Hi all! I did make it to Northumberland - the snow didn't come until after I got home. And I behaved myself with the food - had to resist the chocolate topped flapjacks one of the group makes - and they are very hard to resist, let me tell you!

Got lots of snow still hanging about now. Expecting more for a few days, but hopefully it won't last much longer than that.

Managed to lose another couple of pounds too on the week. Yay!

I don't envy you that drive to Southend, Kissa!

8 mile walk, Lola! Massively impressed!

Damn, just a flying visit again, I'm always busy writing these days.

Kissa, VERY glad you made in back in all that snow. Please be careful with tomorrow's drive!

Lola, sorry about the dodgy tummy. With me, I suspect more and more that I might have some sort of a wheat/gluten intolerance. Pasta and bread upset my stomach something rotten. Potatoes, not so.

Shy, congrats on lack of matricide! So nice to see you around!

JFM, I am SO glad you are writing rather than dithering around online. A loss in the face of flapjacks deserves SERIOUS respect!!! *bows*

Mimosa, I am jealous of your butcher :-) Maybe your accent is just more impressive than mine when it comes to pronouncing "Please leave on at least SOME of the fat. I will PAY for it!!!"... mind you, the bloke in the Lebanese shop I get my lamb from is rather sweet ;-)

Mother (in East Yorks) has put on snow chains. I am surrounded by ice. This does not matter as I am incubating a cold and NOT intending to go out. Diet mainly soup (home-made; one lot of nearly-finished French onion, and an intensely concentrated garlic/chicken/ginger/chili business for the decimation of colds), plus cheese and some weird cornbread stuff, far too dry for normal use, but not bad drowned in soup.

Hope the snows treat you all decently!!

JFM, happy writing.

Mim, did you resist the alcohol at the weekend?

Mint, hope LC is still working for you.

Jan, good to see DS called you and is safe and well.

Blondie, hello!

All good here, had a busy but fun weekend in Dubai with Mr Fun For Now!

Morning all!

Well, we have a winter wonderland here! It looks like I'm in the Alps! So much snow fell yesterday afternoon and last night... Still snowing quite hard at the moment.
They didn't get the roads clear, apparently the gritters and snow ploughs worked through the night and the morning, but it keeps snowing more. Took me two hours to get in to work... Only 20 kilometers, amazing! Hopefully my home journey this evening will be a bit shorter!

The weekend was nice, not very exciting really. Went for walks with the dog in the snow which was great fun of course, and spent time reading and pottering about in the house.

I had one white wine spritzer, which was more mineral water than anything else, and it caused heartburn, so I guess I will leave that for now!

TOM is about to arrive so I had a funny restless night and I haven't weighed myself for a few days now... Too scared, LOL! Still, my face is less puffy and my 'fat' jeans are loosening up nicely! Forgot to measure myself... Really annoying, I will need to do this sometime soon, so I can check my inchloss.

For the rest, nothing much, still on the wagon and going strong!

My menu today:

B: BPC
L: Tuna with olive oil, maybe avocado if I can buy a ripe one and maybe some sundried tomatoes. Other options include: buffalo mozarella with pesto and sundried tomatoes...
D: No idea. We haven't discussed it this morning at home, as we were both in awe of the amount of snow that had to be cleared from the footpath and my car... I probably will have eggs in some form...

Have a great day everyone!

Hi all, I made it there and back to Southend, with no problems. And had a very positive meeting with the services too.

Scales said 128 this morning but I know I will kick those odd pounds away in no time. I am having a potato day today.

Glad everyone is doing well.

Morning All!

Finally it stopped snowing at about 9PM last night. I don't think I have seen this much snow fall in a day since I've lived here in Germany. Roads are clear-ish, still not great, but my journey in to work took only 10 minutes longer than usual, and that was more due to all the red lights I managed to catch...

TOM is here, have a nice headache to go along with it. Very annoying.

My menu today is:

B: BPC
L: leftover meatloaf (had meatloaf yesterday in the end) with avocado and some mayo
D: Omelette with spinach and bacon.

Have a great day everyone!

Scales said 125.6 again this morning. I am so happy just pootling around that 126 number all the time.

Glad your trip was a bit better this morning Mimosa. I am still looking out onto a winter wonderland here in Hampstead, but most roads are fine. Our tiny cul de sac is another story though....

Hi Everyone,

Kissa: Wow one day on potatoes and you dropped the 3lbs great stuff. Also glad the Southend trip wasn't too arduous.

Mimosa: You have my sympathy with TOM and those awful headaches I remember then well. Thank god I.ve passed through that phase now..into another one lol!!

Juno: Have you ventured out yet? Or are you still engulfed in soup lol.

