Morning all
I'm headed to Sea World shortly with my girls for the day. Lots of walking! I found the Atkins meals at WalMart this morning and I'm eating the harvest breakfast one now. I like it! Reminds me of any other frozen breakfast you buy, just no potatoes in it. I bought a few of the entrees to try as well. eta...still fighting the darn induction headache. I can't wait for it to pass!! I am here!!!!! Ready to get this back in high gear!!!!!!! Summer was not so great. I started looking good and got cocky.... Started eating this and that and am up 30 lbs. I'm not going to dwell on the past but look to the future. This summer I will be at goal and will be one sexy honey badger!!!! Here is where I need your help. I will need a butt kicking from time to time and some motivation as well. When I'm doing good...I'm on top of the world...but when I am doing bad I am really down on myself. I am going to try really hard not to get down on myself.
So lets do this!!!!! ![]()

So I had the Beef Merlot today it is tasty but not much meat mainly broccoli, I was still hungry so I ate 2 hard boiled eggs with it, cant say I will get that again cause I like a huge hunk of meat, LOL But not bad tasting! So I had a shake for breakfast and 1/2 grapefruit, just cause I think they are good for you, the Beef merlot and 2 hard boiled eggs for lunch and 2 eggs and bacon for dinner, I am surviving!!!Let's face esting bacon is a dream!!! LOL I will try another Atkins meal tomorrow the crustless chicken pot pie looks dreamy!!!!

Amber, count me in!!!
I'm going to do high fat, low carb, low protein. Yep. The last time I tried something like this was the fat fast and it went poorly (gained weight). This time no dairy. I think it will work with no cream cheese, no sour cream, no cheeses, no nuts. I'll have salad, avocado, or vegetables with kerrygold butter for meals and have a protein meal only once per day. I think the nutritional ketosis folks are on to something. I think this will get my blood sugar and insulin way down. OK, here's to a successful 2013!!! Happy New Year!!!

I am SO not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow... I did a pre-weigh this morning and it was BAD. Probably worse because TOM is here, but it was ugly.
But that's why I'm back here with you fine ladies, to get rid of it!!!!!!!!!! Off to Wally world to get some Atkins meals and snacks for work! |

I just realized that for weigh-ins there's a very real possibility that they're gonna be very wonky on some days....UD/DD and all that...so every other Friday I'll prolly be up in weight..
Surprisingly I am not starving today! It's a DD and I'm prayin that feeling sticks with me all day long. Lookin forward to being consistent with measurements this quarter...something I got lazy with the last few months. Too bad I didn't keep up with it because something IS definitely happening even with just the 20+ lbs I've lost..my clothes are getting baggy and my face has shrunk. |

Cindy- darn woman, walking in -6 degree weather is a feat to be proud of!! No freaking way would I walk in that!!!!!! I am sure you shivered those candies right off you!!! OK ugly but necessary weigh in, we will face the music together!!! I held it together yet again, this morning I had 1/2 grapefruit, protein shake, lunch was the Atkins meal turkey in pan gravy with green beans really liked the sauce on this one so far my favorite, but only tried 2 so far will have another tomorrow, then a protein shake around 3:30 pm, and dinner was a piece of turkey sausage with feta and spinach and a spinach salad, so I am thinking I might be hungry later that will be a problem!!! I can still get the carb countdown milk at Wally world, I like that the best for shakes at home although almond milk is good with chocolate protein powder but I am out of that and have vanilla.
So carry on kids, we can do this!!! |

Amber, when I saw that -6 I thought OMG!
Brave girl, Cindy! I'm so glad you like those Atkins meals, I just saw them the other day but I didn't buy any. Worth the cost? I am praying for a good weigh in tomorrow...my new scale has me very very afraid of it ![]() |

They are like $3 or $3.50 or something, I think they need some additions like hard boiled eggs or soemthing or else I am a just a hog and its not enough but I eat at 12:00 and dont eat dinner til 6:30 so that is a long time to get by on 300 calories!!! I will keep buying them I seem to be losing OK but I am being strict!

I have had both of the breakfast ones (Atkins meals) so far and they are decent. I do sprinkle a bit more cheese on them though
Today has been good so far. Took my girls to Chuck E Cheese's to meet some others for lunch. I went through the salad bar twice but they actually had several protein options: chopped ham, hard boiled eggs, and bacon crumbles. Not sure what the plan will be for dinner tonight yet. I'm thinking steaks. Oh! Best of all...my induction headache is gone!! Now to keep on plan and stop giving myself headaches lol

Would love to join all of you....long time lurker. Can someone who's never done Atkins join? LOL Just finished reading Wheat Belly and gonna go cold turkey tomorrow on wheat. Really need to reduce my inflammation and blood sugars. Also rejoining WW cause need the accountability of getting on that scale in front of someone so will be doing a L(er)C version of WW while giving up the wheat....I know, I'm just confused, but figure I'll start with baby steps.
Lost 25lb last year between May and August with WW and then vacations came along and have managed to gain 15 lb or so back again. Have done JUDD in the past with Leo as my inspiration but my UD's turned into UUAD's...just not for me. Need a knee replacement and only able to do water exercises at this point. Just feeling kind of desperate and hoping this support will help. Will be weighing in tomorrow morning.

Can I join too? I've got a long way to go and hope that having to report in on Fridays will help me out. I'm a yo-yo dieter for many years, looking for this low-carb (modified Atkins) WOE will help me lose weight steadily and be something I can live with long-term. Until then, one hour, one day, one week at a time...

Lol Danielle! It wasn't the best salad bar, but def not the worst! More choices than I remembered.
So I had a big ouch tonight...cooking steaks and I grabbed the metal handle with my bare hand my hands were damp so I heard it sizzle. I have 2 huge blisters right where my fingers and hand meet. |

Welcome everybody and yes anyone can join, doesnt matter what plan you follow! We are all here to just offer support, advice, encouragement, DISCIPLINE, LOL
So here is the sheet if I missed you yell at me!! I will add you! I was moved by something Melanie said in her journal, she said getting to onederland was so fun she wanted to do it again, I needed that instead of dwelling on the fact that I couldn't hold on to it, I need to focus on getting back there and staying!!!! So I am down 11 pounds of Christmas bloat, I was a scary 235 after Christmas, but I knew some of that would come off. Now to make this keep going and the momentum up! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...JY2lTNmc#gid=0 |
