few years I know that much!

I always do better during the week too, Kelly!

You are right Wiz - we know our weight fluctuates. I just want to be down 7 by spring time....that is where I was when DD25 got married and I want to be the same place when DD23 gets married in June - I felt good then!

Good morning beachers!

Getting sick has really killed my mojo for healthy eating. Started back at it today.

Kel - I think I do better during the week, just because its routine. I like routine, lol.

Cindy - I know you can and will have your 7 lbs gone by June!

Wiz - You've been dealing with a lot over the last few months! Give yourself a little slack and just work the plan you have set up and that weight will be gone in no time!

Sharon -

Neesie - How was your weekend?

back on the beach!

HI Girls,
Well I didnt see 179 this morning, but was super close, so maybe tommorrow morning

I am working from home today, lil man has the crud that is going around, and I couldnt send him to school or daycare in this condition. I sure I hope dont catch it! My bf had it and his son too, so its all around me.

Anyway, not much else to report in my world. Im just enjoying shrinking! Next up is the planning of my older sons bday, its the 30th of this month. We are going to do a bowling party and have pizza and cake and stuff. I have no clue what I am going to buy him. Prob clothes, he will be going into high school in the fall and everything is about fashion lol. Expensive stuff of course. When a t-shirt cost 30 dollars, thats a lil out of my price league. lol.

Back to work for me and Im kinda glad I am at home today, The Australian Open is on TV I get to watch a bunch of it today lol.

I had a "chubby" day today, as we refer to it at work.
I get so annoyed with myself - our self image and self perspective can be so self destructive and I don't know why I am feeling this way, but I know I can come here and vent and know you all understand! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Spent tonight trying to figure out some of DD's school loan repayment stuff - we have till the end of February to figure this out. It's mind boggling............DH isn't happy, but what he wanted her to do for post secondary and what she wanted to do (and did) were two different things. I am sure that she would not have gotten the job she did with the route he wanted her to go.................

Good morning!

So I didn't exercise this morning and the guilt is setting in. But I just wasn't motivated and I haven't missed a day in over a week. I stayed in bed reading instead! It felt great....

Oh Cindy, I know exactly what you mean by a chubby day. I had one of those last week while traveling. One of the outfits I brought along annoyed me all day, I just felt so blah in it. And of course, I had no alternatives because I was working from my suitcase. Meanwhile, I spent all week in a conference room with 12 men - like they really noticed or cared what I was wearing. LOL.

Kelly, everyone has that flu! I was so sure I would end up catching it last week while flying, but so far, so good. It is a doozy of a bug. Hope your litttle guy feels better soon.

Tina, sounds like you are finally rebounding back from being sick. I agree it takes the wind out of your sails in terms of eating. No one craves salads and lean protein when you are sick! You want soup with noodles (I always like won ton soup when I am sick...)

Sharon, meatloaf is one of my go-to suppers on SB. I do mine with ground turkey, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, onions, etc. And parm cheese in place of bread crumbs. My husband loves it as leftovers, so I always make a big 'loaf!

Time to start my work day...but I am just not feeling it today. I think it is because we haven't seen the sun here in ages. These gray winter days give me the blues...

HI Girls,
Guess who is in a new decade of numbers!!! I am so excited, I have been waiting awhile to see the 170s lol. And that puts me at 29 pds to my goal I can totally do this. 8 more pds and I will be back at my all time adult low weight.

Im going to have to break down and buy some jeans soon, my current ones are all getting too big, I have had to retire a few pair already.

I kept lil man out of school again today, his cough is terrible. I came to work though and told the sitter to call me if it gets too bad.

Not much else going on. We can all get to our goals, I am more motivated than ever right now!!

Food today? Yogurt for breakfast and a handful of pop chips.
Then DH brought me my favorite mexican for lunch!
I did jump on treadmill for about 35 minutes.
I just want mac and cheese for dinner.........

Better today, but today is weigh in and with all that salt yesterday?
I did make my own mac and cheese with some Dreamfields, skim milk, parm and low fat cheddar. It was ok and I didn't eat it all. I did get about 35 minutes in on the treadmill too.....

The weeks just fly by don't they. I'll be glad to have my doctor appt. behind me. At least I don't have to have a mammo now but every 2 years. Boy I hate to have that one!

Cindy glad you're back to normal now and getting a little exercise. I'm just walking with my 2 fur kids and hubby on a regular basis. Nothing real stringent because of bad knee that keeps me bound to the chair most of the time. I know when the weight gets down my knee will feel a whole lot better. Can hardly wait for that day!

Keep up the great jobs ladies. I love hearing your successes. BBL

Hi everyone,

Sorry I just disappeared. My work weeks are so hectic that I never even get in here to read, and last weekend I had to do an online course for work. NOT fun.

Eating is OK, and I'm down 5.28 lbs. since Jan 2. Of course, this is the same weight that I lost in September and gained back. Never mind, I'll just try to keep at it.

Kelly - congrats on your new decade! That's great!

Cindy and Tina - glad you're both feeling better. I keep hearing about how awful the flu is in the US this year. Seems to be everywhere!

Wiz - Sounds like you're really focused now! Congrats on your loss, too!

Sharon and Neesie -

I am beat after the week at work, especially the being on my feet 8 hrs. a day part. At least the kids were pretty good, which is really something to be thankful for (nothing like a roomful of teenagers bouncing off the walls). I am going to kick back now with a glass of wine (I've been very good at limiting myself in the new year) and see if I can stay awake past 9 p.m.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Hi Girls,
Weight was the same this morning, which is frustrating for me cause I have come to expect like a pound per day to be gone, but I know that is not realistic and I did have a cup of hot chocolate last night, but it was sf, but still not something I am supposed to be having Oh well it made me feel better and I felt full after I drank it, so whatever lol. I also have to tell myself that maybe if I dont lose on the scale I am still losing inches so I shouldnt get discouraged.

Now the weekend is here and I am going to do my best to keep on plan, but my losses never seem to go that well on the weekend even if I have felt i stayed on track. Lets see what Monday shows on the scale!

I have the boys this weekend, we are going to be hanging out watching TV and may go fishing for a bit tomorrow, but its still super cold here and lil man is still coughing, so we will see. We are gonna make these goodies tomorrow, they are oreo cookies pulled apart and insert a reese pb cup and put them back together and then dip in melted choc and let harden! The kids are excited, I wanna try just a lil tiny bite to see if they are good lol. Dangerous I know.

Have a good weekend!! Good to see everone checking in
