Mama- I have my running trainer she is having me do sprints, like 8.0 for 30 seconds then 1 minute recovery and keep doing that, dude that is fast and hard but she said that is the best way to build endurance, so like for a marathon you go longer, like run 1/2 mile all out then 1/4 slower then fast again she is training for a 26 mile, I said good grief thank goodness I only have a 5K, LOL But I was telling her about you!!! You will always be my running inspiration, I hate running, LOL

Hi Honey badgers!
I would like to join this group. I need a challenge group and I've read several of your personal blogs and THIS is the group for me!

I will be turning 50 on Christmas Eve this year and have promised myself I will NOT ring in my fabulous 50's this fat.

No more excuses for me.. menopause, shemnopause!

But seriously I need a group to participate in..to call my own and I need tough love and accountability.

So hello all you bad ass honey badgers.. I'm gonna hang out here.

Not much going on with me. Been shopping a butt load, cause my butt is finally shrinking and I have to travel to London soon and I have nothing to wear.

Welcome Daisy.

Cindy- Great job on not letting the stress get to you!

Amber- I really like your new avatar, it is very flattering.

Hi Daisy! Welcome!!!

Amber - wow, I think I could barely ride my bike 26 miles. Man, you have a hard-core trainer! She is going to turn you into an endurance athlete pronto!!!

Nice problem to have, Frankie!

Hang in there, Cindy!

Not much to report here. I'm still hanging in here with my potato hack. I had a sweet potato for dinner. I have figured out in the last two minutes of microwaving I can top with erythritol/splenda/vanilla and it turns into a glaze without burning (erythritol burns, man....).

Happy Valentine's Day!

Amber, thank you so much for adding me.. I will for sure want to weigh in with everyone.

I told Patrick last night that instead of chocolate and flowers he could bring two sets of flowers! A girl has her priorities!

Tonight we are going to a Greek restaurant that looks incredible for low carb choices and I am excited! We have never been to this particular place.

I am most excited so far about the olive bar! Yummo.

What is everyone having for their Valentine's dinner?

Key Tones.. I love Archevore/Kurt Harris Blog.. I was reading it last night. I am working on getting off gluten. It's much harder than I thought. Giving up my low carb pitas will be a challenge.

I was recently Dx with a bulging disc in my back and the physical therapy/drugs/inversion table have really helped.. I've not walked (for exercise) in weeks.. nothing more than walking in my house a tiny bit. I am planning for getting back to it on Monday. I may only go a block, I will see.. but I have to get back to it.

Last night I made a huge roast in the oven.. and mixed greens (mustard/collard and turnip).. I love them with a ridiculous amount of pepper vinegar! It was a great meal.

Looking forward to hearing how everyone is doing today!

What a wonderful problem to have!

KT: the sweet potato sounds yums!

DH and I went out last week for Valentines. He hates crowds, standing in line... + it was for a $30 @, three-course prix fixe at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Love me some Restaurant Week specials.

Been on plan for 3 days (today is my fourth) and I'm down 2 pounds- Slow but sure.

Have a great Valentines Day, all.

Daisy - love Kurt Harris! I have given up things, one at a time. All at once is hard...

All - I'm weighing in a day early due to Valentine's Day. 3 days back on the potato hack and I have undone the damage of a 4 day hiatus. Back to 199, whew!!!

OMG yesterday was a disaster, I shoved every bit of candy that crossed my path, Italian dinner complete with white bread, and pasta, I just ruined myself, and cannolis, LOL I am so bad, so I didnt want to look but I did, so today is clean eating, I felt like crap running this morning, I felt like I could puke and I woke up starving from all the darn sugar!!!!

But here is the chart, sounds like peeps had a nice V-day!!! Dinner was fun with Bobby and Tony came home later with a beautiful card and big bouquet of flowers!! He figured I had enough candy at work, LOL My boss had beautiful little heart boxes of chocolates on our desks, you know you have to eat it if it is from your boss! LOL

Hey Amber,
Your description of what you ate yesterday sounds like about half of my days since October. Is that why I've gained 19 pounds since then?

Weighed 192 this morning which is up from the beginning of the challenge but down from Monday's 195. Been on plan for 4 days (today is #5). I'm hoping this weekend doesn't throw me off. They are calling for snow on and off all weekend here in the mountains of North Carolina. I need a project so I don't sit around and think about food!!

Have a GREAT weekend, all.
Janice

OK....time to get off my butt and stick to some kind of plan! Totally disgusted with myself and eating habits. Paying for WW and not counting points or going to meetings....guess that doesn't work! Been lurking here and weighing in each week but staying accountable doesn't work either when you're eating all the wrong things and making lousy choices.

Was in Florida last week and the scale reflects a week's worth of vacation. Down to business TODAY....don't care if it's Friday instead of my usual Monday start. Signing back up at the Y today also and getting back to my water aerobics....about all I can do with this heft and needing a new knee.

Wishing everyone a good weekend of healthy choices....no matter what your WOE!!

I could've said this EXACT statement...thanks for being honest and sharing this! I am struggling too...not sure why exactly, but I'm acting like I'm stuck in quicksand and not getting anywhere anytime fast.

We can do this!

Didn't weigh this morning (will be buying a scale to keep at bf's so I don't have this excuse anymore)...I was super sad when I put on my jeans this morning, though. My muffin top is "turrrrrible" -- not just terrible. LOL

I gotta get my train back on track or else I'll never be able to catch it!

Happy Friday, Honey Badgers!

I am down to 200.0! So close but no onderland for me this week! Starting next week I will be traveling for a couple of weeks and I almost always gain weight when I travel.

I went out last night in a size 14 petite pair of pants! This means I am firmly out of the plus size clothing for good!

Amber- You got right back on plan and that is important. One meal will not derail you.

Sherrie- It is great that you are not waiting until Monday to get back on plan!

Janice- How about cleaning out closets and drawers to keep busy. This can totally keep me occupied and getting a little exercise for hours.

Amber, one day isn't the end. You know that we need to get back to it ASAP after a sidetrack. Limit the damage, and clear the crap out. Lots of water!

You work so hard, I bet you'll be back to pre VDay numbers soon.

Natosha- A few have done Dukan, I dont remember anyone gaining 4 pounds in the beginning, I did it and lost 9 pounds the first week, but gained back 4 the next week when I started adding veggies, are you eating the oatbran? That really seems to help, try to var the diet maybe? If eating just chicken, throw in some fish or some FF greek yogurt, maybe that will help???

OMG girls I did it I went a day without eating the candy, I told Danny in the office take that candy and freaking hide it, and if I assault you for it you can punch me, LOL I am trying to use up stray stuff in the freezer and such with moving, so last night, I had chicken breasts I cut up, some proscuttio, and fresh mushrooms and onions and garlic, sauteed everything in olive oil then a hit of heavy cream and topped with parm, OMG it was so good!!!!! I was wishing for bread to mop!!! But that was so good!! I have leftovers I am debating eating for breakfast!!!

So today was home inspection day they turned the utilities on and a water supply pipe burst, so no inspection, they are paying to fix it thank God! What a mess, this just sucks!

ok i thinking my body might just be adjusting itself, been taking a laxative morning and night=very helpful ..but i weigh before its out of me so i think from fasting and dehydration, i'm starting to fix the problem..I have to avoid dairy= intolerant to it. wonder if soy milk is ok do love that i hope you gals had great v-day by the way

even tho chocolate was on every show I seen,(the cravings) I avoided them...i'm not big on sweets. more for the savory..I cook all my meals from homemade broth and chicken soup to omelets, roasted meats etc... never from can or box.

i'm hoping i can join this forum
