Red Hot Mamas Valentines Day Challenge 2013

Ok, I'll start the challenge since everyone else is apparently still sleeping. lol

This challenge will run from January 1st through February 19th. (Thanks Riot for mapping this all out for us! )

Welcome to one and all! We love new members so please don't be shy! The more the merrier! We are here to support each other regardless of what plan you are on. Weigh ins will be on Tuesdays. Post often! Over the years it's been proven that we are more successful when we check in daily and post frequently!!!

Let's make 2013 the year we finally meet goal!

Ok, so weigh in went just as badly as I expected it would. I gained 10 pounds since Christmas. 10 POUNDS!!!!!!

Disgusting.

Oh well. No beating myself up anymore. Onwards and downwards from here.

I'll be doing LC from now until January 7th when I start my next hcg round. Since I'm doing hcg during this challenge, my goal will be a big loss. Hoping for 20-25 pounds by the end of this challenge. (But secretly really hoping for 30. haha)

My plan of attack is rotel, rotel, rotel for the next 3 days to get me back in the zone and hopefully into ketosis.

I'm also going to drink at least 100 0z of water a day, and do some form of exercise daily.

Today my goal is to walk 2 miles and do free weights.

Man, my body is all out of whack. I've been off work since Dec 20th for Winter Break and I've lost touch with reality lol. I've got to get back into a good sleeping routine, ASAP! I go back to work on Thursday.

So my goal for this challenge is to lose 21 pounds and get out of twoterville. I know it's a lot, but it always comes off fast at first so I'm banking on losing water weight plus fat. My plan of attack is strictly LC eating, drinking 100 oz of water a day, and lots of cardio every day!

Today's menu:
B: eggs
L: Rotel
D: Rotel

2 miles done and 48 oz of water down.

Gonna take down the tree and decorations now, and clean out the fridge, then I'll do my free weights this afternoon.

Just finished my 30 minutes on the treadmill. I kept it at 3.0 mph so I got in 1.5 miles. I'm going to do another 30 tonight while I watch Dance Moms. I'm disgustingly addicted to that show!

32 oz of water in so far and working on bottle #3 right now.

Riot, I've never seen Dance Moms but now I'm curious. lol

Belle, yes it's always easier when you just jump on the scale and report in, that way we can all cheer you on as the pounds move down, down, down.

So, remember last time I posted I said I was going to take down the tree and decorations and clean out the fridge? Yeah...that didn't happen. I went to the beach instead. hahaha

I guess I'll do the tree now. Even though I really just want to go to bed.

Okay...since Riot wrangled my sorry @$$$$ in here.....

...I'm here...marking my spot...

I had to work first thing this morning and it was a rough couple of days...on the plus side, I was really distressed about a kiddo last night and it turns out we found an endangered runaway and now he is safe...it has been below freezing so it was scary...but he lied and I was very distressed about his situation he was lying about...He tells me he's cold and I have him pull off his shoes, and he has obvious frost bite and I sent him to the hospital and it all finally comes out he was the missing teen...turned out to be a better day than yesterday!

Awww, Beach, I don't know how you do what you do and stay sane. Thank God we have people like you to take care of these kids though. I'm glad to hear it worked out in the end.

And regarding the challenges....where were we before? I never pay attention I just figured we were always in the challenges forum. Shows how much I pay attention. hahaha

haha...no, we were in the induction...but this appropriate

It is a tough job sometimes...heck...a lot lately. I am burning out but as long as I have compassion and empathy...and heart, I have a job
After all of these shootings, and since the July one here in Aurora...we have had so many risk/threat assessments in our county...HUGE increase and then we had the little girl who was murdered by the juvenile...IN MY county!! so it has been rough since August
to be honest...I had a few glasses of wine last night...frost bite is truly an ugly thing

Day 1 is pretty much down. I had 84 oz of water so far and I'm sipping on my last bottle to get my 100 in. I'm not going to do the extra 30 minutes on the treadmill because I've got the god awful induction headache I always get the first few days. I'm hoping to get into bed for the night really soon and hopefully the ibuprofen I took will give me some relief.

Glad to see beach and belle made it over! Tomorrow is my last day off before I go back to work, so I'll be busy with laundry and getting everyone ready to go back to school. That should keep my mind (and fingers) off food. Lol.

Can I join? This is my first challenge here. I'm 170 (thank you 15 pounds of stress eating over the holidays) today and have 20 pounds of baby weight to loose and then 10 more to get to the pregnancy weight before that.

Hi everyone! Sorry it took so long to post - had to work today. I have a fun job though, so it was all good. Nothing like getting paid to help kids get really messy and learn a little too!

Still 2 weeks till I go back to school, and I'm already nervous. Hope the semester goes well. I'm planning to implement a color coded study organization system and I'm totally geeking out over that. I'm going to get that all ready to go over the next couple of weeks.

Glad to see everyone here - hope we all do well in our challenge!

Hi gals! I like the idea of breaking down to 7-8 week segments. I want to be in the 130's again by end of summer. So for the next 7 weeks plan to do low carb,drink water, cut out white stuff, perhaps cut out artificial sugar, we'll see!!