Well despite telling everyone else take care in the ice and don't fall over...what did I do today...yep you.ve guessed slipped over on the ice. Despite wearing gripping snow shoes. Luckily I was well padded with my duvet coat and padding on my body...it was actually a graceful swan like kind of slide onto my backside lol. Luckily no injury done. Very icy and foggy her today though and freeeezing.

Great for the kids they love it all but I've had enough of it now.

Hi to everyone else....lucky you Blondie, Blotto and Mint in the lovely warm countries...

e had enough???? Me too. Hope you aren't too bruised Lola, it so easy to fall in this stuff.

I am hating being in the house with builders dust everywhere and all the noise and making endless coffees. ut neither do I want to go outside. Tomorrow, thank heavens, we are visiting friends in Harpenden.

I don't usually drop that much after a potato day, but it was a pleasant surprise.

It is a lovely place isn't it? They are lucky to have found a little 1970's house there 8 years ago which they have been able to extend and now it is a little goldmine. They are young, have 2 small children and love it there. Easy commute into London too.

Morning everyone!

Hope you are all well. Not doing personals at the mo, too much going on at work, so little time!

Anyway, I got my courage and hopped on the scales, and found that I had dropped another load of weight! I hadn't weighed myself in a while... I am now down another 5.9lbs! So a total of 14.7lbs lost so far... Am ecstatic!

Here's my menu for today:
B: BPC
L: Tuna, avocado, feta, olive oil
D: Not sure. May have an omelette again, maybe I'll have some steamed salmon with spinach and a browned butter sauce...

Have a good day everyone!
xx

Hi ladies,

I missed you all in my absence.....self-imposed punishment for not managing to lose my winter weight! Silly, but that makes me avoid logging on - just when I need it most - duh!

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Sorry about the nasty cold, Juno. And you were lucky not to break anything in that fall, Lola! Mimosa, wow to the weight loss! Kissa, shout hello to my mum who lives in a village outside Haprpenden!
Blotto, Mr Fun For Now sounds just perfect!

Hi to everyone else!

All well here. DS is loving the Air Force! I enjoy 'chatting' with the other AF moms from his group online (got to love fb groups!).

Taking myself back in hand TODAY! Will try and exercise every day and eat low carb until I get back to maintenance levels when I will go back to juddd.

Have a good day wherever you are.

Knock knock its quiet on here lol.

Hi Jan good to see you back and yes you do need to be here if you have fallen off the wagon ha ha.

Hope that you are back on track or more or less now. Its so cold here in the UK and quite hard not to eat to much to keep warm.

I.ve been kinda low carbing most of the week as things just interfered with JUDDD too much. Don't think I.ve really lost any but haven't gained so that is always a plus one.

Supposed to be a huge drop of snow in 2 hours but hopefully we will escape. DD is coming home from Somerset later tonight after work so hope for her that its all ok on the road. Big birthday celebration for DH...whose birthday is next Wednesday.

Yay its the weekend so enjoy whatever you are doing.

I am so fed up with this bitter weather. Enough already!!!!

I am enjoying a trial of Mike Mosleus5:2, downloaded it onto my Kindle. Very interesting, he is complimentary about LC and Alternate Day Fasting, but still promotes 5:2. Try anything once I say.

I was looking for something on Kindle re 5:2, so I'll look out for that! Is it LC on the DD? Also, can you give me some info on the potato day, I wonder if I could eat 'air' fries all day?

That was my iPad guessing after I misspelt it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Sunshine here at last although still cold. Cinema this afternoon, my include wine and olives. Enjoyed a share of haggis last night. Got to keep the traditions alive.

Mimosa, well done!

Jan, great to see you back. Glad DS is enjoying the air force.

Lola, glad you were okay when you slipped. Did DD arrive safely, and how was DHs celebrations?

Mint, thought you were doing LC?

Kissa, your life sounds fab as always.

Shy, have you moved your mum yet or is she still with you?

Juno, how is your cold?

We had a long weekend here but I didn't really do much - just the usual training etc. Oh, I did a 10k race in Dubai and I got a new personal best - 51.06, woo hoo!

I.m kicking you back on the path. Don't beat yourself up...what you've had to deal with would have sent most of us to drink, eat or whatever. Its done..OK?

Tomorrow is another day...and your Mum is now sorted and you can also move forward. I am sure also that you haven't done that much damage...cos you've been good recently. So forget about it and move forward tomorrow OK.

Blotto great with the PB...YAY.

Yep weekend been good...went to lovely Italian last night for DH Celebratory birthday..which is on Wednesday so another meal out awh.!!! Lovely to have DD back albeit for only 48 hours. DS also stayed over so lovely family weekend.
