I still check in every morning! You guys seem to be doing pretty good and that is always motivating for me. I have been in ketosis for about a week and lost only 2 pounds but feel pretty good. I figure it may take an extra week for my body to catch up to my eating after poisoning it for 6 months. Carry on!!! For anyone NOT checking in (like me) How are you doing?

I'm back to where I was a few weeks ago, but last week I was up to 199 so I'm ECSTATIC to be back at 191.8 today. Hopefully I can be back in the 180's by the time this challenge ends next week.

Sorry I have been MIA, my husband has been between jobs and I got a job for some extra income in the mean time. Its so hard to balance everything. But things are on the up and up for us so I can start to get back to taking care of myself instead of worrying. Stress is the worst.

I know I am up a few pounds but nothing unreasonable. I hit the gym this morning and ate a western omelette for breakfast.

I can't find my name on the chart but my last weight I think was when I wasn't eating at all because I was so stressed. I am also going to start TOM any minute.

This afternoon we are going to Wegmans for some sushi and tonight I plan on having a steak with some asparagus. Small steps.

Will try to start checking in more.

Hey all - I've had a lot going on here so haven't posted much....

beach - sounds like you and I are doing the same thing . I didn't realize it until I saw your post!!! I've been juicing a lot over the past few weeks and love it. I've only had meat 4-5 times in the last 6 weeks and it was chicken. I've had fish but not animal protein except for the few times. I've maintained where I'm at along with being able to incorporate healthy carbs so I'm glad about that. I have to do tweaking too so I can find the balance where I can lose while doing this but we'll get there!

FF - awesome for getting back down! I knew m&e would do that for you

Meat and eggs was what finally helped me get the cravings under control, so maybe try a big steak for dinner tonight. Good luck!

Scale was up a full pound today. Yuck. I'm pretty sure it's because TOM is due to show up within the next 4 or 5 days. Gonna drink tons of water today and take a pamprin tonight to help with any water retention I might be having.

I am starting over with LC tomorrow... I haven't weighed myself in months, but I can tell I am probably back up to the 180 range.

I hope I will be back on track soon... I can't believe I was well into to 160's just a bit ago...

I'm still holding tight on the scale. Wish it would move down but I know it's because I'm adding all sorts of fruits, veggies, and grains in. Just glad that I haven't gained any at all! When do we start the new thread?

Morning All!

I'm battling a cold I think. Or a sinus infection maybe. I don't know. It's nothing major yet. Yesterday I had a sore throat and swollen glands. I took apple cider vinegar and had chicken broth with like 7 whole cloves of garlic in an effort to fight this thing off before it hits me full force.

I'm going away this weekend and I canNOT be sick!!! Today my throat isn't sore anymore but it feels like I've got gook in my throat and maybe my sinuses, and I feel really tired. No other symptoms though. I'm doing apple cider vinegar again today, and broth with garlic. Do you guys know any other home remedies I can do to fight this thing before it turns into a full fledged cold?

FF- The only other thing I do is use EmergenC but I know its not a home remedy.

LCL - I am with you about starting up again. Have been really trying to jump back in and being more aware of what I am eating. Less Carbs is my main focus even if not all gone at once and no sugar at all.

FF: Garlic is good. Keep at that. (it will repell vampires too! LOL; seriously, I've learned to respect the stuff) are you taking zinc? Lots of rest, hot liquids, and maybe a hot steamy shower/bath. Hope you beat it soon.

Giving my two weeks at work kind of nervous and have only been there for a month but DH found a better job with more money so if I can be a SAHM, I will.

TOM started and getting back to eating much better. Weight is creeping down so all in all not bad. Going to hit the treadmill today or maybe go outside depending on weather.

Hello everyone, glad I found you again, sorry I went AWOL for a while. I know I'm a bit late for this challenge but I'm back and raring to go for the next one. Have been sticking pretty well to Primal/Paleo but I let too much sugar and some gluten-free carby goodies slip in over the holidays and I've realised they are making me feel rubbish, so I'm attempting the ban the sugar again and nudge that scale down, it's been stuck in the same place for far too long. Look forward to catching up on the next challenge! Gail.
