We had a good day. Last full day with my mommy I hate when she leaves. And she's been such a huge help. My BFF comes tomorrow and I like her here but I have to worry about dinner, etc...the dhs family comes and they are actually work. Sigh.....

Did decent with my food today. I did have a few pieces of candy but I stopped myself.
Accountability
B: coffee w/sf creamer, Greek yogurt, apple
L: chicken breast with ranch, broccoli
S: honey wheat pretzels, piece of sf chocolate
D: chicken with pasta, broccoli and carrots in a cheese sauce, salad with ranch
S: grapes

I'm pretty pleased with my first day

glad you had a good day. nobody should be "work" when coming to visit after a baby arrives. that's just not right. I hope I wasn't work when I was there even though you didn't have a baby yet, lol.

your menu looks pretty good

whew, good. I didn't think I caused extra work. I would't want that.

nice job on the 3 pounds. yeah. I've lost a little more the last couple days. not quite a pound in total but its coming down again.

boy I had a hard time getting out of my warm bed this morning. ended up getting downstairs about 20 min. (maybe 15) later than normal, so by the time my bible reading was done I don't have much time to play today.

we are going to have thai food for an early dinner. dd23 wants us to bring some of their favorite dish from there because they don't know when they'll get it again. we might as well eat too

I am relaxing my plan a bit this weekend but i'm okay with that. I know my cals are too low all week so even though it may make my weight bounce back up a little it will come back off and I certainly don't want my body to get used to too few cals even if I don't like the temp. weight gain that comes from more sometimes.

so far today i had:
(protein shake
(protein shake and nuts
(a peanut butter sandwich on homemade sourdough bread (small loaf so it wasn't a big sandwich.

tonight after taking dd22 out to get her things and pick up her roommate when she gets off work we will load up all dd23's things so we will be ready to take off early in the morning. NOT looking forward to the drive 2 days in a row, but oh well. it has to be done. hopefully next time we are going it will be for pleasure and will have a few days to stay.

Guess what?!?!?!?! I have on a size 12L jeans!!! I haven't worn this size in 23 years!!!! Of course, they are stretch jeans, but I'll take it!! lol

We went out to dinner tonight. I love watching my son eat now. He has finally learned to eat only when hungry. In the past 16 months he has lost 80 pounds!!! Now I just need to eat that way all the time. Doing better at it, but need to improve. Had a cup of cheddar broccoli soup, a burger, and a few fries. Left most of the fries there.

My weight today is 178.4!! I hope to stay that low for Monday's weigh in. Getting close to 175!! That was my lowest weight eleven years ago. Going to get below that this time!

I'm off work tonight. Back in tomorrow night. Glad I'm back to my normal schedule working Sat thru Tues nights.

Have a great weekend!!

and I did enjoy thai food tonight

updated menu for tonight:

*(protein shake
*(protein shake and nuts
*(a peanut butter sandwich on homemade sourdough bread (small loaf so it wasn't a big sandwich.
thai food: beef panang with peanut sauce. rice, fried glassy noodles w/shrimp and egg, and another dish that had chicken but I can't remember the name of it. oh and an egg roll. (they are much smaller than egg rolls in Chinese restaurants, but very good.
*a slice of cheese.

we got the car all packed up with dd23's boxes and things except a small cooler of some salmon from our cooler and the chicken panang she asked us to bring for them. oh and our overnight bag.

hopefully will be able to get up and out of here early as planned.

dh did end up buying 1 set of chains for the car. JUST in case. probably will never use them but decided it would be good to have. we didn't buy them for all 4 tires but figured just having them for the front 2 would be good enough since we have all wheel drive and so would be rare if ever that we really need them. we figured we keep our cars pretty much till they are dead so we should have lots of years left with this one so the chains could come in handy at some point over those years, lol. didnt' want to get caught on the other side of the mountains if something happened, really.

You are doing awesome lenise! I haven't seen that movie but I've heard it was good

Blew my "diet" tonight. Starting fresh tomorrow and not letting this derail me. Will chalk it up to a free meal I guess.

Dh left to play hockey tonight and I was left alone with both kids for the first time. I survived! Neither kids got a bath but both are now sleeping and I'm going to crash on the couch until Stella wakes to eat again.

2 hour late start today because of icy roads. I'm mostly ready but will go finish up shortly so I don't feel like I'm rushing out the door after sitting an extra 2 hours.

I think I figured out what i'm making for dinner Friday. that is dh's first night of grave yard and I usually cook dinner that night. I don't on the 2 day shifts before that or the 2nd graveyard usually because he doesn't eat at home those days. problem is I have a 90 min. massage followed by a chiro appointment that afternoon so i won't be home till between 4:45 and 5:00 (ish). he leaves at 6 I think. I THINK i'm going to try the recipe I found on pinterest for soup in the crock pot, but I'm not sure yet.

I'm trying to try something new at least every week or 2. I hope to get the enjoyment from cooking again. I used to really like to a long time ago. don't know if I will again, but I would like to enjoy it again. thought maybe trying new things here and there might help. and dh will certainly like me to cook more, especially since dd23 isn't here now.

I've been trying to make new things too. We had buffalo chicken lasagna a few weeks back which was really good. I've only cooked three times since Stella was born

I'm trying to not pressure myself. trying to remind myself that I don't have to cook every day. I think I started not liking cooking after all those years of cooking almost every day of the week, lol. I cooked most days when the kids were little. we occasionally went out and eventually I switched to taking most sunday's off from cooking. that became our "fend for yourself" day. (kids were somewhere in elementary school age when I started that). I honestly didn't care if they had popcorn that day for dinner if it meant I didn't have to plan and cook . is it the healthiest? nope, but one day wasn't going to hurt them. most the time I tried to have left overs in the fridge available, though so they had options. and obviously doing that doesn't work as well at a younger age but I was so glad I did it when they were a little older. they liked it too, I think. and mostly they actually chose real food and not snack type foods.

I cook 4-5 times a week usually. The other days we either go out or dh likes TV dinners (yuck!). I have leftovers a lot too

Dh is taking Kyle to story time. Last week when I took him Stella was up crying the whole time. Of course today she's sleeping

so this afternoon I was sitting here watching tv, playing on the computer and thinking I should go work out. before I got up there (which I never did...*blush*) I see someone walk by my window. it was my MOTHER! her and step dad showed up. didn't stay too long but it was a nice surprise.

then after I made a grocery list for the soup i'm going to make tomorrow night (to cook in the crock pot Friday) and went to the grocery store. get to the store and realize I left my list at home. oh well, I managed to get everything but 2 of the things I needed. not too bad considering I didn't have my list to check.

I cook during the week and dh cooks on the weekend. We usually only go out to eat as a family once a month any more. But if I'm out with one of both of the kids, we might stop to eat fast food.

I've eaten too much the past two days, and TOM is coming up soon. As a result, my weight is REALLy up. Yikes! Hope it goes down for Monday!

DS and I went to the movie this afternoon. It was pretty good. Weren't that many people in the theater, though.

Tomorrow night I have Sweet Adelines practice. Not much else planned the next few days. DD has a date tomorrow. Can't believe she is almost 17!! Where has the time gone?!?!?!

Nighty night!
