Welcome Natosha! I could not do Dukan - too much deprivation for me.

Well, the scale did not budge again this week. I totally expected that as I've been working out and I did eat off plan.
I still feel good and am trucking along!

Amber - great on the no candy day! I was doing great but was with a friend last night munching down on chocolates. That is hard to sit with someone doing that watching a movie. Sometimes I can handle it.

Natosha - I did a protein-sparing modified fast, which is similar. I ate a lot of fat free greek yogurt, I think that is what did the trick.

Sherri - great work

All - hang in there! Your determination is what makes your plans work!

Not much new today. Running errands and doing some chores. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Welcome Notasha. I would think you might need a stool softener rather than taking laxatives so often as they are addictive and not a great thing to take that often. A stool softener will help a lot or even adding fiber like psyllium or a fiber that dissolves like Miralax.

Sherri- Great job on staying on plan, away from suger and dropping 2lbs!

Amber- Those few weeks before moving to a new house are so stressful. I hope when the pipe is fixed the inspection for the new place goes well. Good job with ditching those chocolates and staying on plan. Your chicken scramble sounds yummy!

Hey all. I'm still around...just another crazy week around here. Valentines was a disaster for lc wise. I still have cupcakes calling my name in the kitchen. I am stuffed from dinner and yet all I can think about is eating junk. I hate how quickly one bit of sweets turns into a carb festival. I've been walking the last 2 weekends with odd taking her door to door to sell cookies. We've walked several miles each weekend. Today was nice and warm. Such a wonderful change from the cold rainy winter we've been having. Supposed to get cold again in a few days though.

It really does! It's always amazing to me how good I can feel about myself when on plan and how disgusted I can be when off.....all within the same 2lb!!

I don't know why I fight WW so...if I stay within my points I lose, but I'm always trying to incorporate some other plan into it and then get stuck with that sense of being a "failure" and the guilt and shame that follows. I sometimes think my biggest downfall is from being in the "dieting mode" for the past 55+ years and forgetting about just plain old moderation and portion control. It seems like I'm always getting ready to be "good" tomorrow so I make poor choices today....and tomorrow never comes.

my concern today is that if I have a more protein meals rather then less might it improve the losing? I guess what i'm asking if too less might be a reason of weight not budging?

and if my workout routine too much...i jump and jog and use weights for 5mins and use rest time to do daily things for rest time...could I be over stressing my body to hold on to liquid?

Happy Sunday ~ Everyone has been busy. I had wrote in my journal that I just couldn't cope if one more thing happened, I woke up in the morning and my home computer was dead. I'm posting from work today. Yes, I'm working on Sunday

The office is moving and the IT guy will not have time to look at home computer until first week of March and my tickets to the Heart concert that we are going to on March 9th are in my "dead" computer.

When it doesn't rain, it pours .... finally caved to the food and alchol but I'm now back on track.

Consequently my weigh in on Friday was up again 320

Frankie- yeah!!!

Natosha- I dont think that is too much if that is what you are eating in a day but I think variety might help, he says to avoid yolks since his diet is very low fat, add some skim milk, non fat greek yogurt, and try some other meats maybe???

Natosha~ I have no answers for you, really. Eat a variety of food from the allowed lists. I can't (personally) imagine eating the same thing day after day, I wouldn't be able to stick. Aside from that, I believe calories do count. If you're going above your calorie threshold, you may not lose. How do you feel physically, if you ignore the scale and go by how your clothes are fitting? If you really like the plan give it some more time. You can always switch to Atkins if Dukan is too strict. Good luck!

Down with a head cold today. Boo.

Have a great day everyone!!

Off to London for a couple of weeks. Bag packed with protein bars and a bunch of beef jerky. I hope I can manage to control my eating as I always tend to gain when I travel and I am not in my normal routine. So far so good in the airline lounge. I have skipped all the trays of cookies and sandwiches and baskets full of carby snacks and I have had some cheese and beef jerky. Will stock up on more cheese to supplement the flight.

Congrats on Onederland! Frankie, I see you're doing Moderate Protein & Carbs -- do you aim for a certain amount of grams or percentages of calories?

TIA!

Hope y'all are having a good week so far!

Frankie,

Have a great trip!

I used to have a traveling job (2005 to (2007). I did the same thing with the protein bars. They let me expense then as meals! It had not occurred to me to ask at first.

I had to stay up all night working once so I ordered three kids meals at dinner to get me through the night so I could nibble as needed (within my budget) from room service. They sheepishly called me back to ask how many sets of silverware, LOL

Tuesday is almost over and all is good. Still have lots of stress but I'm going to stay strong

Once the office is moved on Thursday, things should calm down a bit

Blonde ~ Sorry that you aren't feeling well. Hope you are better soon

Have fun in London Frankie.

That is funny KT.
